My stepdad smoked a pipe as long as I knew him. He always had ONE pipe that he smoked it untill he got another pipe, which only happened maybe every other YEAR lol. I have never seen a pipe-cleaner in the house, nor I have seen a czech-tool. He just used his finger to temp the tobacco. He smoked Amphora original and sometimes Borkum Riff whiskey. I watched all that for over 30 years. He passed when he was 83, smoking the pipe was not related to his death.
This whole resting thing was never done. Pipe smokers would sit around all day with a single pipe in their hands and smoke. Talk some more pack again smoke more etc. my grandfather had 1 pipe at a time. Maybe two at most but almost always only used one.
I hope that’s me one day! 😅 smoking the same cob and Bugler daily as it’s all funds will allow what with daycare and grocery prices but it’s my relaxation! 😊
I'm very similar. I usually smoke once or twice every few days. I often smoke the same pipe a few times in a row. I definitely have enough to smoke a different one every day for almost a month if I wanted.
A great video and topic too! 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊 I do a mix…periods where I change every time….and periods where I smoke the same pipe for a week. However, like you….I clean it at the end of the day…and leave it de-stemmed to dry over night. Each to their own I guess…what ever individual preferences are…lovely smokes to you my friend 😊😊👍👍💨💨💨
hi thomas! I've been watching your videos for the past 3 nights in a row while smoking a pipe and I must say I'm enjoying it a lot. I usually smoke 1 or 2 pipes a day and must say that like you I don't really have a rotation. usually when I change my pipe I immediately change my favourite, not because the previous pipe was less enjoyable, but more because you suddenly realize how good your "new" pipe actually smokes. as for your content, keep it up! warm regards from the Netherlands!
Hi thomas. I recently found your channel and I must say that your videos and the way you present yourself have been a joy to watch. I hope you are well! Greetings from Belgium
Of course it depends on the weather condition of where you leave as well! There are so many humid places that no pipe can get dry and get ready to be smoked in 24 hours even if the smoker is not a heavy one and even he/she smokes once a day!😕 But what you said make totally sense for a one leaving in a normal climate with moderate weather condition!😊👍
Nice to have a fellow nord doing pipe videos. Love your content, instantly subbed last video. Looking forward to watching more of your content! / New piper from Sweden.
Hi Thomas. Super glad I found your channel. If you would ever like to try some American tobaccos like G L Pease or Cornell & Diehl to review, please let me know, I got a small stash. I'm based in Roskilde, so if you're ever in the area, let me know.
I have different pipes for different tobaccos and places , a pipe while I'm driving , day pipe and night pipes but all of them of the same make but different styles , I smoke alot in the evenings from 18.00 to 23.00 around 4 bowls ( lol 😆 👌 )Greetings from south africa 🇿🇦
I own about 30 pipes. I don’t call it a collection because I smoke all of them. I’ll go to my tobacco cabinet and choose a tobacco, then go to my pipe cabinet and choose a pipe in which I want to smoke that tobacco. I will give a pipe a few days rest before smoking it again.
A nice peterson system standard smokes damn good. I only have 5 pipes, 4 cobs one briar and the briar is a great smoke. I could’ve gotten almost 18 cobs for the price of this briar but it’s worth it the way they sit in the mouth and effortlessly stay lit. And the smoke comes out drier from the system 10/10 i think it’s personal preference not BS per say.

Well there you go...just awesome

Back in the Day us poor pipe smokers only had one or two pipes to smoke so it was not an issue. Thanks for the video. 💨

@@jesseboombatts8399 Wouldn't stress over a silly hobby. Only got three pipes, big one, little one and meerschaum, and that feels one too many.
Back in the day the tobacco was shit and people smoked not for taste.

I can’t live without Mac Baren
Which blend? Picked up Black Ambrosia and Vanilla Creme, not too crazy about them, maybe I'm just more of a traditional English Blend type of dude.
@@mattstiglic black ambrosia is very good
@@mattstiglic original choice is my favorite, and I love the amphora special reserve #2. I sadly have no english blends but I’d love to try them

I don’t know whether I need to rotate them, but I have so many pipes that I do it out of habit just so they all get smoked.
I do the same. It lets me rationalize having so many pipes if I continually switch to another so they all get smoked....lol.

Hey, everything alright? What about new video?
I own about 30 pipes. I don’t call it a collection because I smoke all of them.
I’ll go to my tobacco cabinet and choose a tobacco, then go to my pipe cabinet and choose a pipe in which I want to smoke that tobacco.
I will give a pipe a few days rest before smoking it again.
I don’t consciously rotate my pipes. I have so many pipes that they rotate themselves!
I put my pipe in a sock and throw it in the dryer. It comes out dry and smells like spring linen.
You Are jokikg rigtig?? 😂
@@thomasebdrup just kidding. BTW nice video and good info
I rotate s much as I can.
Hello to Denmark. Larsen tobacco 🤟🏻.
Here’s the “next video”?
