Yeah.. it sucks that they got robbed a few days ago. Luckely someone arrived at the building during the robbery so they didn't have the time to steal everything, but they managed to get away with a few PC's, monitors and consoles. I hope that the cops can find those scumbags. I also heard that Rooster Teeth have hired Agent Moose of the Canadian Assassins to handle the case.
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I greatly enjoyed this video. I think that the dynamic between you guys is great on a complex topic like this, and ya'll dumbed it down for me to a point where I could understand the issues, the sides of the debates, and appropriate the humor you guys injected into the conversation. hopefully ya'll do more topics like this, I would definitely watch!
Real quick: The larger the blocks, the bigger the blockchain, the more resources it takes to run a Bitcoin node. Therefore, keeping the blocks small allows more nodes to exist, thus keeping the network more decentralized.
14:15 the fact that all Lawrence got out of that joke was a wheezy chuckle from bruce, while James and Adam didn't flinch proves to me bruce and Lawrence have a psychic connection in which their greater unconsciousness dance together in the twilight of the milky way.
God damn, I try to convince my friends to watch DudeSoup but you guys are making it really tough now, can you teach me about mortgages and taxes next week
Adam, there's so many applications for blockchain as a whole. It's insane, and I'm glad you do realize that. It can be applied to almost every aspect of life, it's where it shouldn't be applied that truly worries us all.
I bought $35 worth of BC back in 2013. Sold it 8 months later for $45. If I had just kept it, it would be hundreds. It's way too late to get in now for a big haul, but if you have the cash to throw around, it's not a bad little payout
Man, it really hurts to agree with Adam. He's not great at explaining his position, but I fully agree with him that getting rich quick is a dumb plan. Investing long term with mutual funds is the way to go.
Fragarach Luin Wait? Mutual funds? No way. For investing in foreign companies, sure. But for domestic investments, you’re better with a simple ETF. Read “The intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham. It’s pretty much the #1 book on the subject and in the first chapter he explains thoroughly why you shouldn’t invest in mutual funds.
Can we just have a series where Lawrence teaches us and the guys stuff? This was pretty cool. Also: Feudalism>Capitalism>Dogecoin lol doge is the future.
you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. except Bruce wanting to become well off honorably. He is our Dark Knight.
This is how a discussion should take place. Clearly Bruce and Adam/James have differing opinions on crypto but they allowed each other to fully express themselves. Plus no screaming involved (a rarity amongst most discussions today). Good discussion boys.
Shit it's almost like large companies are stripmining the country for their own profits with no concern for how much the general population suffers from it.
12D3 The Woolong (symbol: ₩) is the standard unit of currency in the Cowboy Bebop universe. Woolongs are rarely traded in physical form, such as in banknotes and coins; it seems that the 2071 economy is based on digital cash.
But it kind of is... Although the assertion can't be taken at face value, a stable free market only works when the collective takes measures that prevent people from abusing the system. The government is supposed to be that, a representative of the collective, that sets regulations on the market to prevent chaos. Making sure the market works. Or that's what I think he was thinking of?
this has to be my favorite funhaus video of all time. very insightful and bounced around a few good insights, opinions, and philosophies you guys have. keep up the good content gents.
matthew Sedillo And refuses to even consider the argument from other people's perspective. He just shouts and tries to make jokes to mock anyone that he disagrees with.
I got into mining last year. Started off just using my desktop... and I was making around $100 - 150~ a month PART TIME mining alt coins, like zcash, zclassic, xmr, monero, etc. Then I got the S9 and make about $800~ a month on average. People give off a lot of misinformation about mining specifically to keep people out of it, sad thing is that it worked so well lmao! I did some day trading with BCH and shit tier altcoins, and it wasn't too bad. The new taxes affect non-like coins, so if you trade BCH FOR ETH, you get taxed which is pretty shit. So doing a lot of those trades, might not be the most cost-effective and efficient. But if you're just trading BCH, or BTC, and just buying/selling that ONE coin then it isn't an issue which is pretty decent. I made $400 relatively quickly from selling BCH at $2900 and then buying once it dipped back down to $2500 on thursday then just put that money right back into more BCH. It's fun but I will say, having to manage and use all the different wallets, markets and exchanges is pretty annoying. Also the fact that most exchanges have different price/values for the coins is kind of a shit thing. But that's a whole other story. I originally started with coinbase and then moved to gdax, then finally to coinigy. IMO if you can afford it, do it. There's no reason not to, unless you're an idiot. As long as you're not being stupid with the market, especially in regards to day trading... Don't sell after it's been dipping for a while, because more often than not it winds up recovering (At least for most major coins). Don't be one of those people who sells low, buys high, because you can't HOLD. But also don't be afraid to sell. Usually after a decent run of something like 20 - 40% I'll sell as soon as it dips. Wait for it to dip down to a decent amount and buy back whatever I was at basically. Also dollar-cost average is important, especially if you're starting out. If you've got $2000 to spend, maybe put like $500 into BCH, and ETH for example one month. Then the next month, put in that next $500 into BCH and ETH and honestly, you should be pretty good. As far as mining goes, totally worth it. Don't believe the bullshit about costs and it not being worth it, UNLESS, you don't have a decent GPU. AMD cards are better , if you've got a vega lying around, or a spare system then it's totally worth it (Assuming your kw/h is average). As far as if it will burst, and all that... Who knows. But, I've made all my money back and it's been all profit for the last few months. It's helped pay off a lot of debt, which is great! The whole korea thing isn't a big deal honestly. Same thing happened with China back late last year with BTC, market dipped and everyone thought it would be the end of the world... And that was when BTC was at $5000. lol? Also don't listen to warren buffet, when it comes to tech stuff IT IS NOT HIS STRONG SUIT. Back in the early 2000s he was talking about tech stocks and how terrible they are. He's a more old fashioned kind of guy, for normal typical business stuff, sure... But when it comes to tech stuff... I wouldn't weigh too much what he has to say. Just my .02! EDIT: I also want to point something out... Just to put things into perspective. My heater/heating bill is more than mining will ever be (Except in summer but then i've just got AC on. lol so it's still just as bad) Where I live in relatively cold, at least until summer. So most of the year I have the heater on in our house. Having the heater on for most of the day (Literally about half the day most often) generally adds about 50kwh to the daily energy usage. Mining (Full time with the antminer) is around 40~ which is running literally 24/7 and it added about $100~ to the monthly energy bill. So... Ya. Just keep that in mind.
lol you're an actual dumbass. Doing day trades and playing it extremely safe I make on average $200 - $400 every day or two just from BCH and that's not doing any "risky" trades. I literally make like 2 trades a day... Almost swing trading at this point. It's easy to just ride a small pump, even though BCH doesn't have very many, but it's easy when a lot of volume comes in to just ride the wave and sell it when it generally hits around $2700 - $2800~ then buy when it falls back down to 2400~ literally every day or two. Sure, it's not a very "fun" market. There aren't multiple pumps a day. But it's been very reliable, and I've found it to be quite safe. I've literally not lost a single dollar. Just been making money the entire time you sit around and act smart and post shit comments.
To James' point at 22:30ish, there's actually some crypto's that charge nothing to do transactions - Raiblocks makes you "mine" your own block to do Proof of Work when you transact, and IOTA makes you verify 2 other transactions before your transaction can be considered for verification.
As someone who never delved into bitcoin and has no monetary interest in it, I really enjoyed this podcast. It felt like it flew by then the ad read hit and almost 40 minutes had passed by.
Thank you for not falling for more RUclips drama. This is more interesting, especially in the light of South Korea and China proposing bans and regulations.
I was the same way Lawrence, I became exceptionally good at soldier 76 and decided one day that it isn’t as fun if you are just dominating with one player...not saying I enjoy losing but that point you made is interesting because certain individuals (like you and I) are inclined to do so as fairly and with as much empathy as possible and actually CARE about others enjoying the game too in a communal sense
All sarcastic and funny jokes aside...this Dude Soup was really helpful! I always enjoy watching/listening to the podcast every week, but this one stood out for me. I honestly had no idea what Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency was and now I have a better understanding on how it all works. Thanks guys, keep up the good work! Also I know it's RUclips so most of the comments are negative, but I only had positive things to say :)
dj llrbrv He disagrees with everyone's opinion on everything they ever talk about. I'm still not sure why they have him on dude soup. All his responses are 'Humans are trash'.
When talking about Coinbase's fees, they didn't mention you can eliminate almost all fees by using Coinbase's sister site GDAX. Though when you want to cash out big, use Gemini instead.
Everyone keeps referring to the stock market to show that people are doing well, but the stock market isn't indicative of all people. The stock market is just indicative of how mostly businesses/corporations are doing well, not the general population who cannot participate in the stock market and take advantage
GoFidoGo and that reflection of the economy matters by far the most to the super rich. 80% of stocks are owned by the top 10% richest people. Capital gains often do not translate to the lowly worker's paycheck
ive only just started watching Funhaus recently but i really like the crew and have been binge watching your content. This was the best. i love laughing at typical dude soups but i really appreciated hearing a more tame and serious theory discussion on this one. i wish someone there knew more about ETH and/or IOTA tho cause it mightve answered some of the questions in this episode.
This episode is basically like being stuck at Thanksgiving with only the drunk uncles of the family while the only television in the house is tuned onto an episode of Mad Money.
Really loved this one guys! Generally stop by for just an hour or so of just watching you guys shoot the shit, but I was genuinely interested and enjoyed the subject! Love you guys, keep it up! :)
Everything Bruce has mentioned is what I've told my friends when they asked me how I make money with crypto... also this ties in one of the other DudeSoup eps where you guys were talking about where people are trying to horde as much as possible.
I fucking love this podcast. It's always fun seeing you guys play your characters being funny, but I forget that the Funhaus crew is actually quite clever
Hey, I don't know if you guys noticed or not, but your office is missing.
Yeah.. it sucks that they got robbed a few days ago. Luckely someone arrived at the building during the robbery so they didn't have the time to steal everything, but they managed to get away with a few PC's, monitors and consoles. I hope that the cops can find those scumbags.
I also heard that Rooster Teeth have hired Agent Moose of the Canadian Assassins to handle the case.
and elyse is missing too in the background...SHE STOLE ALL THE STUFF
Eumelanin Knight Bruce sold everything and traded it for Bitcoin$
I bet it was the same people who stole Spoole's bag of change!
Elyse fled to a secret location with Benson to mine bitcoin with all the computers
I remember back when Bitcoin was only for buying drugs on the dark net
yh which is why i didn't buy it, i thought it was for criminals
I jumped the gun with bitcoin and sold too early but I ended up making a lot through litecoin
dont forget child pornography and sex trafficking
Don't feel bad, my wallet was seized during the whole silk road things and I had 10.3 coins in it.
I miss the good old days where it was for drugs
Weird seeing your office so empty! Good luck with the move :)
Glad someone else noticed lol, it was the first thing I noticed wierdly XD
Isn't the move literally down the hall.
Not down the hall, but it's the floor above I think.
Adam said its like 15 feet away...
King Awesome 15 ft up or 15 ft across?
Is the place so empty because they sold all the office inventory and PCs to buy cryptocurrency?
Mporse yes, that and shark cards
Kept the pc's to mine
3 PCs worth on a 65:25:10 split between ADA, TNB and MOD
I just realized Bruce has to look at the Alfredo-tattoo every time he smashin
Good sugar pine reference
Watching Laurence try to explain blockchain without going into detail is part hilarious and part impressive
Buy Fedora coin
iSorrowproductions I can't deal with isorrow on funhaus videos.
are you planning to be the new Larrybundy jr?
Nah fam DogeCoin is where it's at
What about Bunnings Bucks?
It makes me happy that ISP watches funhaus xD
Hope you guys are enjoying your new schedule! And hope the move goes well
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I greatly enjoyed this video. I think that the dynamic between you guys is great on a complex topic like this, and ya'll dumbed it down for me to a point where I could understand the issues, the sides of the debates, and appropriate the humor you guys injected into the conversation. hopefully ya'll do more topics like this, I would definitely watch!

I️ only want that crypto currency if Jimmy Hollywood is there to spend it with me. Keep on movin up buddy😔
Nikelas Williamson wait isn’t it Jimmy
Kurt Wagner shit
It's Jimmy, and he's dead.
Sky's the limit!
Update your iPhone!
14:15 the fact that all Lawrence got out of that joke was a wheezy chuckle from bruce, while James and Adam didn't flinch proves to me bruce and Lawrence have a psychic connection in which their greater unconsciousness dance together in the twilight of the milky way.
Watching this after the crash sure is interesting
Watching 4 years later: which crash? lol
God damn, I try to convince my friends to watch DudeSoup but you guys are making it really tough now, can you teach me about mortgages and taxes next week
90 mins? That's amazing!
SELL SELL SELL!!
BUY BUY BUY!!
Yes, store it in a flash drive and put it in a safe lol.
MINE! MINE! MINE!
NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!
BUY THE DIP AND HODL!
Is that a statue of Elyse in the background ?
Karim Mohamed That IS Elyse
It's a diversity hire
Adam, there's so many applications for blockchain as a whole. It's insane, and I'm glad you do realize that. It can be applied to almost every aspect of life, it's where it shouldn't be applied that truly worries us all.
James - The voice of reason.
I bought $35 worth of BC back in 2013. Sold it 8 months later for $45. If I had just kept it, it would be hundreds. It's way too late to get in now for a big haul, but if you have the cash to throw around, it's not a bad little payout
Geez the desks are all gone! The room looks so empty.
Man, it really hurts to agree with Adam. He's not great at explaining his position, but I fully agree with him that getting rich quick is a dumb plan. Investing long term with mutual funds is the way to go.
Fragarach Luin but crypto isn’t getting rich quick. It is for crypto noobs. But there are long term investments you can make in crypto.
Tizou007 crypto currency is the complete opposite of "the long term" way lmao
Why not have money in both?
steveXracer Yea I know haha I was responding to someone else
Fragarach Luin Wait? Mutual funds? No way. For investing in foreign companies, sure. But for domestic investments, you’re better with a simple ETF. Read “The intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham. It’s pretty much the #1 book on the subject and in the first chapter he explains thoroughly why you shouldn’t invest in mutual funds.
Definitely one of my FAVOURITE episodes of dude soup ever!!
I love Lawrence's ad reads. I look forward to his spin on everything lol
What day is today?? I'm confused... FH used to be my calendar.
It's Rusev Day
I'm just glad that CatPianoClassics stood in victory against prawn water.
14:28 the head rotating to B and then the deflated laugh with straight faces rotating back well a smile slowly dissolves away
Can we just have a series where Lawrence teaches us and the guys stuff? This was pretty cool.
Also: Feudalism>Capitalism>Dogecoin
lol doge is the future.
You guys spent almost two hours discussing cryptocurrency and I still have no idea wtf is a bitcoin
you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. except Bruce wanting to become well off honorably. He is our Dark Knight.
I like the longer podcast. It feels like you guys can take your time and really discuss the topic. Doesn't feel as rushed anymore.
This is how a discussion should take place. Clearly Bruce and Adam/James have differing opinions on crypto but they allowed each other to fully express themselves. Plus no screaming involved (a rarity amongst most discussions today). Good discussion boys.
"Just to Ping it, No pun intended!". Lawrence, I love you.
I love how the neckline deepens from left to right.
I love FH. Bruce's smile is so innocent then he talks about shoving eggs up snatches...way to equal it out Bruce..lmao
What most want was the kind of life we had in the golden era 50s-80s financially. Unfortunately the middle class went away somehow since then.
Shit it's almost like large companies are stripmining the country for their own profits with no concern for how much the general population suffers from it.
Imagine future school children watching a bland documentary on the Great Bitcoin Crash of 2022 and writing an essay on its impact
the good thing about living paycheck to paycheck is not having to worry about investing.
poppaDehorn 2meIRL4meIRL
*Bruce laughing at the ping joke* Never change man, please.
34:37 Lawrence quietly watching the gameplay whilst Adam, Bruce and James argue over cryptos. I don't know why I find this so funny.
Cowboy Bebop had it right with cryptocurrency
The Based Don Holy Didn't they have Wulongs? How are they like CC?
12D3 The Woolong (symbol: ₩) is the standard unit of currency in the Cowboy Bebop universe. Woolongs are rarely traded in physical form, such as in banknotes and coins; it seems that the 2071 economy is based on digital cash.
The Based Don Holy Oh yeah, now I remember. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the refresher, I've been meaning to re-watch CB for a while now
Really enjoyed this podcast. Minimal game chat but more life chat.
"The government is the free market."
James Willems, 2018
James has deeply flawed insights on a curious set of topics.
Someone should make that into a galaxy brain meme.
That’s taken out of context.
+osbely Welcome to the internet buddy.
But it kind of is... Although the assertion can't be taken at face value, a stable free market only works when the collective takes measures that prevent people from abusing the system. Best kind of Dude Soupe. Perfect blend of debate, journalism and comedy. Funhaus' 2018 looking good so far.
Bruce is leaving FH to become a bitcoin door to door salesman.
this has to be my favorite funhaus video of all time.
very insightful and bounced around a few good insights, opinions, and philosophies you guys have.
keep up the good content gents.
Man, the more I see and get to know of Adam's life, the sadder it feels. I hope he is doing fine.
James always sounds so angry when debating. I feel like he takes it all to heart lol
thats how you get a lively show
matthew Sedillo And refuses to even consider the argument from other people's perspective. He just shouts and tries to make jokes to mock anyone that he disagrees with.
Thanks for bringing back hard netting, I was worried it went away!
I really really like this longer format video!
loved the longer podcast, and interesting topic, too! Felt more....in depth, in a good way.
if this new format of Funhaus means we get twice the amount of time for a Dude Soup I am a very happy chappy indeed.
Bruce got jacked in the past 8 months. Well done Bruce.

It didn't work
Please stop. Bigger hash distribution I need money baby :(.
cilayin Bitcoin is going down the toilet
Whew, longer Dude Soup! My wish has been granted.
i love how excited these guys are
Watching at .5 speed makes everyone sound high and I love it
To James' point at 22:30ish, there's actually some crypto's that charge nothing to do transactions - Raiblocks makes you "mine" your own block to do Proof of Work when you transact, and IOTA makes you verify 2 other transactions before your transaction can be considered for verification.
This is unrelated but the casino bit in Last Jedi would've been AMAZING if it was Poe and Finn meeting good old Lando Calrissian.
As someone who never delved into bitcoin and has no monetary interest in it, I really enjoyed this podcast. It felt like it flew by then the ad read hit and almost 40 minutes had passed by.
Thank you for not falling for more RUclips drama. This is more interesting, especially in the light of South Korea and China proposing bans and regulations.
i think it was the best dude soup so far. keep up the good work!
Am I the only one who noticed james falling asleep XD?
90 min of soup is A-okay with me
I was the same way Lawrence, I became exceptionally good at soldier 76 and decided one day that it isn’t as fun if you are just dominating with one player...not saying I enjoy losing but that point you made is interesting because certain individuals (like you and I) are inclined to do so as fairly and with as much empathy as possible and actually CARE about others enjoying the game too in a communal sense
15:59 Zeppelins go down quite smoothly since the switch to helium all those years ago, dear Adam.
Forget to mention earlier I love the longer format
Any chance we'll ever see HausCoin? And will I be able to buy in using my Venom #1s?
I love Kurzgesagt. Fantastic RUclips channel and it's awesome Adam watches it lol
Hey Lawrence just wanted to say your a really smart guy and you have my respect👍
James just ain’t having it this episode
I feel like both James and Elyse have been like that recently in videos
We call that projecting.
dj llrbrv He disagrees with everyone's opinion on everything they ever talk about. I'm still not sure why they have him on dude soup. All his responses are 'Humans are trash'.
Bill Birsay but humans are trash.
Bill Birsay you sure care a lot about his opinion since you keep replying to people just saying the same thing.
Its a 90 minute Podcast!!!
but its about BitCoin...
When talking about Coinbase's fees, they didn't mention you can eliminate almost all fees by using Coinbase's sister site GDAX. Though when you want to cash out big, use Gemini instead.
Buy low sell high, remember what goes up always goes down.
I honestly never understood bitcoin so thank you guys this was so nicely explained
Best podcast in a long time.
Wish funhaus had a cooking segment, that would be great.
Believe me Bruce a lot of people have lost money with the bitconnect crash. But this was after this podcast.
Everyone keeps referring to the stock market to show that people are doing well, but the stock market isn't indicative of all people. The stock market is just indicative of how mostly businesses/corporations are doing well, not the general population who cannot participate in the stock market and take advantage
NoGloveNoLove32 I don't think you know how the stock market works bud.
If you want to participate in the stock market without huge amounts if capital download robinhood
NoGloveNoLove32 stock market isn't (just) a game that rich people play. Without rampant speculation, it is a useful reflection of the economy.
GoFidoGo and that reflection of the economy matters by far the most to the super rich. 80% of stocks are owned by the top 10% richest people. Capital gains often do not translate to the lowly worker's paycheck

The knowledge guy is back.
They predicted Bitcoin & Fit Loins.
Everything Bruce has mentioned is what I've told my friends when they asked me how I make money with crypto... also this ties in one of the other DudeSoup eps where you guys were talking about where people are trying to horde as much as possible.
James displays the same emotions I had during this podcast
Poor James, the look on his face 99% of the video...
7:41 lol
Leon sounds like you are too
I'd rather get the ETC boneless water. It's high quality and just 15 bucks.
It’s Thursday my dudes
Fulham hamster I used to say it's Wednesday my dudes and it's time to talk to my buddies on dude soup.
Mmm, a bigger bowl of Dude Soup! :D
1 hr 40 mins?! OH MYYYYYYYY
