@@walker1984the actor who played Jean-Luc didn’t have the popularity like Cody did, so I guess that’s why they brought him back. I didn’t like Jean-Luc and Cody was way better.

That's B.S that the youngest daughter did want to move on into a new house. I did't like that the show ended with that! Should have ended with, Cody's return better.

Should have just ended with them moving to the new house since it was cancelled anyway. That series finale was super similar to the season 7 finale of full house. Ironically the season 7 finale for both shows

why do the audience cheer in the later seasons when one of the characters shows up like jt for example? they did this with family matters, married with children, full house etc...
It is how sitcoms with laugh-tracks in the nineties worked (although they overdid it in these later seasons of _Step by Step._ It was more about the popular characters until Cody left due to actors personal issues. This was his return Famous people entering also get that treatment of applause.

During season 6, Josh Byrne quit acting and left the show. His character (Brendan Lambert) was then never seen or mentioned at all for the rest of the series. Brendan's disappearance was never explained.

@@Cameo90s I hate to say it, but it’s not like he was an essential part of the show. He had maybe one A-plot during his entire time on the series. The show was basically Cody, Dana, Al, Karen, and J.T., and to a lesser extent the parents.

@@HovaNirvana He was at an awkward age. Dana and JT are roughly the same age, Karen is only like a year younger, Al and Mark are similar ages, and Brendan was the baby of the family until Lilly came along. They were able to write some storylines with him, Mark, and a lesser extent Al in the early seasons where they were kids (Mark/Al preteen) but once he was still a kid among Frank and Carol's adult/near adult children they couldn't really do any more with his character.
