The PIN code to save the princess is 2625, corresponding to the letters @naL on the keyboard.
"How is killing a dog relevant?!"
Showing the willingness to execute something or someone you care for in the name of duty. What if your best friend turns traitor? You have to be able to stop them, despite your feelings. It's cruel (and probably traumatizing to all parties) but I see the purpose.
*_It’s not about the dog: It’s about “If your best friend or a family member or a member of the Kinsmen or your favorite world leader (like we’ll see later in the movie) were to turn and become a threat to millions or billions: Would you have the guts to pull the trigger on your own mother? Your own lover? Your own comrades at arms or king? (Just to save those millions and billions of people!)” The dog is an allegory, not a literal threat_*
Makes sense. I'd still choose the dog tbh 🐕
Yeah, I agree with this reasoning. I must have been exactly that.
"I'm scared and kind of aroused by her..."
🤣🤣🤣
Sophia Boutella is a dime in everything 😍 To see her be a badass beauty with all her limbs - Hotel Artemis, a cyberpunk crime thriller with an amazing cast
The church scene, halfway through, is such a surprise when it happens due to its insane kinetic violence and great use of the song Free Bird.
Collin Firth is great in his role and as an actor you do not usually associate with action, he delivers.
Samuel Jackson is great everywhere he is. Even a crappy movie will become a classic when Jackson is in it (as Snakes on a Plane proves).
Overall, quite serviceable and enjoyable due to some breathtakingly staged action scenes and capable actors.
@@davidmeir9348 that church scene had me feeling 20 different emotions at once 😅😂
Fun fact. In the comic it was Mark Hamil that was kidnapped in the cottage. So in the movie it was Professor Arnold, played by Mark Hamill.
Really looking forward to this, Shree. See you tonight
Wow, that's wonderful that he took the part 😃 Hope you enjoy!
@@ShreeNation I'll be ready with a word play as usual
"Oxfords and brogues are shoes, or am I tripping?"
No Shree, you aren't tripping over your shoes 😉
For another off-beat Colin Firth role, try the St Trinians comedies. The sequel (also with Firth) has David Tennant 🤓
Heh, I stepped right into that one 👞👞
Thank you for the recommendation ☺️
But the film doesn't seem to care about the fact that Oxfords can be brogues and brogues can be Oxfords. 😄
Now you have to watch Kingsmen: The Golden Circle to see how Eggsy got the part playing Elton John. Though I personally prefer this movie over the sequel
Thank you,will do ☺️
11:04: "If you are looking for another Rent Boy, they are on the corner of Smith Street".
23:32: "Effin Hell that is Rank Harry", Meaning, That is disgusting.
A rent boy is a male you hire for sex....
If you didn't find the princess' specific words online - "If you save the world, we can do it in the @sshole!" - they are referenced in the sequel.
55:26 (Always good to put a time stamps when you comment a specific part ;) )
"And thank you for such a ... happy meal!!"😆😆😆
33:41 And that's unfortunately wrong. An Oxford is a shoe with closed (!) lacing. And an Oxford can certainly be decorated with broguing.
The sentence "Oxfords, not Brogues!" would only make sense if it were an advice to wear only Oxfords that are not brogues as well.
However, the film doesn't seem to suggest this explanation.
Remember that this was a code phrase? People who know that this is the wrong answer would never say it. Combine that with a secret phone number and it's extremely unlikely anyone would make that call accidentally. You might dial the number by accident, but doing it on purpose and also getting this code right? Nope.
I see the explanation later as an explanation to where the code originated.
I'm reminded of a Birds of Prey comic where Oracle had an area booby trapped with voice activation codes. Each code were three words no one would ever say together. That was not just a security measure so others couldn't use it against her, but also a safety feature so she wouldn't accidentally set something off while having a normal conversation.
29:25 Sweden is a part of Scandinavia
Watch "Election" (1999) with Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon.
I feel Matt Vaughn is best when blending Guy Ritchie style (slick Brits, great music, funny villains) with comic book aesthetics. Matt produced most of Guy's early films, and picked up a lot of his directing style from Guy.
Layer Cake (Vaughn's directorial debut) is almost beat for beat a GR movie, then Matt spends some time in book/comic land (Stardust, X-men First Class, Kick-Ass) before really hitting gold with Kingsmen 1 & 2.
Nice, will check out more of his films 😍
The shower head thing wouldn't work. There would be huge amounts of water going through the pipe, no air, or sewer gas as the case may be.
Hahah, I felt like it didn't make any sense 😅😆 Still fun to watch though, people resorting to having toilet breath than finding a way out.
Water isn't always running down drain pipes and they're not directly connected to any sewer gasses. The U-bend is an air pressure trap and at the other end is a similar air pressure trap preventing fluid or gaseous backflow up from the sewage pipes or septic tank. The air supply is not unlimited as Merlin states, nor is it exactly fresh as anything except brand new water pipes will have some kind of internal mold or decay, but it's hardly sewer gas. it will last someone as long as half an hour if they exhale into the water to prevent carbon dioxide toxicity.
If you're on a Colin Firth kick and want to see him in another spy movie, he's pretty good in the 2011 remake of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Thanks for recommending 😇
The head popping scene was the chef’s kiss in this movie. So unexpected. Namaste 🙏 .
Namaste, hope you enjoy 🙏😇
Some movies are brains-out fun movies, this is most definitely one, as is The Fifth Element.
Rank means disgusting or gross, a couple of geographical points, Sweden is part of Scandinavia, just as Scotland is part of Britain.
Thanks for letting me know!
Can’t thank you enough for bringing this insane movie back to my attention. I forgot how insane this movie was.
My pleasure ☺️ Hope you enjoy!
@@ShreeNation Trust me I did it’s been a while since I’ve seen this movie !
If you can't kill a dog, how can you kill to save lives.
If my dog betrays me for a million dollars or overthrows a government, I might reconsider.
The church group were a parody of West borough baptist church at the time, though now you could mistake them for the entire republican party under Trump.
Hi Shree, great to see you react to & enjoy so much, this film. If you want to see a young actor named Michael Caine in his own spy film, try (The Ipcress File) from 1965. In it he first portrays the character of Harry Palmer, British secret agent. There are 4 other films after that, in which he continues to portray that character.
Personally, I think only (The Ipcress File) itself & it`s 2 original sequels in the `60`s are worth watching. Though, I just had to watch them all myself, as it was Michael Caine after all.
Thanks for the recommendation!!
You'd be rushing too if you were promised what Eggsy was promised by the Princess, lol.
Great Reation!
Haha thanks for watching 😁😇
Bravo Shree👏I knew You'd have SO MUCH FUN with this Reaction🥰I'm just Sorry (again) that I couldn't be here for the Premiere!💔I too am Stunned that only one little line of Dialogue was Censored, and yet🤷♂everything else in This Movie was Acceptable! (LOL) If You thought all of this was a Guilty Pleasure😉just wait until You watch "The Golden Circle!"👌
Thanks for watching tom, so glad you enjoyed ☺️ Can't wait for Golden Circle!
Find the full uncut version, then your wish shall be granted.....
The I'm scared, and aroused comment immediately brought to mind Deadpool where they came to the term Scaroused. Love the reaction, and the church scene has to be one of the best fight scenes in history
Thanks for watching 😊
It boggles my mind how so many wouldn't even blink an eye when people are getting massacred onscreen, but killing an animal in a movie is a hard NO. It's actually fascinating, couse from logical standpoint I would expect to see stronger emotional reaction to the sight of killing of your own species.
Good point. I think it's because a dog can't point a gun and shoot. Much like the child in the end, a dog is helpless to human violence.
One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic. We lack the breadth of mind to truly comprehend death on such a massive scale as Valentine's 'culling' but when it's shown being down to a single target like the dog, Eggsy's mom (from Dean) or sister (from the berserked mom) it becomes real.
One thing that doesn't bare thinking about is how many babies were most likely killed by their parents whilst under Valentine's mind control
I know right? Terrifying
The shear delight on Shree's face when there's a cool, gory death...what a woman 😅❤
"This is turning into a video game now!"
If you like the 1st person POV shots, try Hardcore Henry, a cyberpunk action movie done entirely in 1st person
Can't wait 😍
Relax, girl. A great Marvel Comics Franchise.
Great movie
Saints Row the movie :>
You are correct she is from Sweden 😊 so am I
Greetings 🤗
@@ShreeNation yeah likewise 😁😊
Great movie. The Kingsman movies are the true modern Bond movies not the Daniel Craig Bond movies crap.
@@totomomo18 thank you, hope you enjoy 🙏
Nice
Rank means gross sick
Shree. Are you going to see Bad Boys Ride Or Die?
I'm definitely going to, once I watch the first Bad Boys movies 😍
I need to watch this movie so i can watch your reaction after
It's so worth it, you're gonna love it 😍
@@ShreeNation just wanted to say i finally watched it. then i watched your reaction right after! thx shree😃
Hi Shree, how's it going?
@@aranerem5569 I'm good Aran, hope you are doing well
To slow Tom...too SLOW! Thought for sure you'd beat me here! Hi Shree!👋
@@e.d.2096 hahaha, hi Eric! Hope you enjoy today's premiere 😇🙏
Thank you.
Please forgive me, I think you missed the point, in the skydiving scene the recruits do work together. They pull their parachutes in order so that if the one pulling their chute has the missing faulty chute the others will be their to help them, as Eggsy and Roxy work together at the end to both, land safely.
Sweden, as well as Norway, but also sometimes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands are countries in the geographical region of Scandinavia, a subregion of Northern Europe, with strong historical, cultural, and linguistic ties between its peoples.
Rank usually, in this context, would mean foul or smelly, but could also mean disgusting or horrible among other synonyms. Please forgive my over informative nature.
Thank you for the info :)
wasn't the test about following orders? a test of loyalty to something greater to achieve more? despite the dog
