What an incredible collection. There should be a book about this guy. I found John Mcdivitt's obituary. There was no mention of his world class work or family. Only that he was salesman at the Pittsburgh Metal purifying Co. A guy with his talents should be celebrated.
this was a honor to watch, I am sure John is very pleased for you to showcase his work, I could only hope to have the skill he had, Beautiful work. Happy Birthday John, now and forever.
Great attention to details shure took pride in his hobby do not see craftsmanship like that to often truly enjoyed the vidio got some greate ideas for my own hobby mechine shop I'm every much in love with 1/3 scale 1/4 scale steam happy birth day jhon
The attention to detail is a joy to behold. Every bolt nicely rounded; a beautiful finish without a scratch in sight. Also a great choice of colours for the engines. I was about to remark "And every single one of them runs sweetly like a swiss watch!", but then, at 7:13 you use this simile yourself ;-) Thanks ever so much for sharing the images of these engines running!
A magnificent craftsman indeed. We can't take our stuff with us. I pray John knows Jesus. It behooves us to know Him. Perhaps we will see our stuff again.
you have a magnificent collection sir, hats off to your gentleman machinist friend john. I have watched your Tiny Power W engine hundreds of times and even embarked on building one. i think I will start with a M to build up skills.
Brilliant work by Mr. McDivitt. I often wonder when I see craftsmanship like this, what the builders workshop and machinery looked like. Do you have any video or photos of the workshop where Mr. McDivitt created these beauties? Great tribute too by the way. Well done.
What a fitting Tribute to John V McDvitt for his Steam Engines are a Work of Art.
