- This is a speedrun of the first 3D Frogger game for the PlayStation. The objective is to gather every frog in the game and complete every level. This run had no game overs which is a nice accomplishment as well. This means that after the credits, when the game reviews your new records, it shows every level.

@@andrewbas The Menu/High score music, cave music, and sky music are some of my favorite tracks in the game. I loved playing this game as a kid 22 years ago on pc and still ocassionally play the game.

The way that he moves has no reason or rhyme,
He hops and jumps, dodges and ducks.

The inability of your stream audience to understand the concept of milk in a bag after 5 minutes tells me a lot about the type of people who watch Frogger streamers. But you did a great job bro. Fave game of my childhood. Strong work

I never beat this game but played it for a few years on and off when I was like 11-12. Loved it.

We never made it past machinery levels 😂Deadass didn’t even know there were this many zones I can’t wait to show my brother! amazing! this game came free which my parents computer from '98 or something (i was born '99) and i played this for hours when i was a child and never finished it haha but then i returned to it about 2 years ago and finally completed my childhood game :D

Damn. I can't believe I still remember most of these stages. I haven't seen this game for at least 18 years. Some crazy memories going on right now. I remember raging quite a bit, especially on that sliding stage at 23:50 lol

I got so far into this game as a kid. I just tried replaying as an adult, after YEARS AND YEARS of not playing. This game is a CHALLENGE! I kind of wish it had difficulty modes: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Literally all they'd have to do is give extra time for Easy, and just enough time for Hard.

I would play this when I was about 4 on our internet-less Tulip Windows 98. Frogger was particularly special to me because we borrowed the disc from my Grandpa ❤ Miss him so much (also miss playing Frogger on the Tulip but not quite as much hehe)

I recently watched a "top 10 characters we want in Smash" and one recommendation was Frogger and man, nostalgic shot. I remember this game as I played it along with Crash and Mario. ha. I love the first zone music.

You can emulate it on PC with a PS1 emulator.
There's also a PC version. I was actually able to run it (with our old disk) on a Win10 computer.
idk what i was expecting the world record Frogger speedrun to look like but I never could have predicted so much of it would be bagged milk discussion

What. A. Game. I remember I though uncanny crusher was the hardest shit ever and you fly through like it’s nothing lol. Still don’t think I ever beat the second desert level.

Oh my god this game was my jam as a kid. I never unlocked the desert or the final level....or more than 4 levels in a single world but holy shit I played this game SO MUCH as a kid I hated the sewer levels and could never get past them and the loon levels giving you so much time made me think they were crazy hard as a kid I don't think I ever beat the sunset one

I feel like this was one of those games that should have created speedrunning, but apparently it did not have much of an impact on that crowd.
Really it’s pretty good on half the levels…then the other half have the camera zoomed so far in you can only see 2 tiles ahead.
Furthest I got was cloud zone growing up… this game as well as eGames’ collection on disc and any Humongous Entertainment games like Pajama Sam, Freddie the Fish, and Putt Putt/Spy Fox made my childhood on the computer

i really enjoyed this, although 8 year old me is destroyed haha, i used to spend weeks on a level trying to find all the frogs. My Tiny PC could narely run this above 10fps lol. How are you running this? a emulator? id love to give this another go if it can work with widows 10. Thanks in advance
This was played on the PS1 version. I think there's a way to get the PC version running, though I've not taken the time to figure it out.
U have to have a disk or illigelly download it
@@benbeesley3628 "Illegally" Considering the publisher no longer sells it, and may not even be in business anymore, I'm not 100% sure it counts anymore (could be wrong, but at this point not sure I care).

I remember playing this for months as a kid to beat it and this guy just casually beats it in an hour 💀 For real though, this game has some of the best level design and diversity in gaming

You can still play it. You just have to emulate it. I play mine off my ps1 mini, but a pc will work too

hello i'm here to inform ya there is a PC version which does load faster than tha PS1 version, however, good luck with gettin' tha music to work on any Windows newer than Windows 98

how long had you played the game for before doing this speedrun?
I've played Frogger off & on for about 6 years, but a large portion of that time was spent not playing Frogger. This is a game I generally just do runs of for fun from time to time. I decided to finally go back and do a run of this category, but this isn't hugely optimized.
Is it possible for the Time Flies warp to take you to other parts of the level, or just those 2 spots?
There's a few warps but I think these were the useful ones
I probably spent like an hour on Uncanny Crusher and even then I didn’t beat it lol meanwhile this genius beats the whole thing in less than an hour!
I loved this game! I want it! How can I get this exact version of frogger? Anyone know options? I know I can buy disc and assume play on any windows computer...
So i play on a ps2 with the ps1 version, but if you're trying to get the PC version up and running go to highwayfrogs.net you need to install a number of mods to get the PC version to run comfortably on modern computers and fortunately there's an active modding community.
