i don't have any concrete plans to head to Font this year, but i would really like to!! i'm so glad you released this video as someone who's been going for 4 years :~) it looks like a dream!
Ahhh exciting! If you can, definitely do! Late summer and autumn time in the forest are especially beautiful and you should have some more reliable weather. Let us know if you do end up booking a trip, we hope to be in the forest a fair bit this year so it would be great if one of our trips overlapped 😀
it's a great video! i'd say it's better not to recommend climbing at night since it's actually not allowed and bad for the forest . apart from that, i loved every minute of it!, especially the tips on how hard it is to climb here and how to respect the rock :)
Awesome tips, I look forward to my first trip to font. I'll definitely be going at some point but I don't know when. I'll have to save this video to watch again once we get the trip booked! :D
Great video, really like the narration and insights. I really want to visit font some day, thanks for sharing your essentials. Oh, great camera work, I really liked the b-roll shots of the environment, specifically the beetle shot!
Thanks! Appreciate that. It would be great if you could do a big trip to Font one day! It’s a magical place. There are lots of places in the US on my bucket list too! 😀
Thank you for this very much! We decided that we want to go to Font on the first week of October this year and I am already starting to gather information on everything basically as this will be our first trip to font and first bouldering trip overall.
Good vid, just one thing to adjust, you don't need a lamp in Font. Like all the Natura 2000 natural site it's forbiden to climb at night. Please pass this message also to preserve all this ecosystem.
Nice! Hoping to go this year. Sorry if I missed this but How long do you usually go for when you’ve been? In terms of air bnb costs are they quite reasonable? Oh and how long does it take to get there? Thanks 😊
Hi, that's exciting! We usually go for around a week or 10 days when we do. We've stayed with a group of friends each time so AirBnb costs have been quite low between a few people. You can usually find really affordable accommodation out of the centre of Font. We drive from Leeds to Dover and stop over with family en-route and it takes us around 8 hours of driving. It's around 4.5 hours from Calais to the Forest. :)
I'm going to font this year in early August. Any advice on how to stay cool during hot conditions? I've looked into buying a fan but don't really know if it's worth it to spend the £150+
Are there any lakes or ponds in the forest? I'm a fisherman who just started climbing and now all I do is climb but I'd love to take a trip to Fountainbleu at some point. I love your videos you do a really good job editing.
You can fish in the river I believe but I’m not sure other than that - there are a couple of camp sites that have fishing on site. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. Fontainebleau is definitely worth a visit!
Random fun fact: Back in the day, when crashpads weren't really a thing and there therefore was no need to move them, the goal was to climb a full circuit without touching any ground that isn't rock.
@@hannahmorrisbouldering you actually can still try on a bunch of them, especially the easier ones. lots of sketchy but super fun hoppidy-hop between rocks and boulders.
So many good clips! I agree with all your tips too! xxx
Great job Hannah!
Thanks Matt! :D

Glad you enjoyed it!
Once again, really really liking the videos. I know you’re not just a climbing channel but definitely one of my fav channels to watch.
Candid Climber thanks! Not a climbing channel, but lots of climbing content by virtue of the fact that it’s practically all I do haha. 🥳
Good video Hannah. Lots of good information. Really enjoyed watching. Thanks Steve.
Thanks for watching Steve!
Hopefully I can make a trip over there next year! Great cinematography as always
Thanks so much. A trip to the forest is always a good idea! 🥳

Nice one Hannah, love the vids. I’m using your vids to convince my partner that font is the place for our next trip :-)
Yes! Hopefully they’re convincing! Have you ever been before? 🥳
Hannah Morris not yet and we would be travelling from NZ so it’s a long way but looks so worth it :-) your vids are rad, keep them up!!!
Nice! Hoping to go this year.

Oh my god Ive only been once but I really want to go back 😭😭😭
Us too! We’ve been a few times and it never gets old! 🤗
Random fun fact: Back in the day, when crashpads weren't really a thing and there therefore was no need to move them, the goal was to climb a full circuit without touching any ground that isn't rock.
That IS a fun fact! Sounds much harder.

I really want to climb outsider again💔

What are you wearing
What problem is in the thumbnail?
It’s a problem to the right of Cannonball at Franchard Isatis. Goes at 6b I think but I can’t remember what it’s called :)
Let's play
