Killing a column does not stop the awakening effect of that colum's commander. At least not in the latest update. So the weakness attack wil continue if that column had Jaime or the healer. I have found that killing an enemy commander is mainly useful if that commander is counter to your troops in which case the enemy's active skill kills are lowered.
If you kill Latz/Drake/Enzo they will also stop to heal, leads to no weakness attacks, not sure if its the same with Jamie, maybe he still adds weakness attacks even if hes out of the battle
Why you did more damage? Each weakness attack add +3 to base damage. More enemies died = less your troops died. Seems combining more synergies is better.
Each Weakness attack adds +3% damage not 3 base attack! thats an importend difference ... but yes thats ofc part of the reason why combineing synergys is good if you dont have to many premium comanders!
