    Another comprehensive video on Selenite, I did learn a lot from it! Many thx! Can u make a video on various kind of Clear Quartz, as there are so many kind of it in the market such as milky, girasol, etc. And also stones such as white calcite which are so similar to Clear Quartz. Love!

      Fiona, Thanks for watching and for the suggestion. I will keep it in mind for a future video. You are right, there are a lot of different types of clear quartz. As for telling it apart from calcite it should be quite easy with a little scratch test. You can try a copper penny or anything harder like a knife blade or a piece of glass. None of those things will scratch quartz. ohiohistorycentral.org/index.php?title=Hardness_of_Minerals&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop

    I did a little research on crystal. I brought a gemstone from a friend of mine and I held it in my hand and meditated. In it I heard a hateful statement made by my friend which was stored in the same voice for 10-15 seconds. It was heard not in the ear but in the mind. This kind of data can inevitably store billions. There is also a store of self-contained knowledge and information. We need to stop taking these thoughts to our subconscious by understanding Vipassana meditation. I like to build friendships with you and share knowledge.

    Help! I recently returned selenite mala beads to the seller on etsy. (Because they seemed too perfect and couldn't be scratched. ) Recently, I ordered a second pair from Amazon. These a very perfect looking too! They have the whole cat eye appearance. They do have some sort of grain like appearance when you squint at them up close, more like satin spar. I can't find anything on the web describing how to know if beads are real. Could they simply be coated? What do you think? Thanks! ((((Update!!!!!! I was so obsessed that I smashed one of the beads with a hammer. And they are totally glass! Glass shards. Glass. Well, what ticks me off is these mala are expensive. And, there's no way to warn people on etsy either, not when youve returned your order....even though the sellers swear that the AAA selenite beads are perfect....despite what you read about how to tell. Meanwhile all these buyers are posting pictures of their expensive mala beads and saying how beautiful they are...and how they experience great energy from them, lol. But, they are likely glass!)))))) If you know a legit source that sells real beads please let me know. Thanks!

    I got a necklace that’s supposed to be selenite and I can scratch it with my nail but it feels cold. I thought it was supposed to be warm? Does this 100% determine that it’s fake

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  3 месяца назад

      Most natural stones will be cool to the touch. They will warm up naturally in your hand after they absorb your body heat. If natural stones are mixed with resins or plastics they may feel warmer from the beginning.

    I just bought a piece of the clear one and it had the properties of selenite but it's actually the glass you use to protect the phone screen. It had rainbow inclusions, smelled like burnt plastic and could be bent while shedding like that glass. And was cold to the touch. Beware out there.

      It is not necessarily fake. Sometimes vendors oil there crystals to make the surface shiny.

    I scratch my heartshaped selenite plate with my nails and it scratched immedietly. Now im torn between being happy because now i know its legit and sad because now it has permanent scratch😂😂 but luckily i did the scratch test on the bottom of the plate 😂
    You think I learned my lesson? I also did it to my selenite bracelet that has almost like catseye effect on it and viola its scratch too😂😂 at first im in doubt of my bracelet because it is not smooth it has this texture that i cant explain and yes it is easily scratched but then i scratched it too now i ended up with a selenite bracelet that has many scratches😂😂 maybe thats the reason why i seldom see it on my go to online shop that is owned by a very friendly chinese lady😊

    • @satincrystals
      @satincrystals  8 месяцев назад +1

      Selenite is notorious for being easily scratched. You’re not alone in having scratched selenite! It would be much more rare to have an unscratched piece, unless it is well coated with resin. Thank you for sharing 😊
