You actually could have get that first barra really easy but you were probably too excited about it as you kept moving the lure pretty fast without letting it work and be eaten.. in fact with the second barra (the first that you caught), you let the lure doing its job and the barra got it straight away. Sometimes it’s about patience and be calm😉
Man I'd love to go fishing with this bloke bet he's full of tips. I'm hooked on the drunken mullets but only got big hits not any catches. Dont have a sounder so it makes it a bit shit haha.. like your vids man keep it up 💪🏻
Hey Bowly. Love the vids mate. Can you give some feedback on the MG trolling motor? Thinking about getting one, but have read and heard some bad reviews, especially with the accuracy of the spot lock. Reports saying the spot lock hunts around, and will not be as precise as the Minn Kota's. Keen to hear your take on it, given the amount of fishing you do. Thank you.
Had mine for about 4 years, very minor gps issue at the start, simple upgrade n she's sweet, 1500 cheaper no complaints. I've heard all the horror stories but I'm about to put a 36v on my 7m boat.
Hey mate, I haven’t had one of the newer model minn kota’s but this Motorguide in comparison to the old minn kotas I had, is that the motorguide is pretty good. Spot lock is pretty good to be honest and it’s much quieter than pretty much any minn Kota I’ve used which is great for this style of fishing as the stealth is important.
Yeah mate, no point mucking around with light leader, you’ll only be losing fish! I’d recommend a minimum of 80lb when you’re after those metre plus fish to avoid being rubbed off. Typically I’ll use 30lb braid (most good quality 30lb’s are very difficult to break on a snag let alone a fish). Rod is usually around that 10-20lb rating with reels sized around 3000-4000 for spin and generally a 200 size for bait casters.
Dangerous time to be a 95mm prawn on a tackle shelf after watching this
Wow. Next level. Very professional.
Great to see both lures in action

@@AlbyDangles Thank you mate, appreciate the feedback.
@@bowlysfishing Thank you mate. There are always 2 sides to the stories. Fish FNQ waters as well and I agree, quiet is an absolute must! Cheers mate!
What depth do you find the Barra generally hold on the weed beds? Quite shalllow?
When you know you’re going to the land of the 90+ Barra do you always rig 100lb+ leader Bowly? And what braid weight + size rod/reel?
…and what knots do you use? Thank you from Florida.

@jawjuh I use an FG knot to connect braid to leader and then typically a loop knot from leader to lure.
@@bowlysfishing sorry to bother you. Which loop knot? FG ids great!
@@jawjuh1005 leftys loop is good mate, that's what i use and i imagine bowly uses the same
Great video 🤩
Great fishing Bowly, what mainline and leader do you use? Thanks, Dwayne.
Typically 30lb braid, 80lb leader. Cheers.
Freaking unreal 👍🇭🇲🇭🇲👍
Frog everyday of the week, or a mouse or rat
Sick video should go back to the dam to give them a go
Can you use these frogs on Rainbow or Brown Trought by any chance?
Maybe on the 40mm versions. I’ve never chased rainbow or brown trout before mate so I’m not 100%.
Thanks. 👍
If the carpet is too hot to go bare feet its too hot to lay fish on. Please place a wet bag on the deck, these fish deserve more respect.
Your not that old
