Wow, I'm 42 and my mom was 17 when she had me so i was fortunate enough to grow up with tff. I played this song on a sony walkman through the mid 90s. Unbelievable how good they still sound. Absolutely timeless and they don't miss a beat. Well done fellas, well done. Thank you for all the great music!
actually no, they don't... One of my ALL TIME favorite bands of the 80's... Unfortunately both Kurt and Roland's voices are trashed.... i've watched many of their live performances from 2015 to present day... Their voices are GONE... If you wanna see artists from that generation that still have their ' golden voices ' , check out Morten Harket from a-Ha... or Mick Hucknall from Simply Red... Here i'll link some videos for you to compare vs. their orignals.. Tears for Fears is, to me, probably one of the best new wave bands. Songs from the Big Chair is such a fantastic album, and I was quite fortunate to grow up with it.
It was really my First album songs from The big chair and its classics such as working hour , mother's talk ,Head over hills and Listen which i listen to These ones so Far. I love tears for fears. They played around Brazil so much but they "ve never been to my state in The northestern .
I didn’t recognize Roland with his grayish/ blonde hair and beard. I am glad that he and Curt are performing together and they still sound like they did in the 1980’s.
It amazes me I've been a fan now entering the 5th decade and I could listen to them every day. I love Tipping Point and so excited to hear hints about more new music. Genius gifting the world.

Look at them! Look at em! 😍 Roland looks like a cool wizard, Curt hasn't aged and their vocals are still on point and the music is still timeless. I cannot wait to see them in August! 💓
I’m excited beyond words because on August 1st I’ll finally get to see this legendary band live for the first time in my life, I’ll probably cry like a baby
Carina Round, an excellent singer/songwriter in her own right, and absolutely electric live. Check her music out. I really wish she'd release another album, it's been too long!
@Pariwager Yes. I saw on facebook a few posts that listed the top 50 songs of, say, 1983, 1984, etc. The list is the dictionary of the best modern music made.
Saw the tour kickoff in Cincinnati. I was about row 12 in the middle section. Unbelievable. If I could've told my 10-y-o self in 1985 that I'd get to share a concert with my teenage son 37 years later I'd have laughed.
I am a forever fan. These guys made the 80's the best part of my life. So many memories of cruising in my MGB with the top down singing Everybody wants to Rule the World! This song never gets old! The guitar and lyrics are forever in my heart!!😊
I watched them at Blossom Music Center, Ohio. I waited 40 years to watch them in person, and good heavens that was one of bests things I have ever experienced. My wife picked the Sound Check package, only about 12 of us got to sit basically in front of them while they sang to prior to the show. They were absolutely relaxed, enjoying the moment, all smiles and good humor. It was mystical. And then Orzabal starts to sing Rivers of Mercy, which my wife correctly defined as a prayer. Five meters from us. Singing from deep within his soul. Indescribable.
Just saw them last night in San Diego. Amazing concert! The crowd really showed their appreciation. The opening band, Garbage, was also brilliant and gave it their all!
A friend of mine at school gave me a tape x listening the LP "song from the.." shout was probably yet famous across the world... But when I listened at "The working hour" I realized that was even better than " mad world or change " 😉 shout rapresents the shout of entire generation
I just seen these guys last night in concert at Pine knob in Clarkston, Michigan. I was in the third row to see them in action. Best show to see from one of my all time favorite bands from my youth and to now. I loved everything about it as well with there newest album The Tipping Point. Tears for Fears always has rocked and always will!!!
Powerful stuff, the lads wrote some amazing tracks back in the day, one of the greatest mainstream acts to come out of the 80's and still sounding immense!!!
They performed the song in a perfect way, as always. A great band. Technically perfect. Once i have read a comment about them which talked about their age: they are just 60!! They can still give us marvellous music and teach us what good music is! I love them
But don’t you think that she occasionally overshadowed the main vocals of the guys? Once in a while she just came through way too strong. It’s all that work she did with Annie Lennox probably.
Brings back memories of seeing them on their first-ever US tour date April 1985 at the Agora Ballroom in West Hartford, CT...Shout had just hit number one on the charts...amazing show then, and great performance now...seems like just yesterday.
Awesome video, I was there last night - the crowd was very lively, into the show throughout even for Garbage. It was actually thundering and raining when Shirley sang Only Happy When It Rains.
I remember how it rained at the 2019 TFF show I was at and the line "And all the love and all the love in the world won't stop the rain from falling" was equally apropos...
Fantastic, timeless classic songs! Roland and Curt still rock my world in a big way. True class! Songs from the Big Chair are what prevail on my song list.
