Zoe, as a pharmacist, I heavily discourage you to keep up with the thought that "if you can't read it, then it's probably an aditive and its better to avoid it" because most vitamins and minerals present in food have their actual names printed on the label, e.g.: Vitamin E is called tocopherol and Vitamin C is Ascorbic Acid. Also, some things have added fiber but say it has "pectin", which is a very healthy kind of fiber. Just do a careful research and you'll find that healthy foods don't always restrict to being fully natural. Love your videos a lot, and have been here since your first one. xoxo

@@jacquelinetorovalenzuela3828 That's very interesting, it is one of the ways a vitamin can present itself in the composition of your product. I used to have a sunblock that had added vitamin D and it said One-alpha-hydroxy-cholecalciferol Lol
Yesssss! As a food technologist, this is such a common misconception made by the public. The chemical names of the various nutrients ( including carbs, lipid and protein), vitamins and mineral listed in the ingredients list may sound intimidating but truthfully by doing some quick research you can find out what they exactly are and include/remove them from your diet to suit you. Additives and colourings which some people avoid are sometimes listed by their chemical names. So to really know what’s going into you body, knowledge and research is key!
I can't remember which source I read this from but there's definitely a few articles researching how ingredients have been listed over the past 50ish years and how that's changed. It's not necessarily that big corps want to trip their consumers but in the past using the actual names vs colloquial names has been more beneficial to the general public. As in, people 20, 30, 40 years ago preferred to see one type of labeling and that made them more likely to buy a product but now in 2020, we like to see the names we can understand rather than the "official" term.

edit; tbh i would love to eat clean like that everyday, tbh but it’s so hard when you live with a family that settles for less. i try to push heathy living on them all the time, it’s really no use, not to mention hella expensive

But thats the thing! He literally just glanced and what helps me is knowing that people aren't going to go home and dwell on seeing someone on their camera in the grocery store. I personally don't vlog or anything but this helps me in my day to day life knowing that people aren't going to go home and literally reflect on something I was embarrassed of for a good 10 seconds. Idk I know no one was asking for my short story on this but just wanted to let someone know 😁

@@reb3380 I didn't know that the prices depend on the city (I'm from Europe btw) because here the prices usually differ from store to store, but any store (regardless of the city) has the same prices
