Those are really nice images you’ve taken on your new camera :-) So good you found a lighter camera to use that’ll be kinder to your back Simon. The Fuji will be nice for getting outside and exploring, less bulky. Great choice! Enjoy getting your pictures and travel safely 😊
Thanks so much! I’m really enjoying the camera. It’s great to have something smaller and lighter that’s also not seen as something so eye catching to passers by. I think the camera looks great personally, dare I say it… looks like a of film camera lol
@@SimonPhillipsPhoto So good, enjoy getting out. It’s really freeing to not have a bulky setup and gives you lots of creative choices. More people friendly! The retro look is really cool too:-)
That's a really good score. I think the XT3 is such a great underrated camera. It's got really good weather ceiling and better build quality as well from memory. I think the XT3 was still made in Japan but I could be wrong on that and I think that's one of the reasons why that particular model is still very sought afterI think the shutter account is interesting. I think there's a lot of people that buy cameras and then don't use them or are not prepared to spend the time to learn Photography and they end up secondhand that looks like a nice woodshed area. It kinda reminds me a little bit of wallpole. Safe travels, mate
It really is a fantastic camera! I wasn’t to sure as some people bash it but from my experiences with it so far I’m wondering why people are even selling them. When paired with some nice glass if really performs incredibly well. I think you might have hit the nail on the head with that one, it really is odd. It’s not like it’s a Leica or a medium format camera, it can keep up really well with most systems out there. I think mine was made in Japan.
Nice Pictures! Fujifilm is making good and nice Cameras. I’m just a hobbyist and stay with my Nikon system. All newer Kamera are giving you great results. Actually I use a Nikon Z6II. My next camera is going to be the Nikon Z8. Better AF (wildlife) and 45MP. THANKS for taking us with you.
They really do make nice cameras! Just a shame the glass doesn’t perform as well, some of the glass is really nice but that seems to be within the primes, I’m not sure how they have engineered the optics for the zooms. You’ll love the Z8 I’m sure! Just remember to use the best glass with it so the glass doesn’t rob you of resolution 🙂
The x-t3 3 biggest issues 1 the auto focus cant pick a target and is always hunting, you can see it in this whole video, it somehow doesnt realize the massive target in the center is the subject. 2 no ibis but if you get a lens with a decent ois its not bad but it does limit your creativity for video 3 the battery life is actually dismal i swear it doesnt last 20 minutes, and i basically use an external usb-c battery pack all the time to get any useable time out of it, unfortunately that ties up the only usb-c port Other then that the specs on this camera are fantastic. I just wish fuji would improve the autofocus with a firmware update, however it is a bit of an old camera so i understand why they aren't really doing any firmware updates anymore. Also im not sure if this is a prevalent issue but my canera occasionally glitches or if i leave it on the shelf uncharged for a bit too long it resets all my settings which takes 20-30 minutes to figure out how i previous had them, but you can save all your canera settings to your phone through the fuji-x app highly recommend doing that as you will save yourself quite the headache and eat up a whole battery just trying to get it back to where it was.
Actually the camera seems to have improved since the time you owned one, there’s been lots of firmware updates on the camera and it performs extremely well. The battery life is a little bit if a pain, I’m carrying 2 on me currently but I do carry a power bank in my bag which allows me to top up the battery by the usbc port when I’m not using it. No ibis is just one less thing to worry about, I picked myself up a second 16-80 and shot some slow hand held stuff and that was impressive. Most of my shooting is done on a tripod anyway so it’s not a deal breaker for me. The last one about the battery discharging itself is pretty normal over a few weeks, for it to erase all your settings is an odd one. Ps the video I used my DJI pocket 2 camera which does hunt at times. I shot some video recently on the XT3 and it done a great job with the face tracking for video now.
@SimonPhillipsPhoto I still have the xt3 and just purchased a second hand 18-55mm 2.4 ois fujinon lens. My lens I've been using up to this point has been a 12mm tamron, but I've recently read that fujis autofocus seems to function much better with fuji lens compared to other manufacturers. I have yet to test this as the lens just arrived yesterday. I've also messed around with this lens a tiny bit and the ois on this lens seems to be the spice the x-t3 lacks I love most of the setting and features, at times it would be nice if they were a little more extensive but they are good for the most part. I especially love the dials on top specific the exposure compensator and the iso and it make quick adjustments delightful. But the bad AWB is very annoying because 99% of the time with every other camera I've always been safe to just leave it on auto, but this camera it gets it perfect but a small change of scene and it can go wildly off but only 10-20% of the time makeing it just bad enough to be unusable for video
Thanks. I had some audio issues with this one being around the water my levels where clipping in areas so I done my best to make it better. The pocket 2 and the wireless mic is good most of the time but not in some cases.

Remember you can never have too many cameras :-p 😊Live your best life! :-)
Oh I knew there’s a reason why I keep you around 😉 now what should I get next if I can’t have to many cameras lol
