    Those are some massive Giant Clams.
    They're called FAISUA in Samoa. Some of the best rare eatings the deep sea provides. When properly regulated they can sustain you for years. Please fish responsibly. Love the video boys.

      @@Samizouza In Tonga its "Vasuva" amazing how similar the words sound. Goes to show how connected the Islands are in culture and genetics.

    Oh we call those Vasu as well in our local dialect of Namakura here in Vanuatu.

    • @Samizouza
      @Samizouza Год назад

      In Fijian, "Vasu" is reference to your maternal links or your mother's side of the family.
      But yeah, very identical to the Fijian word "Vasua" for giant clams 😋

    • @lanietuimabu428

      You’ll have that problem if you’re setting on the reefs. If you’re setting on some sandy clear areas, you’ll be alright. 🤙🤙 Best if you’re out at high tide trolling.

    All undersize fish which is a reflection of the breakdown of Fijian traditions and culture in this village. Uraia is a foreigner who does not understand what a real Fijian village should be. One thing he has done in terms of videoing his village is that there is no strict chiefly order and hence slum like conditions. Dou vosota o kemudou na cauravou but your portrayal of your village is absolutely disgusting and not what the real Vanua is like.
