How many people can hear Warrel Dane singing over this? Killer playing. RIP Warrel.
I was about to comment I was waiting to hear Warrel start singing!
I wish Nevermore didn't breakup.
We miss Nevermore! I missed their last live in my country and I still regret it!
This song is GREAT the way it is, doesn't need any vocals.
He ascended to his inevitable destiny.
Now Jackson just needs to put this monster into production.
Next year?
I already have his customs Kelly now I need this one in the collection
i guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online?
@Crew Nash Meh lately I've been using flixportal. You can find it thru google :P -darian
@Darian Cesar thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :D I appreciate it!
I understand that Jeff enjoys playing in a successful band and having some kind of financial safety, but damn I wish he had more opportunities to show his chops. The riffs in this video alone have more intensity and creativity than the last two Arch Enemy albums together.
Thats absolutely true!! Loomis riffs in his albums kills every arch enemy riff. And about his solos we dont need to talk....
@@killahtomata Wish Alyssa and him would do their own thing on the side.
Just sucks Michael doesn't have jeff write any music for arch enemy
@@metalhead41294 lol yeah. Since Jeff is an amazing riff maker too and not just a soloist.
@@MaestroJericho yeah, I remember I was excited cuz I was never really into Arch enemy and Jeff being in the band I was thinking oh shit he’d write some dope riffs but no -__- Michael has an ego I guess. I saw in an interview where he was like “I’ve always written the songs”
Can Loomis just get his own band again?
I produced, edited and mixed all of Loomis’s videos at EMGtv he is the man, he is the monster, he is the best!
Thank you for that, Cairo! Been rewatching those videos countless times over the years :)
@@Metalton95
Awesome! As I mentioned to double beats... I have lots of stories as I am the EMGtv studio designer and shot, edited and mixed every video for that 10 year period until that studio closed in 2017. Lots of unseen footage too! Thanks Man! Jeff Brockman
Why did they decided to closed down the studio? Most of views came from studio era, even i started to listen to JL after watched him shred in Jato Unit video back then
Oh, EMGtv was so cool, so many guitar gods were featured there, i remember how many times i watched the Andy James sessions, it was amazing
amazing work dude
This guy is going to be 50 this year. Yet he just keeps getting better. His rhythm playing especially!
holy crap I just turned 50
@@kevinpatrickcarey3741, how does it feel being OLD?!?!?!
@@kevinpatrickcarey3741 50 yrs young
I remember when I was 50!
Yep, those were the days!
Less daily pain, more hair!
I keep forgetting hes getting up there. The _only_ reason he looks older than he used to is because he decided to grow facial hair lol Its to mask his immorality!
JST out here reminding us that we all still suck at guitar
You mean JL...?
I would love to like this comment but its at 69 and i cant
@@Struud nice
@@Struud also rip its at 70
speak for yourself...
A Traditional Jackson Headstock on a 7 again?! 2021 ain't so bad.
Better than EVERY OTHER Ibanez model released this year
Jeff is insanely good.
Your telling me lol
You know what that 7 string means , right? Conquering Dystopia II
Or a third solo!
Why not both?
@@ciniclay Well, even if that is the case, there’s a thing called hype. Which is always easier under scarcity, hence, one at a time with a certain period in between would make much more sense.
Conquering Dystopia...Again
I heard Keith say that there will be another Conquering Dystopia album or EP.
Best looking 7 string I have ever seen.
I don't even play 7 strings and I want it.
That neck radius though.
Btw, How did he not get hired by megadeth?
Its sexy...i wonder if u can get it with a reverse head stock
@@toms3158 only because he was too young.
@@erickmazur807 Nope Mustaine actually offered him a job shortly after Warrel Dane died but he was already working on his second solo album and accompanying tour, so JL turned him down.
I can't believe I'm stating this again, but dude, I can't wait for him to release a new solo album... Everything he does is just incredible
Bad ass as usual. makes me realize just how much I miss Nevermore :(
Same here.
Faaaak!!!..... The only guitarist who's rhythms are just as badass as his solos!!!..... That guitar is so freakin awesome!!!...
...🤘🔥🤘...
Jeff Loomis and Marty Friedman need to hang out
Well, they already did, before Marty joined Megadeth after Jeff's recommendation :P
@@Metalton95
Imagine Jason Becker too
@@norpriest521 Thats was be haven ....and...hell...in sametime...
@@Metalton95 when i first read this a few years back
I was genuinely mind fucked
They did some work together on the Lost Symphony album "Chapter II". Theres also a 40 minute interview with the two of them and Michael Amott from a few years back.
I miss this guy. Nice to see him back.
*Killer performance as always*
3:02 mah gawd look at the precise right hand motions. Hard stops to every pick point multiple times a second. Right forearm cybernetics FTW
This is the first Jeff Loomis Vid that I've rewatched many times over, ever since him and Keith Merrow were doing stuff. Sounds phenomenal.
Jeff Loomis needs to be quarantined longer.
Haha, "for the sake of the metal/guitar community, please do continue making more facemelting content" :D
The riff at 03:25 is sick as fuuuuuck!
Jeff is too good for Arch Enemy.
Couldn't agree more
Nevermore never die!
Maybe so but he’s also found the success he deserves and in the process making arch enemy kickass.
@@GuiTarIdIoT07 fair point
The pop band effect
Jeff Loomis made a mistake once. He didn’t care for it. He then decided he will never make another one.
If Jeff made a mistake, it would still be the greatest Arch Enemy song ever written..
Jeff deserves so much more than being an hired gun in Arch Enemy.... where he displays something like 0,000001 % (approximately) of his true potential. Plus, he's not allowed to write anything for them (so we've got the same old song again and again and again and again) and doesn't even play rhythm guitar on their last album. Anyway, gonna buy his killer plugin right away (started with the Disruptor from Dino Cazares a few days ago, and that's a killer too !).
Your licks are always dramatic i love it
This makes me asks questions like:
"How" and "..... How"?
I just got Toneforge and it's incredible right out of the box! Jeff makes it sound amazing, which is expected.
I feel exactly as speechless as when I discovered Jeff as a young teenager, when I thought power chords in drop D were basically the pinnacle of guitar. Like 17 years on, with 17 years more experience he still is giving me that exact same slap in the face. What a god
This godless endeavour was an incredible step forward for Nevermore to me, like Painkiller was for Judas Priest. I love The Obsidian Conspiracy too, more to the point, more “pop”-like structures, catchy riffs.
What a tone! WOW! Jeff is the master!
I hear so much of Jason Becker in his playing but modernized and with this tone it sounds so right for our time
No matter how good the plugin is, it boils down to the player. Dammmmn so good.
1:23 The smirk on his face, throwing his head back. Thats the look of God knowing hes done something great.
Loved the clean section. Made me think of the Marty Friedman solo albums. The song absolutely slaps.
It’s the “Winds Of Change” vocal melody by the Scorpions
That slide-in riff is one of the most crushing riffs I have heard in a while. Love everything he does.
My neck and eyes are so sore now 😑.. i love Jeff❤️❤️❤️❤️
We are waiting your new album Jeff! Business is necessary for survival, but do not forget to explore new guitar horizons!
Jeff is the only prodigy that has only gotten better as time goes on playing and improvisation still amazing playing hasn’t fallen off like 99% of famous guitar players ( except Paul Gilbert )
Such an Inspiration Jeff thanks!!!!!
This is so cool even the cameraman is headbanging!!
Next Jeff Loomis model from Jackson !!!! I accept, but I agree 7 string Kelly with a 25.5" scale would be wicked awesome !!!!!
Wish Loomis or Brandon Ellis would get Marty Friedman to mess with their Kelly sigs, damn only if Namm happened live.
Kelly's suck
1:42 really love the switch into THAT awesome clean tone!
I'll be looking more into the plugin, so grateful for this instrumental and the "mixing of" video, so far!!!
Most Excellent!
That looks suspiciously like a 7 string soloist version of the Loomis siggie. . . Also, this plugin is sick. I’m hoping to get a demo video up in the next day or two.
check out Ola Englund he has a demo of it :)
@@OscarWithC he does not have a demo of that guitar, shut your mouth! 😂
@@buhimoth no but the plugin ;)
@@OscarWithC well yeah, I watched Ola’s video first, bought the plugin, then watched this video lol
Yes I’m trying to find this guitar, any word on it?
Listening to this song reminds me that it's time for new Jeff Loomis solo album. Missing it so much.🤘😎🤘
I love everything about this song! I've been listening to it ever since ya'll put it up on RUclips. This video was the reason I finally bought a 7 string. I love this song so much that I started learning how to play it. I would love to see Jeff put out a break down video of this song. This song could easily be an hour or 2 instructional with all of the techniques he is throwing at us.
Many shredder play fast with gentle touch on the strings, Jeff is so unique that you can feel the finger tip punch the string while playing lighting fast, such a one of the kind.
Well said🤘
In addition to the plugin sounding amazing, Loomis yet again puts together just the tastiest jams with these seemingly timeless riffs. The composition alone is enough to get the blood flowing. At least for me. In the sea amongst the myriad of whomevers, Loomis continues to forge not only great sounds but excellent entertainment for the senses as well.. Bravo!
He is so awesome , that even the camera is headbanging!!!!!
The riff at 3:00 and then the next one at 3:25 is pure heaven
I'm blown away! It's been a while since I heard you or nevermore, it's like reliving it all over. Awesome! Rock on! Around 0:37 is just eargasm already
Jeff Loomis is such a monster. Hands down and such a scary player. Hail to JL 🎸❤️🤘🏻
Jeff emanates the joy of making music in very video. Inspiring
Loved his playing since Nevermore. I was already a fan of Warrel Dane since sanctuary. Nevermore was amazing.
May Arch Enemy let loose the Loomis on the next Arch Enemy album. The incredible harmonizing these two could do...
Back in the day when I played in a band called destitute from Minneapolis Minnesota we went down to Iowa to play a show with Nevermore. It was in a roller rink and it was super fun! Then several months later they came up here and played in Minneapolis at a club and I got Dane high before the show. Good times!
@@sennstrato7281 Thats amazing. They opened for In Flames in Houston in 2000 and blew head clean off. They broke up right before they came back to Houston in 2012. He sounded great when Sanctuary reunited. He will be missed.
Nevermore was one of the greatest bands ever
@@ElijahMendiola I still want to weep at the thought of This Godless Endeavor being overshadowed by Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Killswitch, Bullet For My Valentine and whatever other band rose to fame around 2005. They deserved so much more. Seriously, they were at least as groovy and heavy as the others, while ALSO being more accessible (Dane's clean vocals), melodic, and those lead guitars...
I never got to see them live (became a fan in 2009/10) :(
Rest in peace, Warrell, Tim and Nevermore.
so good, I can't wait to hear your next creations with ToneForge, cause it's just you've got an incredible sound.
Sounds amazing! And of course, Jeff's playing is unmatched as usual!
Jeff never disappoints. His playing is never less than phenomenal.
Indeed! Too bad he can't even write his songs without producer's help.
I just bought this and I’m blown away! Thanks everyone who made this . I don’t think I’ll ever use my amp again . All the tones are badass and I can tweak them like real gear to make it my own sound
More evidence as to why Jeff Loomis is my favorite guitar player in the world.
X2
Absolutely one of my favorite guitarist as far metal goes. So melodic & brutal at the same time
Is there a way to download or buy this track? This sounds so sick!
Ahhh man..., i miss this Jeff! Awesome \,,,/ Hail King Jeff.
It so good to listen to this guy play good music again!
Ok, kinda odd, but... will you be uploading this to Spotify?
I've re-listened to it 30+ times, and I want it in my "Jeff Loomis is God" playlist, next to his solo project and Conquering Dystopia, haha
1:42 and 2:12 is absolutely majestic, and a wonderful contrast to the SUPER tight Loomis riffs before and after :)
1:42 is very Loomis-Becker 👍 beautiful. If he composes this as an exercise to show the plugin capabilities… man 😂 Some bands should be crying 😅
Exactly
Jeff Loomis should be a household name. Fickin amazing my friend. Keep doing amazing videos! Between you and Ola I can't get enough \m/
I'm from a different rock era..this is unbelievable playing from Jeff..I would love to hear Jeff play a Gary Moore style solo just to hear his emotional side!
Look into some of the stuff he played during the later era of Nevermore, and his second solo album. The guy is no joke when it comes to phrasing and vibrato.
@@jbaker134 Thanks..I will 🤘
@@dannymcmince Check out "The Heart Collector", "Your Poison Throne" & "The Blue Marble and the New Soul" by Nevermore!
@@Metalton95 I sure will.. thanks 🤘
@@dannymcmince hey I got your back bro, Chosen Time and Continium Drift by Jeff Loomis himself and Lachrymose by Conquering Dystopia... You wont believe what you hear, I promise.
Killer job with the Toneforge Jeff Loomis. Sounds absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a metal amp sim (that is extremely versatile) for a killer price with that intro deal! Love it JST, keep up the great work guys!✌✌
The main reason i ever picked up a 7! Jeez what a soul to his playing!
The 7 string Kelly? 🥺
I feel like a 7 string kelly would be super uncomfortable to play
Dinky 7 strings Is better
@@finnancahill2644 wouldn't it have massive neck dive unless you made the body really heavy
@@MaestroJericho a seven string in general or a 7 string kelly?
Bros we just need the 7 string Kelly…shit will look brutal…maybe with the 3+3 headstock to solve the weight thing, just like grabbing the Juggernaut’s neck and sticking it into a Kelly’s body 🫡
How I miss these sick riffs and tone!
this song has a really awesome mix... a bit of 80 and 90 style, also a bit of piazzolla and of course the grate magnificent metal loomis power, thank you mate
I never played so many Notes with Right Timing and Feeling in my entire Life as in That Song !!! What a Monster.. And What a Sound...😳😳😳
God damn i miss those days where jeff wasnt playing generic melodeath with AE.
Dudes still got it of course
I hope we'll at least get a 3rd solo album, or a follow-up to Conquering Dystopia..
Arch Enemy is the only band I outright hate, for "keeping my favourite guitarist prisoner".
At least he get his wages, but let the man write some riffs and songs, Amott!!!
@The Bored AF Guitarist i would like to hear the result..but it wont happen since chris is playing for dark tranquility
Tis the tragic reality of commercial music. Solo records aren't much of a paycheque.
Just heard 'still loving you' of Scorpion in this with a twist! Jeff Loomis is a kickass musician!
Jeff is a f...ing guitar monster. I love his music and poetry
Jeff is such a beast. Always a pleasure watching him play
i hope this one will be on your next solo album. awesome as always.
Pure torture for the guitar neck - both riffs and solos ) Like it!
Loomis still slaying 🤘🤘 sounds amazing...loving some of those riffs CRUNCH
just bought mine! love it! very user friendly and a hell of a deal if you buy it before this saturday! well worth the money
THE BLONDE FLAMETHROWER
Love the plugin, insanely great! And this song....Loomis just amazing!
That’s definitely his 2021 Jackson signature 7 sick stuff
Did his best shit with LTD 7
We need loomis back in the game of 7's. i like that he is in arch enemy happy but man we need more nevermore type of content these days like this video amazing btw
Jeff has it all. Some guitarists are amazing riff writers and players, some are born to solo, others need a band to compliment their talents or bounce off.....not this guy. Jeff writes insane riffs, be it tough, aggressive and brutal or mellow, then his solo's....total wizardry when needed, but also able to evoke beauty and harmony. The guys an incredibly talented person, I miss Nevermore, they were amazing. And sure, Arch Enemy are great, but its Michael Amotts baby, Jeff only uses half of his ability there. I know Warrel Dane can not be replaced nor replicated as he was unique and exceptional but I think if the right guy was found, Nevermore could conquer once again. Enough babbling from me, long story short, Jeff, Warrel, Nevermore rule R.i.p Warrel 🤘🤘
Jeff loomis doing a demo is redundant. He can play through a potato and make it sound good. Sounds incredible!
Absolutely!!!... 🤘
... I was going to say the same thing!!!... 🤘
On Fire Jeff, you SHRED !!!
The lead sound on this is so good. I could listen to another Jeff Loomis instrumental album just using this plugin.
Jeff Loomis is so god damn amazing!!! Please never stop giving the gift!!!!
I'm glad Jeff is the nicest guy ever
dang.
Can you imagine how much this dood has practiced over the years?
Excellent tune and execution, Sir
I LOVE the fact you can hear his Becker, Friedman influences
This song is so damn amazing, Jeff Loomis is one of the best guitarists in the world. I've been a fan of his playing since I first heard Nevermore's Dead Heart In A Dead World album. When I seen this video show up in my feed it's the first time in my life I purchased a guitar amp plugin. It's insane what you can do with this, I haven't used my Mesa since I got this plugin.
AWESOME... I want this Guitar:O
Dammm...cool sound!!new 7 string sig?🤔🤘😊
Watching Jeff playing the guitar reminds me of the way Eloy plays drums. He's such a savage! He's incredibly talented yes, but to me what stands out the most is how ferocious he sounds and looks while playing.
Purchased earlier. I immediately thought it sounded great, now I realize it is phenomenal, and I can strive to be mediocre🤘
what a killer song and tone!
Favourite guitarist hands down
Loomis is the Best guitaris Who have the brilliance composition of Riffs and Licks
This Jackson looks sick!
Jeff is an amazing guitarist!
I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks and a home studio newb 4 months in from knowing nothing of a DAW. I love my amp and 4x12 cab but with this "pandemic" my brother and his wife moved out to the acerage, he works nights and the old 4x12 would rock his world wide awake at 50 ft away lol. so at his crucial time for me while inspiration is flowing I need to be playing while he is sleeping. I can see how a good plugin would increase my workflow by hundreds of percents so I will try this out for free and scoop it right up if I dig it. I appreciate the free trial thank you \m/
That Jackson 7 is sick!
