      Do you find that your 18mm on an APS-C wide angle shot is good enough? Im considering a Sony A6500/6400 with 16-105 f.4 OSS but there is also a nice 10-18mm wide-angle

    • @sandro6691
      @sandro6691 4 года назад +1

      @@robbyllewellyn
      I have the Sony A6500 and the 18-105 f4 lens. This is an excellent lens but not in low light and not for real estate as it's a 27-157mm f6 full frame equivalent. It really shines in well lit video, especially outdoors and gimbal shooting.
      I also have the sigma 16mm f1.4 (24mm f2.1 full frame equivalent) on a a6500, which is ok for real estate. The low light capability is excellent but it would be much better if it was wider. An alternative, if you have an a6500 is to get the viltrox speed booster and get a 16mm canon f2.8 lens. This will give you that 16mm wide angle and a lot more light gathering for much less cost. I think Parker is on the money though and the Canon are the way to go at the moment. Their dual pixel auto-focus and lens selection is amazing. Sony lenses are super expensive for the same thing.

    Love the in-depth tutorial man. Much appreciated. What are your thoughts on taking a small commission when the house sells, so that the Realtor doesn't have to pay you up-front? Say a Realtor makes $50,000 on the sale of a home, and you agree to receive 5% if the home sells. It's risky, since some homes can take awhile to sell, but instead of making $500, you might earn $2,500. Obviously, you'd have to have a comprehensive production agreement/contract to make sure everyone gets paid, and it's definitely a trust-based transaction for the most part. What are your thoughts on that?

    So helpful man... You are the best I watch so many videos every day. Here's an problem I'm facing when I shoot apartments. When it comes to photos, I do pretty good and I don't have any real issues. When I switch to video, things change A LOT. I have the Sony A6400 with the sigma 16mm f/1.4
    No gimbal, no ND filters for this lens. I shoot at 60 fps at 1080p and the quality is okay. I want more but if I shoot 4k at 24fps and with no gimbal it would be very unstable. That's it because the guy I'm working with asks for a one-take video which is pretty hard for me with no gimbal and the different exposures I have to deal with. I set my camera on auto focus but sometimes there are subjects in the foreground and I'm losing the background image because it might focuses on a plant for example. When I stabilize that footage in post, I get this over stabilization and it messes up my frames..... I also have a huge problem with flickering. In the free version of davinci, I cannot deflicker the footage. Also, when I shoot the bathroom, I can't deal with it because sometimes there's no window in the bathroom, only the lamp as a light source. In the end, the footage looks so bad to me.

    If I can add one more tip, Watch for your reflections. try not to get yourself in any shot's via a reflective object or mirror's on the walls. Eg. @12:01 where you have a wall hanging mirror pointing to a door you have to enter, put something behind the one side of the mirror to slightly tilt it enough so that the reflections does not directly reflect back to you; yet not enough to notice that the mirror is tilted (the Harry potter glasses trick)

    How do you charge? By selling price of the house? By square footage of the house?

    Parker, man I had no idea you were connected to Utah Aerial Imaging. I subscribed to that channel years back and never made the connection between your channel and that one. Sick videos, I get a lot of inspiration off of them, unfortunately I never get the opportunity to put in the hrs on these shoots as the properties I shoot are all sub $1mil, often times as low as $300k so my pricing naturally is lower since agent's commission is lower. I really appreciate all your tips and tricks. Your work is truly brilliant. My business revolves around photography but more and more agents are opting for video work so I get a few video gigs here and there. So many budget jobs though that cause me to do only exterior video, then throw in picture pans for the interior :( not ideal but time is money and when agents are not able to pay, its the only alternative I can think of. Thanks again,

    I hope you hit a couple million in the near future. Been subbed to your channel for a while now and the quality content is amazing. Your information has helped me tremendously in my film making. Thanks bro!
