Best study I've seen on coin errors. I have a 1971 coin that is missing the bridge of the nose and many other double strike errors on the front as well as it being minted off center on the front and the back also has a majority of the errors that she pointed out on the 1971 Kennedy half dollar D
Good video. good info and straight to the point. No un necessary gabbing like some other people and no AI voice stuff. You just showed me something I never realized or even knew about. I don't think I've heard anybody else talk about it either. I know it's not a known error for the year of Kennedy I'm talking about but I'm sure I had 1 like it. I'm not going to point it out because u didn't show the year but I soooo wish I would have known about it before my cousins friend offered me $450 for a 1971-D, 1972-D, 1973-D and 1974-D, I had. Mainly the 72-D & 74-D. I would have had it authenticated. 72-D was that DDR u mentioned but not the best condition. the 74-D, it was practically mint. My cousin told me someone stole them or something like that 😮 I would not want to be the person caught with those. that dude, he is a different type of person. He make me nervous. I know it's not funny but atleast I made some $$ selling then. High 5 for each coin I sold 🙌🙌🙌 🙌

Hey. Around 5:59 and 6:03 it looks like. I can see some vuage lines just above and just below the FG leg. Anybody else see them? I'm sure i see them. I rewatched and paused 3 times now. They look like and are spaced about the same size as the shield.
Thank you I will look into that. I appreciate all your comments. It makes me happy that people like and enjoy my videos. Makes it worth my time to help people out with coin information. Thanks again.
Thank you Linda, enjoyed this video. Definitely thorough !! Thank you. Question, if your 1971 coin does not have the mint mark, does that affect the value?
I would say you might have an error coin. You had some good luck. It's totally cool. Keep that one. Look on Ebay and see others have the same error coin, and you might get an idea of what they are selling for. Good luck in your treasure hunting!!
Value is always what someone is willing to pay for something. Many collectors will want to have machine doubling in their collections, so you never know.
Well, you can collect them, have them graded or sell them. Maybe even do some coin trading. They are fun to find and collect. Good luck with your treasure hunting. Thank you so glad you like my videos and you have subbed. Thanks again. Cheers!!
I have the 71 that has the obvious doubling on the back but the word trust looks like there was another word behind it , you can see it behind the s and the r the most
I'm using a handheld microscope. They have many different brand ones that work the same. You can order on Amazon or Ebay. I hook my microscope up to my computer, so I view it on my monitor. I hope this was helpful. Thanks for viewing my channel.
I have seven 1971 D Ike dollars. One of them is in good condition and don’t know what it would be grade at ? It is missing the letter I in front of the N (IN GOD WE TRUST). Are you aware of this error or is anyone else ?
I would like to see that coin to give you my opinion. Very interesting. Might be a good error coin. I'm not sure if that is a known error. You should check ebay for other possible error coins like yours. Good luck.
I just got a half box of half dollars. There has to be at least 5 rolls of 71 mixed in. Some in really good shape. So far 10 missing F in the FG. And lots of doubling !!! I'm thinking I may have gotten part of someone's collection.. silvers too!! 1 68 silver proof !!! 😳
I have a 1971 with multiple layers double strikes Bridge of the nose missing front and back double strike airs off-center very good condition love to get your opinion @@CopperheadCollectibles
Hello there I have a 1971 half dollar. The "WORD" STATE OF AMERICA & DOLLAR is double die.i use a magnifying glass to see that error. Is there a value on my 1971 half dollar?
I would look on Ebay for other half dollars with that error and see how much they are worth. You can also have it graded by a coin expert. Good find. Good luck
Hi I have 2 half dollar coins, the way I acquired them makes me think that they may be worth something. Is there any chance I could send you any photos? Or abit more of an evaluation. Thanks for your time
Sure. I can take a look at them for you. Try and take pics that are clear so I can zoom in on them. I will tell you what I think. The condition is key to value.
I have to say this. The way you say to look at the whole coin and not just points and to move it around in different lights or something. That's what my fiends cousin said. He actually grabbed 2 lamps he said had different light or something. I didn't think it did anything but he said those types of things can make noticable difference to see stuff and get a better judge of the coin. Or something. But to hear u say the same things makes me think eventhough I have been collecting for many years, I'm not on his level. that dude has been into this for less than 1 year. He stated after he got over his grand parents passing or something. Says he figures stuff out himself. I'm shocked rt now that he said the same thing u did. Maybe he watched this video and give the credit to himself, lmao 😂😂
When I look at coins I do move them around so I can see all of the different points and angles. Sometimes you will see something you didn't at a different lighting. So I agree with your cousin. Maybe he did watch my videos, I do say that in most of my videos. I appreciate your comment and watching my videos. Good luck in your searches.
I really dont understand why doubling is so sought after. The errors are so small it just really doesn't seem like a big deal. Could you explain a bit better?
This person is misinformed. Pointing out multiple machine doubling areas on the reverse as an “error” when in fact this is referred to as damage to the coin. Besides time wasted, this person’s going to be wasting a good amount of money sending coins off to get graded.
You should weigh the 1971-D if it weighs 11.5 grams the you have a 40% Silver planchet coin. Keep it if you do. Nothing exciting about the 1980. Also, look at reverse side of 1971-D for misaligned die. Good luck...
Sorry for the language barrier but another wonderful viewer let me know what you are asking. You want to know what the value of the coin is. As a general rule, coin value is in the grading and the condition of the coin. Error coins have a added value in the market place. I don't sell my coins or treasures. This coin with these type of errors would probably give me a pretty good value. Ebay is a wonderful source for values and what people are selling and buying coins for. Good luck your searches and I appreciate the comment/question. Thank you!
