Update* spoke with framechasers and 8000 stable isn't attainble for anyone buying this with XMP in mind. 7600MHZ Stable however seems to be his conclusion on stability (which is still better than boards that cost even twice as much, so overall still a great board).

Asrock has been doing a great job at putting out great, and reliable boards for quite some time. Chip makers keep cranking up the power usage, only to toss the ball to the board companies. "Just do it". Great vid, I always enjoy the audio testing you do.

Just got the ASRock B760M PG Lightning WiFi DDR5 and it is doing great. Great featureset including DDR5, PCIe 5.0, WiFi 6E, 3x M.2 and an adequate VRM. For 135€ in Germany it is a great price. Swapped it out because my MSI B760M Mortar WiFi DDR5 was having Memory Speed issues and I was not statisfyed with 2x M.2. MSI costs 200€, ASRock 135... Definitely Recommended!

I honestly think that the 14700K was the sweet spot for the highest end Intel cpu. Its less pwr and heat than the 13900K and it performs very much on par w/ it and its about $140 cheaper. The 14900K is the red line cpu that if you are not doing a custom loop makes little to no sense and even then one could argue.

    • @hiriotapa1983

Sounds like 11th gen, where 11700K was the sweet spot as well, don't you think? Way cheaper than 11900K and marginally slower, better thermals and power consumption.

I've been on asrock z790 riptide pg for over 6 months, running with 13600kf and corsair 7000 cl34 ram. What got me to settle on this mobo was 5 nvme slots. I'm not a person who upgrades every year and considering nvme is future of storage this was no brainier. On top of that most recent bios update allowed me to get my memory timings much lower than xmp had to offer and its simply stable with super snappy feel. I can't recommend asrock enough. Ever since asrock z68 pro3 in 2011 this has been nothing less but a solid choice.

Ah cool, Let's see I did BIOS update my 12th gen boards for 14th but these would be nice for a new build. Have the Z690 Asus TUF Gaming Wifi x 2 builds and a B760M. I like the magnetic m.2, have a screw included one on the Z690 boards while not essential, it's one less screw to reach for. 14700K looks nice for the latest batch, maybe 13th goes more on sale too. Have 12700KF and 12900KF in my rigs (have a 12400F for the mother). QVL DDR5 seems to work but only things I've had to change around over time.

@@techyescity higher price is just usual in my country due to import, tax, and whatnot. 4060 is $350 here, and only one model of RX 7600 is actually priced at $270, others more like $300-320. But Z790 is extreme case, even more extreme in this PG Nova case. Its even has higher price that Aoruse Elite X Wifi that is originally $300. I havent asked any of them but since all retailer have relatively same price, i assume the distributor only import small chunks so the margin can not be filled with quantity which in turn there is "limited stock" price adding up too.
