    Drove the same Van and was Impressed - the V 6 Diesel ( 4 X 4 ) was too noisy and I didn't notice any significant advantage, but noticed the 3 inch increase in height - step up into the cab. They put the cab/cargo divider in, and I didn't need it. I might tow a small trailer or put a hitch on the back for a bike, but a garage would be safer. Use to drink lots of beer - don't now - Love the Tap!
    Like 4 X 4 - $$$. Thanks for quick Review.

      My wife wanted us to trailer the bikes and make more room in the Sprinter, but I agree with you that the garage is better since toys are out of sight out if mind. 👍🍻

    I just bought a 2020 170" Sprinter Gas Engine non extended cargo . I've only had it for one month so only have 1800 miles on it but I get 20-21 miles per gallon when there is no wind but 16-18 when there has been winds. This spring there has been some really windy days and that crosswind assist is kind of annoying but I really love the van and would buy the same thing again.

      I’m about to launch a YT video on a product (sumo springs) that seam to cut down on the amount of times the Crosswind Assist kicks in.

    The company I work for bought 2 sprinters bc they were anted the logo. I got lucky and got the taller one with more cargo room and the i4 turbo gas motor. Slow on takeoff but once you get to 2/3 gear it moves ok for what it is. Plus I can fit ALL of my tools plus material in this thing. I’m happy with it considering I was in a 6l v8 gmc van before this. My buddy/coworker wanted the diesel one which was shorter/smaller as well. His is noisy and doesn’t have the space mine does. Plus the cost difference in fuel is substantial: gas mileage in this van is actually damn good in comparison as well

    I just got mine from Walter’s Riverside from Simon(Esy) #1 sale person with no problem, I first went to West Covina Mercedez dealership (not a Sprinters Van dealership) when I got there price was raised 5k more from msrp price. I said okay let’s do it! After taking all my info and price took my insurance card and ready to take home… all of the sudden another buyer walk in and offer 2k more what I’m paying and Manager walk out and ask me for more down payment which I didn’t have yet on my bank account I offer to pay the rest from my credit card and told me they couldn’t do that.. we didn’t get the Sprinter Van my wife and I was sad that day. If you want Sprinter! buy it from Walter’s didn’t ask me for what there msrp price. I bought the 2021 4 cylinder diesel high roof 144 with rims and toyo tires with everything premium PLUS for same price what West Covina dealership basic sprinter. My wife and I are so happy with Simon (Esy) Thank you Walter’s! Good video.

    I drive this version of the Sprinter for work. It’s amazing for tall people. Good user experience inside and out. Very slow from 0-20 mph, but actually pretty good from about 30-70mph. Surprisingly beefy on the freeway despite having only 188 hp. Driving an apartment on wheels with paddle shifters is quite fun too.

      Drove the 170 WB - High Top - 4 Cyl Diesel. Quiet ! 9 speed Transmission worked great. V 6 is too loud; with the 4 X 4 ( 3 Inch Step up into Cab ). Expensive. 170 WB long for Parking Lots; 2 feet longer inside.

    Question: have you changed the oil and filter yet? I also have the gas 170 2wd. Just got back from a 8000 mile road trip...we now have a total of 10,000 miles. Do you change your own oil and filter? If so can you do a video on that? Nobody seems to have a Gasoline engine oil maintenance video up yet. YES: Crosswind Assist scares us to death...our 65lb Labrador Retriever doesn't like it either...he gets scared and wants to climb on my lap while driving...yikes!!! Thanks

      @@sin4459 I didn't realize you could get a gas motor in a sprinter. I'm now interested in this vehicle for a courier job as well. I don't want to deal with the DEF and exhaust regen issues. Do you know if they have been using this configuration in Europe for a while? Wondering if there is any long term reliability data available?

    • @sin4459
      @sin4459 3 года назад

      @@tke2414 I dont know about Europe. But the gas has only been in the USA since 2019. They use a small engine thats has been in the smaller MB suv's. I actually know a guy thats a MB technician for over 14 years. He said the gas engine in the cargo van are to new and so far not enough data to see the long term. But he told be to be prepared because on both gas and diesel they're VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE. Remember we courier drive a lot and oil changes with the filters and everything is around $450 even on the gas ones. He basically told me without saying it.... stay away from MB Sprinter. He sees a lot of them come in with issues. So i was luck enough to find a brand new 2021 Nissan NV 2500 high roof, even though they're discontinuing them, they are still a better buy. Best warranty for cargo van. I would suggest you stay away from MB sprinters for courier work. On my fleet of courier I know 5 guys that has the Nissan and a few of them have over 500k in miles on them with super low maintenance. Sry for the long comments but trust me buy a ford transit or if you can find a Nissan.

    • @tke2414
      @tke2414 3 года назад

      @@sin4459 those Nissans are great vans. I had a buddy who sold his with 500k miles. There was nothing wrong with it, but his son is a Ford mechanic and got him a good deal on a Transit. I told him he was nuts for selling that Nissan. His son maintained it and he told me that it wasn't leaking a drop of anything from anywhere when he sold it. You're lucky you found one. In general, I'm not a Nissan fan at all, but those vans are tanks and he was still getting 18mpg with the 4.0lt v6 with 500k on it.

      Have you seen the amount of recalls that Ford gets? My brother just had his 2019 GT Mustang in for Clutch work. Apparently it's common on this model. I just saw the Ford Bronco have a lot of issues as well. It is hard to trust a manufacturer who just can't get anything right. The list goes on and on for every single model they make. Every manufacturer has issues but it seems Ford gets more wrong than right.

    4cyl gas motor?? Good luck going anywhere uphill with that little tonka toy engine with any amount of payload or trying to tow something. Why these manufactures, not just Mercedes but all of them, are putting these underpowered engines in their cargo vans makes no sense. Put a REAL engine with some REAL power instead of these little toy 4cy and 6cyl engines.
    The only 6cyl Id ever get would be the diesel, but a 4cyl gas engine?? LOL
