@@thewinner4x873 Then you just need to wait for the release in 2020 ;) You are right, performance will probably be better if you have an RTX card. It's just too expensive for me.
I play with SEUS's software ray tracing shader and it makes the game more realistic. You dont go into caves without a torch, because there will be complete darkness. However, because of this finding sources of light is easier, making navigation through caves easier and harder at the same time. Personally I love it but even for my GTX 970 it is giving a hard time. On all ray tracing options enabled and tracing distance set to high, Im getting 40-50fps, at some places 30 which is very low. When using just a normal good loking shader Im getting 70-100fps and ofc the vanilla does 200+. The fps impact is big but once you get used to the below 60 experience it is very very VERY beautiful. Its amazing.
Yes it looks great. Other tha the fact that in this video "rtx off" is vanilla minecraft at the lowest possible settings and "rtx on" is modded minecraft with a x2048 texture pack and a shader inatalled.
Why are you negative people expecting this feature to look like God's work? Jesus Christ, I rather have this other than the unoptimized graphic mods out there on this thing called the "internet".
Well you know what Minecraft looks like in better settings so what’s the problem. You can still see what RTX looks like. But oh no when they show Minecraft with out it it looks like low end settings. It’s like complaining about and ad with an unsolved puzzle, when most people have it half way or all the way.
Dilo it’s just shitty misleading marketing practice. Lots of people who haven’t played Minecraft in a while are going to see the video and think that rtx is revolutionary when really it’s just slightly better shadows and reflections. It’s just plain misleading.

The lowest possible Minecraft settings VS Shaders with Raytracing with best settings... Fair enough... Now let's take a look about specs, and Vanilla won x)
@lRaziel1 I dont think its path traced path tracing is years away its multiple times more performance heavy then ray tracing which we can barely do with video games and running quake path traced isnt possible with the best GPU's out
@lRaziel1 well quake is possible but barely and it doesnt run completely smooth youtube cant even properly show path tracing most the time so no way we are going to be playing path traced anything anytime soon I believe
@lRaziel1 I dont really ye I ain't looked at this stuff in a long time. But isnt path tracing just ray tracing but the Ray's bounce exactly like light in real life and ray tracing only bounces once or zero times and it also depends on how many Ray's you cast. I'm pretty sure your not using true path tracing just like rtx doesnt use true ray tracing and this for sure is ray traced tho rtx only ray traces and it doesn't do true ray tracing
@lRaziel1 also if you search anything on true path tracing they all say its years off for any game possibly even a decade and the only videos of it on minecraft dont use true path tracing but something kinda similar to it like rtx does with ray tracing and the are using monster pcs
What are you doing with 3000$ PC? Buy a ryzen 5 (100$) and rtx 2060 (350$) b-450 motherboard (80$) 480 ssd(80$) 16gb RAM (90$) 650W Psu (80$) and case (50$) Total 830 I understand this work 🧐
@@Ares-hr3cv they are exaggerating the final product. It's misleading to say that minecraft looks like that normally, when most bedrock players run at higher settings.
I absolutely love how the ray tracing looks, but there are 2 points I'd like to note: 1. The colours become a little bit too desaturated. This makes it look like there is a permanent layer of fog hanging around in the entire world. 2. The comparison was not entirely 'ray tracing vs not ray tracing' because in the RTX ON scenes, the used textures were '3d textures', whereas the RTX OFF scenes used the vanilla 2d textures.
Jarno de Wit The thing I hate about this is that 1, this will maybe be bedrock only. 2 maybe only available for those with ray tracing cores and a rtx card. 3 This ’rtx on’ is mostly just better graphics and could easily be done without rtx, just look at shaders with a higher res resource pack and it looks the same, if not better.
@@ehdbom I must indeed admit that the need for RT cores and the fact that it is bedrock only, will make me unable to use this feature. Luckily, there are people that are actually making their own shaders that can run ray tracing in java with a normal gpu (although those are still not for the lower end). My two points of note, however, were about what was shown in the video. If you look at the RTX implementation as a whole though, your points are entirely valid.
@@FireTome I agree. Just want to point out that a normal gpu can't run ray tracing tasks (atleast not smoothly). Shaders often use (not as good, but more compatible) different tracing techniques.

SEUS PTGI with realistic textures still looks better imo
But it runs way worse and you have to pay for it
@@thewinner4x873two things:
1) Sonic Ether releases his shaders for free once they are stable, you only have to pay (be a patron) for the development versions.
2)If you want to use the shaders shown in the video, you will have to spend hundreds of dollars for an RTX graphic card which SEUS does not require.

I feel like this is mostly for creative purposes. It's pretty hard to survive with this lighting.
Yup. It's just all about the play style at this point
That makes it better

Now let's take a look about specs, and Vanilla won x)
and not normal shaders, with vibrant shaders

*...And that's okay*
Wow you can actually see the blocks that are in front of you when RTX is off. Amazing!
I absolutely love how the ray tracing looks, but there are 2 points I'd like to note:
Bronze HD I can’t do it. But just look up ”minecraft shaders” there are lots of good shaderpacks that look like this.
