52” stand on is the best for all around use IMO, brand doesn’t matter as much as people like to think, I like the toro grandstand because it is low maintenance, party on guys🎉
Just a wonderful day on the mower with you, and thank for sharing your Business information. You know Lawan Care is a Business and you take pride in. Thank again.
I'm one cut in on my new z-stance 52. Haven't seen many reviews on it, but the first cut was such a joy! I was geekin out to my wife over it 😅 #onecutatatime #onecustomeratatime. Thanks FTP for all the content. Has really helped me get started in my lawn care business journey.
So far ive loved my gravelys, my oldest/ retired mower is a Pro turn 48 in. with 850hr. My Pro stance 52 just hit 75hrs (so far im loving it and its a beast) my Pro stance 36 has 106hrs, on it ( im not sure if im completely satified with the cut on the 36 but im also a perfectionist and need to understand that the smaller deck and narrower wheel base effects the look) Also like you mentioned, i have a absolutely fantastic dealer, who have gone above and beyond in the last 4 years of our business together. I also bribe the with Christmas cookies every year soooo that probably helps🤣 As usual, on behalf of al the southern lawncare community, thank you for your channel, videos, and advice. Me and several other lawncare guy I know in my area have learn and implemented many of things into our businesses from learning from your experiences and advice
I was one of the brand loyal guys for many years. 25 years in the business and Im looking at replacing our Wrights with Gravelys next month solely based on price. I also have a Gravely dealer 15 minutes away. I really feel like all the major manufacturers make a pretty good machine and paying $3-4K more per machine just doesnt make good sense.
Stand-on is definitely the way to go. My only issue with stand-on is the weight. At +800 lbs plus rider, you're easily looking at +1000 lbs and the day after it rains, it's not a good combination. So I'm stuck skipping a day and then push mowing the following day until it dries out. Looking into a walk behind + sulky as a back-up / mushy days mower for this. Think a walk-behind would make ruts day after it rains or still need something lighter? Stuck between a 36" hydro walk behind or that 32" Ferris FW15 but no sulky. Decisions decisions.
My son is going to be a senior in high school in the fall and does about 50 small residential lawns a week. He uses hustler mowers- a 52 super s and 36 trim star. What are your thoughts/experiences with those mowers?
We drive our standers most often with one hand for years (left hand). Let's us use our right hand for chute blocker, phone etc. Do you experience your hand falling asleep during use or at night waking you up? I run it the smoothest with the left hand, and find I'm not as smooth running it two hands or right hand.

Good evening Jonathon. I was blessed enough to have a fellow landscape maintenance provider let me use his 2024 52" pro stance mower on one of his properties just to see how i liked it. I knew that gravely decks could cut St Augustine and Bahia fairly well but i was unsure how it would do on fescue and bluegrass. The cut was pretty good. Much better than i expected. The machine seemed really slow though. Have you noticed that or was this just the case with this particular machine, perhaps?
I use a 36" Turf Tracer with a sulky doing medium to small lawns in an urban to semi-urban environment. It's unbelievably fun and never once faced a situation I couldn't handle with ease but I'm wondering if anyone could quantify how much more energy I'm using on a sulky vs. a stand-on.
Gravelys cut nice. I like my exmark too there all good mowers. When the new truck video coming out? Curious why you got rid of the super duty? Whats your opinion on towing under 5k lbs with a 3/4 ton vs 1/2 ton any advantages?
I'll be honest I have Gravely and Scaggs I know the pros and cons on both hands down the Scagg cuts and mulches way better than Gravely and is extremely faster I raced a 60 inch Gravely against a 52 inch Scagg the Scagg smoked it by a long shot also it mulches significantly better the comparison is night and day. The newer pro stance cut has improved and is a bit faster I have a 60 inch Gravely 2 36 inches older pro stance I have a newer pro stance 32 inch Gravely and a newer 36 inch Gravely the 32 sucks the 36 is awesome I have a 61 inch Scagg and 4 52 inch Scaggs and a 32 inch Scagg. All mulch kits I had the quick shoot but the mulch kits are way better The 32 inch Scagg I don't like so much But all the 36 and up Scaggs out perform all other mowers I have pros to Scaggs the stupid throttle cable keeps having to be replaced on all of them bc the wear put and won't stay full throttle The Gravelys are tanks with almost no issues besides normal wear and tear The Gravelys can blast through overgrown St Augustine even with a mulch kit the Scagg will shut off on overgrown grass you can only cut increments The Gravely often requires double cuts to cut stragglers the SCAGG not so much on double cuts I also have 36 in Toro Grandstands and a Wright Stander the Toros cut phenomenon all but controls are finky the Wright is just ok I like both mowers but from running both for Years Scagg Dominates on cut quality and mulch ingredients capabilities it mulches stuff into oblivion our set up was 36 in Gravely 52 inch Scagg both blades are interchangeable as well another con of Scagg on old Vide ride 2 is no true 5 inch deck height thick St Augustine needs the Gravely new Scagg have a 6 inch I'm glad but I aint buying none until these give out😅

Toro makes a sweet stand on
I use encore standers. 52” and 32”

I picked up a gravely zstance 52 this year and so far I love it. Just ordered my chute blocker.

I agree, I’ve demoed all of them and gravely has been solid! Cut quality is great, parts , and overall all is a great mower especially for the price!

How do you feel about the new gravely z stance platform was thinking about grabbing the 48 or 52

I love the Gravely machines
Any chance to make a part repair series for the gravely equipment for the gravely users when you have to do simple maintenance??
Sure, I’ve been getting pretty good over the years at working on mowers 😊
How do you like your new truck? I’m considering something similar.

I forgot to mention in the vid how fast the mower is as well. It drives faster than I would ever want to cut grass.
@@FloridaTurfPros good to know.. Thanks
Gravely 52 and 36 here. Same feeling for me.

I'll do a video on this.
What shoot blocker is that?
It's the gravely one... I just ordered it when I ordered the mowers.
Which operator controlled chute do you recommend?
Gravely oem
Thanks, great info!
I’ve had toro and Scag both lemons
Struggling to find a machine that is reliable for me and my business bad experiences with Toro and Scag
I love it !
@floridaturfpros what kind of chute blocker do you use if you don’t me asking?
Look at Qwikchute blocker. Extremely durable.
Gravely’s oem
If Brian is ExMark, and Spencer is Toro… FTP is Gravely.
I bought a new Ferris stand on. I keep using my Gravely pro-stance instead of the Ferris. Wished I never bought the Ferris. Gravely is a great mower.
What seems to be the problem with Ferris? Which model?
@@firstname6208would love to hear the answer.
I have wright standers because of my dealer. A mower is gonna mow.
I have a 61 inch Scagg and 4 52 inch Scaggs and a 32 inch Scagg. All mulch kits I had the quick shoot but the mulch kits are way better
The 32 inch Scagg I don't like so much
But all the 36 and up Scaggs out perform all other mowers I have pros to Scaggs the stupid throttle cable keeps having to be replaced on all of them bc the wear put and won't stay full throttle
The Gravelys are tanks with almost no issues besides normal wear and tear
The Gravelys can blast through overgrown St Augustine even with a mulch kit the Scagg will shut off on overgrown grass you can only cut increments
The Gravely often requires double cuts to cut stragglers the SCAGG not so much on double cuts
I also have 36 in Toro Grandstands and a Wright Stander the Toros cut phenomenon all but controls are finky the Wright is just ok
I like both mowers but from running both for Years Scagg Dominates on cut quality and mulch ingredients capabilities it mulches stuff into oblivion our set up was 36 in Gravely 52 inch Scagg both blades are interchangeable as well another con of Scagg on old Vide ride 2 is no true 5 inch deck height thick St Augustine needs the Gravely new Scagg have a 6 inch I'm glad but I aint buying none until these give out😅
Nothing like rubbing your face with a clean hand homie!
