Russian Forces have seized approximately 100 to 125 square kilometers of territory in the northeast Kharkiv region, encompassing several villages. In this episode of The Grand Strategy with Major (Retd) GD Bakshi, he explains how the Russian troops are capitalizing on Ukrainian vulnerabilities in manpower and weaponry amid the delayed arrival of new U.S. military assistance. They are now pressing deeper into the partially occupied Donetsk region, with a notable focus on Pokrovsk located just inside Ukraine's border in Donetsk.

Boy’ the photograph of a Ukrainian soldier operating a World War One vintage Vickers machine gun says a lot about their weapon shortages. Of course, I would still not want be on the receiving end of it. Even though the design of this gun dates back late 19th Century, it can shoot good as dead as the latest machine gun designs.
Good show as always, it nice to have this type of show without bias or propaganda. With so much going on I imagine this will be a reoccurring program as the world descends into world war. Thank you General Bakshi for sharing your time and expertise. 👍
Listening to any of the masterly presentations by this seasoned military guru is tantamount to attending an ex cathedra lecture at a prestigious military academy. Thnx to his videos, many of us laypeople in military affairs, are somehow familiar with military jargon.

It is agreed that the Russians have forced the Ukis to transfer troops from the East and South to the North. But apparently it has served no operational purpose. The Russians haven't achieved any extraordinary breakthrough in the East nor in the South. It is the same slow slog capturing few meters here and there. This goes to prove that the Northern offensive was indeed a necessity to save belgorode from regular Uki punitive assaults and artillery shelling by creating a buffer zone.

It looks like Ukraine will have to do what the Russians did before in the Kharkiv region. The Russians pulled out so that they could consolidate their troops to defend more favourable positions in waiting for their new troops to become ready. Ukraine was gloating about that as a rout and how Russian soldiers just do not know how to fight and so on. Ukraine will now jave to cease vast tracks of territory to retreat to mor defensible positions and pray that the Russians won't push all the way to Kyiv. Now it's the Ukrainians facing the real rout.

General Bakshi, please consider the following analysis. I am pretty sure you never attended the West Point military school. Quite a few US generals, turn TV commentators did attend the West Point. Since the West Point is the most well known military school in the world and, Americans would say, the best military school in the world, why is your war analysis so much better.
Is it because:
1) You do not expect to be called back by the la-la land TV channels: CNN, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC,
ABC, CBS, FOX...
2) You do not engage in jingoism.
3) You do not expect to be on the Bord of Directors of Raytheon, Lockheed, or Boeing (they really
need help).
4) Although still very popular with the above mentioned TV channels, the West Point is not the best
military school in the world.
5) You live in the real world.
6) All of the above.
Also bcoz US is engaged directly in the war. They have stake in this war. India or General has no stakes in this war
