Over the last five years or so, every ios update has made using ordinary functions MUCH more complicated, and what took one button press now takes two, or three, or ... Honestly, I am seriously thinking or reverting to a dumb phone.
I know updates are good But on the other evil side they disrupt use of services like the more recent ; I lost wi fi / connection to my internet! Very frustrating. Had to call Apple Care to find out what was wrong and how to fix it . Took an hour or so! Ugh!
I had been trying to do this for at least two hours. I asked my grandson how to do it and he said ask Siri. I did and she said, “Do not disturb is now off.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saved my life stupid Apple you put do not disturb on from settings and focus, but you don't turn it off in the opposite way. Thanks very much brilliant, so I subscribed
THANK YOU! … issue resolved in under 40 seconds! I was on the verge of a “hissy fit”. I woke up this morning with this spontaneously on & it was driving me bonkers🤯… My dog 🐶 thanks you too😂!
Thank you so much! I've discovered I'm getting text messages that are silenced somehow ~ I have not intentionally silenced on my Apple iPhone 13. It's been frustrating to miss an incoming text while sitting next to the iPhone & not hear a sound!
Thanks for the video! I came in after training some of my horses and found out missed call from work due to the “don’t disturb”function l had not even put on and didn’t know was activated. I just could not figure out how to get rid of this stupid thing but now l have after watching your video

When i go to to. focus and schedule there is no way of turning it off … it tells you how to add a new schedule or filter but does not say if focus /silent mode is on or off … My question is : How does it go into that mode : i did not even know about focus or schedule so could not have programmed the silent mode ! This business of changing settings automatically has been going fon over a year now. Feel like buying a dumb phone …
Hi I am afraid to mess with Focus button . I thought it was a great way to temporarily put my phone in a not disturb mode while I was in a meeting . What it did is even after I turn off the do not disturb on focus ALL of my calls started going to voicemail without notifying me that this was happening. No one could call me and I didn’t know they were and sometime their messages would not turn up in my voice mail until the next day. I took my phone to my internet carrier. The tech was able to fix the issue ( Apple was not able) and she told me to never never use Focus again!!!! So I still need to silence my phone for meetings . I put it into Airplane mode and lost my inter connection!! Apple was able to help me reset so I could get my internet back. So now I just don’t know how to silence my phone during meetings!
Still didn’t clearly say how to turn off do not disturb! Mine is still on. What a stupid setting by Apple. Ive no idea how my do not disturb was activated
One year of trying to turning off do not disturb. No longer appears in settings and every time I try to turn it off I have to create a new focus so I can at least switch to it. Then I wake up and do not disturb has been on all night. I don’t have settings that say focus.
