    Love this! I've similarly been documenting & sharing my first months on Amazon KDP and my income progress, and have recently been approved as an Amazon Influencer but haven't gotten onsite yet, which is my goal by end-of-year. As you can see on my channel I am also camera shy and haven't jumped in front of my videos yet, so it is helpful to hear the type of videos you were able to get approved with through "hand demos" :) Looking forward to follow your journey!

    I'm part of Amazon Merch and yes, clothing items are frequently returned! It's normal. P.S. Subscribed!

      That’s awesome, I’ve heard of Amazon merch but don’t know much about it.
      What I’m wondering is - if someone exchanges a clothing item for a different size - do we earn a commission on the new item that is ordered? I haven’t looked into it enough yet.
      Best of luck 🤞🏼

    Hi Chris, from where we can outsource these videos and what is the process. Because we won't have hundreds of products at our home for making 300+ videos. Will be waiting for the thorough guide. I'm already an Amazon Associate.

    Great video. This is something I’ve been working to get accepted into. Right now I’m concentrating on increasing my Instagram followers. I watched several of your review videos. You do a good job. Question 🙋‍♂️ what are you using for lighting? Are you recording with your GoPro? Using a wireless mic? The lighting and sound are good quality. Thanks for any feedback.

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  Год назад

      Thank you! For lighting I just have my camera setup with natural window light. And it depends on the video sometimes I will use my Sony camera, iPhone, or action camera. For the RUclips videos I use my Sony ZV-1F and a blue yeti mic. Here is all the camera gear I use amzn.to/3R4d8VZ

    So wait a second… the commission you made was $2000, correct? Not $20,000 or $60,000. That other amount is what Amazon got, right? Also, can you put the link to your tiktok and your Amazon Influencer video page so we can see how you do it? Also, why do you choose not to show your face?

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  Год назад +4

      That is correct, I made about $2,000 in commission. The total revenue generated was about $60,000 (the total amount of sales). The commission you earn is based off the revenue generated/sales.
      Initially, I did not want to show my face just because I am camera shy. But, as I continued to make more videos I became more comfortable and started showing my face in more of my videos. And, in my experience, it seems like the videos where I show my face perform better than videos where I only show the product.

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  Год назад

      Hey Congrats! I don’t see why you couldn’t review books. I would look at the product pages of some books to see if there are other influencer videos to check.
      One thing I might watch out for is the text on book covers might cause your videos to be flagged. Otherwise I’d give it shot, please let me know how it goes, and good luck!

    Is the commission for the influencer program that much more than the associates program?

    • @Chris_Everything

      My understanding is the commission rates are the same. But, Amazon influencers gives your content much more exposure because it’s placed on Amazon

      @Chris_Everything  Год назад +1

      There are a couple of ways of going about uploading content. Either through the Amazon app on your phone under the ‘influencer hub’ or web browser on desktop.
      I will make a video soon about how to manage and upload content to Amazon/ your storefront.

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  11 месяцев назад

      I’m making videos on anything and everything. I don’t know how Amazon picks and chooses which videos to showcase. This is definitely a numbers game. The more videos you upload the more warning potential

    When you say that you applied, and re-applied. Do you just mean you uploaded videos, or is the actually a way to APPLY? Thank you.

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  Год назад +2

      So the first time that I applied to the Amazon influencer program in - I was denied. Then the second time I applied for the influencer program - I was accepted. This gave me access to my own storefront and the ability to upload videos and create idea lists.
      Once I was accepted into the program I uploaded my first 3 videos to become eligible for onsite commissions (I actually uploaded a lot more) and I was rejected for onsite commissions.
      Then, I deleted all of the videos that I uploaded to my storefront and started over from scratch with 3 brand new videos.
      After uploading 3 brand new videos, I was approved for onsite commissions.

      @@Chris_Everything Thank you for the detailed explanation. Bear in mind that in min 2:02 you say that you uploaded your 3 videos and APPLIED for onsite commissions. That's what threw me off guard. It could be confusing to others as well.

    Yes but when u look at it thats ALOT of videos that you are uploading. & The day u generated over $24k and wasnt even give 10% of what your videos helped them make. That was wrong. They could have hiven u at least 10%

    • @Chris_Everything
      @Chris_Everything  Год назад +2

      I see what you’re saying - it’s crazy to see that we generate tens of thousands of dollars and are only paid a fraction of that.
      But something to keep in mind - as influencers we’re paid anywhere from 1%-10% commission on products. And that commission is paid by the seller’s themselves and many of these people may be operating on very small margins. When we see the total sale price it seems like a lot of money, but sellers need to account for product costs, advertising fees, FBA etc.

    • @markbloyd9852
      @markbloyd9852 Год назад +2

      @@Chris_Everything Well said. People have to realize the influencer is only providing a small service to help the consumer decide. There are so many costs already associated with the product that have to be considered, before an influencer can get their share of the profit. All the influencers are doing is creating a short video and uploading it. This cost them next to nothing other than their time, and can provide them a source of income every time someone watches their short video indefinitely.

      Hi! Thanks for all this. Question I saw on your Amazon account you have videos on ideas like for Halloween costumes. Does that also get commissions?
