The madeleine is a reference to the description of the dessert in “Swann’s Way” by Marcel Proust (pronounced proost I believe). It’s a bit of a pretentious French novel that I personally did not have the patience to read. But the madeleine sounded lovely lol.
I had to read Proust in a French culture class in college. I just remember alot of absinthe.😅

I thought you might appreciate the humour in this...and thus I received a sign that I think I've bought sufficient niche fragrances now...but I woke up in the middle of the night just now to an email--in French--from the House of Chabaud. I read a bit of French having grown up in Louisiana...where, because the part of Louisiana I lived in was the oldest in the Louisiana Purchase and ALL the government buildings are still labeled "en Frances"...with little tiny signs in English. I've also tried to learn French on several platforms during my life...just enough to be dangerous.
Nevertheless...I opened the email and began browsing. ROFL!!! Thank goodness...the fragrance descriptions were in English so my brain was able to stop the mental gymnastics! (I can't find a yellow heart emoji...)

Winners for the month of Jan. were White Musk from TBS, an oldie but goodie, Tom Ford Ombre Leather the 2018 formulation which was my "going out" scent for most of this month, Zara Warm Freedom, YSL Libre Platine, and Balmain Ambre Gris. A tuberose gem to check out is Tubereuse Headspace by Headspace.

Hey Ms. V….💛 Ya know the one thing I’ve learned over the last 3-4 years is that my opinions of scents changes. So I am being careful not to quickly judge anything. And in many cases I’m putting something away if I’m unsure of it and then pulling it out to retry another time. I think I bought Cocoa Woods because of you and still love it - yep dry dusty cocoa and tiare flower. Still sampling VS Bare, it’s a like but maybe not a love, not sure yet. My sample of MG Sissa came today 🙌🏻 yay! It was 80 and sunny today in AZ ☀️ but overall Jan was pretty cold 😘

I like Vanilla Love but at full retail no plus it slightly reminded me of Eau Duelle but not a dupe by any means😉😉. That Wednesday bottle is stunning😍😍. Sales are all over the place over here and I’m really trying to hide my wallet😫😫. Oh the SA at Dior showered me with Jadore L’Or and I was pleasantly surprised as I did not like the original😍😍. But, here were my most-used last month: Ellis Brooklyn Salt, Burberry High Tea, Victoria's Secret Bare, Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino '97, Commodity Milk -, Carner Barcelona Besos, and... Bond 9 Tribeca (my old stomping grounds!!😊💅) I think Temptatio is for me. 👀 💙,Danya

💛 Watched the whole thing.💛 Got 30ml of Note Vanillée Nectar right after Xmas and really enjoyed wearing it in January. Lait de Biscuit is such a nice one to wear before bed or to lounge around in. It reminds me a little of Accident à la Vanille or Bianco Latte, but toned down. Really like Devotion, but the dry down reminds me of Lira. So I didn't buy a bottle... Sounds like your month was great! 😃

I’m in love with Jadore L’Or and I do love the Tiziana Torenzi star fish!! I think they are beautiful! I did purchase Devotion and I like it. I don’t get much longevity but it’s still a very strong like. I have a bottle of Andrea Maack coming and I’m super excited. I did just give my Mom my Boucheron Quatre en Rose, now I want it back! 😂 She adores it. As always I love these videos!💛💛

I looked it up - it's called a molecule ring. All I know is that it's sterling silver and I adore it. Does Lagos make one like this?
I got Soft Tension! After first I wasn’t sure but I do love it now. Lagos does make one similar! I’m so into their bracelets and rings but have to find most on sale. I’m just in love with most of their things.
