Okay, I'll admit, I was admittedly a little worried when I saw the tumbnail..... ZZ Top is a band you just HAVE to get right. The FUTURE of METAL did not disappoint here! Andrea REALLY let her fun sexy side show through here and her vibrato is getting better and better with each new song. Andrei and the rest of the band really outdid themselves rockin' this iconic tune out.
you guys actually look good in a suit and tie. you should do that more often just cuz for that reason only.. Andreea can wear whatever she wants . hehe

Those guys don't even have the right to play the song. You can call anything a "hit" if you don't legally own the right to play/release it. Call it a great performance if you must, but you can't call it a hit. Not yet at least.

I'm entitled to my opinion and to me not being the first one(s) to perform a song is not a reason to prevent it from being a "hit". Think "I heard it through the grapevine." Marvin Gaye and the Creedence Clearwater Revival both recorded the song and both had hits with it. There are other examples, as well. By the way, you're living up to your moniker. How sad.

For it to be classified as a "hit", you have to have the legal right to play the song (by the copyright owner) and then sell a certain number of copies (generally a lot) of your cover version of the song. Do these guys meet both those qualifying criteria? If they do, then I am wrong. If they don't, then you are wrong. Have they obtained permission from the copyright owners, and how many copies of the song have they sold? Edit: Your opinion isn't what determines whether a song is a hit, sales are, and is your argument so weak that you need to resort to name calling and rudeness? You gave your opinion and I gave mine. Both opinions are equally valid, but only one of us has remained civil.

Wouldn't make sense as the clothing mentioned in the song would have to be changed as well. In this song they are not singing about themselves, so does not need a gender change. And the term "sharp dressed" is not generally directed towards women. I agree though, in songs like say Shoot to thrill by AC/DC the genders should be swapped. The opening line can be changed to "All you boys who want a girl of the street", or something like that.
While "Gimme All Your Lovin"" opened the gates, "Legs" was the tidal wave that ultimately followed (it became their biggest hit), with "Sharp Dressed Man" as intermediate flow. The entire Eliminator album gave them worldwide exposure.
@@Prof_Jeff Depends on where you are in the world. In many countries, especially European, Legs was a hit but still not at the level of gimme. In the USA, I agree that Legs was the far bigger song though.
