    What a nice collection. ❤️ Do you pass on the products when decluttered or just throw them? I know it’s none of my business just curious

    Damn it Maaike, I didn't expect you to get rid of so many things and even things I was sure you would keep. On the upside you created space for new pretty things to try out and love.

    The new ColourPop pressed powder highlighter in Cold One is beautiful. It's smooth, not glittery or sparkly, and is a lovely neutral white that's not icy or frosty. I was surprised that CP actually created a highlighter that wasn't too warm for my vampire pale skintone. The new blushes are also really pretty, I bought 2, but the highlighter is the stand out.

    Can't wait for the full reorganizing video! I really love this series!
    P.S. That Revolution highlighter wand was horrible on me. Really patchy, couldn't get it to blend properly and it was quite sticky throughout the day. Hope you have a better experience with it!

    I need to go through my blushes and highlighters. I might need to try them on my face though, blushes sometimes look different on your cheeks. That will be an exercise
    I'm currently trying to pan that Clio duo. It's really pretty. I use it for the aegyo sal too and inner corners. Sometimes on the eye. I like that it's not super intense so I don't need to be too careful when applying it but it builds well 😅 the peachy shade is unique too as it is peachy pink but still cool toned but doesn't look like it in the pan. It's confusing actually 😂

      Yes! It is a confusing product. Pretty for sure, but not my favorite.

    The Charlotte Tilbury one was opposite for me the bronze and glow was muddy on me and the other one was much better so I got rid of the one with the highlighter in it x

    Hi , your going to love charlotte Tilbury contour wand , i am on my second and with me having a complexion similar to yours ,i find i adore mine its so bendable its great ! yes its shocking at first until you actually use it ! but my first love is bronze and glow ! but i have all three wands for travel pinkgasm and spotlight , so i don’t need to worry when travelling. then for powder i use my hourglass in my single , perfection ,

      Yes it was a bit of an intimidating product at first. I didn't love the shade on me for the winter time but it is going to be a great one for summer because it looked quite red on me. And indeed, great for travel!

I was interested in your accent and just jumped to your profile to see where you are from, and I had a chuckle when I saw it says you are petite - 5" high. I think you mean 5', hopefully! I will be checking out some of your other videos next!

  • @ivyb4351

    I think you should invest in a couple vintage compacts. it's nice not worrying if I like the packaging. I look at the product so much more closely than ever before.

    • @FloatinginDreams
      @FloatinginDreams  Год назад +1

      Nah I would never reach for those and they would make products more difficult to store. Not to mention the fact that it could not keep makeup sanitary, nor would it still be suitable for travel.

    • @ivyb4351
      @ivyb4351 Год назад

      @@FloatinginDreams I keep mine on my vanity. Also most of mine are brass makes it easy to travel with never makes a mess and is more sturdy. Not to mention because it is a compact you open up and there's the mirror then you have to open up another compartment for your powder it's very sanitary. And cleaning it everytime you put in a new product I think it's more hygienic to take a product and open it maybe a handful of times to refill a compact then to constantly dip in the same product over and over expecially when the product is over 15 grams.

      I think this is a really nice idea. Do you use alcohol to repress?

    • @ivyb4351
      @ivyb4351 Год назад

      @@katebainbridge not a lot. I dry press I buy pans and use a cheap pressing machine. sometimes I will add silicone to make a hd powder or rice powder for spf. alcohol can just really cause the color to bleed out and my skin dosent like it. My motto is put the products you love in packaging you love. And it's a lot more hygienic buying a 30 mg bronzer and putting it in a compact that holds just a few milligrams. I know a lot of people Frank and products or we'll scrape a product and put it in a different plastic compact but why stick gets micro scratches that hold bacteria.

    Also: Update on those new Essence highlighters as a dupe for Becca Berlin Girl Glow. It sorta works, but you have to mix them together to get the neutral shade which isn't ideal. And it's a bit less subtle, incredibly.
    It's missing the sort of.... flip of the Becca as well. So nearly but not quite. No cigar unfortunately.

    Hi Maaike you got rid of a LOT from this section. I don't have many powder blushes, because I mostly use creams and liquids. Having super dry skin I always liked creams/liquids better on me, even long before they had a huge surge in popularity. I will occasionally pop a powder over a cream/liquid for enhanced longevity, but many of the modern formulas last well alone. Highlighter is a category I don't have a massive amount of - truthfully though it's because I only wear very limited shades of highlight and don't need ten of the same thing (I wear white, pale pink, pink/lilac and sometimes a very pale beige/champagne or peach tone). I don't buy many for that reason. I'm still sorry you don't like the GA neo nude blush formula - it works fine for me (even on my super dry skin) and I love the shade so much (it looks really beautiful on my skintone). Bronzers - I own two (the LG bronze n brighten in fair and the Elf putty bronzer I just bought for Summer). It's just not a category I use/own much of, but I did see one I put on my wishlist - the Jones Road in the lightest option, as it's a very pink toned bronzer and in fairness to Bobbi Brown she was the only one who understood long ago that super pale skin needs a lot of pink in a bronzer to look good (anyone remember Antigua). I know you like a yellow toned bronzer, but those don't work on me. I've used neutral toned blushes for a long time in place of bronzer for warmth/shaping, but the tone of the jones road one looks just right. The Elf is sheer and cool toned so it works fine however (shade is shady something and intended as contour, but works as bronzer on me). I hope you're enjoying being able to see what you have and feel less cluttered. Best wishes.
