Middlesbrough 1997 - Despite reaching BOTH cup finals and starting strongly in the league, Middlesbrough got relegated due to a points deduction.

Birmingham relegated on 39 points in the final minutes of the season having lifted a major trophy months before and spent almost no time during the season in the relegation zone until the very end. Unlucky.

There's only one manager and lot's of players if the manager wants to go you really cannot keep them in place the vibe would be pretty bad whereas you can isolate a want away player, therefore the cost is lower

you needed abh to get booked in the 70s / 80s, look back to the leeds Chelea fa cup final - David Elleray reviewed the match in 1997, and concluded that in the 90s the 2 sides would have received six red cards and twenty yellow cards between them, while fellow referee Michael Oliver thought 11 reds could have been given

If you're relegated you deserve it. Even the likes of Middlesbrough's points deduction is included here. The manager made the decision not to turn up due to injuries, but he still had a squad big enough to field a team, so why not go to the match? Points are only deducted if you break the rules, so again if that causes your relegation, you deserved it.
Please can you get Jurgen Klinsmann on the show , would love to hear about that Germany team in the 1990. he would be a great interview

Barnsley in 97/98. Thanks to Gary Willard orchestrating the "battle of Oakwell" where Michael Owen play acted to get 3 players sent off we lost all momentum. That game showed many why the Greed / Corruption League isn't for little teams.

Listen, and you pro players reading. As soon as a player gets obsessed with their hair, their form is going downhill and they can no longer be taken seriously. It is true. Watch and see this with your own team - be afraid when you see a new haircut. Always, players' with all this over styling go down and down in performance. There is a mental link between needing to look so perfect (when they actually look stupid, mostly) and the effort they put in. Obsessed with themselves, not their team. ALL the top top players have a 'normal' hairstyle. True again but probably some exceptions before you send them in. I always look at Saka and pray he does nothing stupid here as then he's gone.
* just look at Chelsea for proof. All those nonsense cuts.
That Leeds team of 03/04 may have had good players. I saw them play against my team (naming no names) and they were awful.
