  • Guild Wars 2 Like honestly it's cool but it is really long. Like what the hell, the mission is way longer than I thought.

The Dungeons starting at levels 30 through to 80 are the story of Destiny's Edge reconciling. If you didn't do the story dungeons, you missed that story.

Nice, yes, that part of the story is hard. I also strugled with it but can be solo'ed. Yes, elder dragons are kaiju size but fun fact: Zhaitan is the smallest one of the group and he's still huge lol. A warning btw: in the first expansion after the 2 living worlds the difficulty spikes up to the sky.

He's the smallest?! Well that'll be fun to see.
Yeah I dipped my toe into HoT a little so I can get basic gliding and you're not kidding. I was was so confused by that spike. I was like "wtf is going on?" lol.

Destiny's Edge came back together off your main story, but you can interact with them in the Dungeons' story lines. They worth to try at least once, plus they have some nice xp, so it would be perfect to try out while you level up your necromancer.
Originally Living World Season 1 was removed from the game as the story went on, so if didn't play it back then in 2013 (?) You would miss out on it completly. The temporarly solution was a quick, few minute recap video which could be seen in Lions Arch.
Luckily for everyone Anet modernised and readded the whole story arc back to the game and made it free for eveyone. So that we can experience the Guild Wars 2 story without missing bits.
PS.: Festival of the Four Winds just dropped, see we would like to see you experience it and tackle it's challanges.

I'm interested to learn about how they modernized Season 1. I'm only a few missions in but this current version seems on par with the vanilla personal story so far. Unless vanilla GW2 was also modernized at some point.

@@Mario_Universe well they reorganized the story into chapters as it was very lossly attached together, structually. Plus they removed a story arc which introduced us to a new map and a new (later on) important character. The map is Southsun Cove and its still reachable from Lion's Arch, but we still miss out on the story. So you would have to look it up on your own on youtube.
They also modernised the gameplay, adding new combat and event mechanics, plus they added a "new" end-game level boss fight, a Strike missions.
Strike missions are 10 man instanced boss battles, a replacement to the Raids starting from Icebrood Saga.

Is this living world season 1 you're playing? Is it worth it to get it?

Hey there, no. He is playing the last few instances of the Core Personal Story. Living World Season 1 comes after this, but don't worry at all, it's completly free and part of the Core gameplay, meaning even the free to play accounts can experience it.
On the subject of is it worth to play it: it introduces many new characters who will be part of the story later on. Plus it has an awsome main Villian who will be mentioned many times later on aswell, plus its kinda related to a few main story twists later on, which are extremly spoilery.
So yes, deffinetly worth a playthrough.

As he said this is the end of the personal story (first main questline) and Living World Season 1 is free to start at any time. Like you can start it before even completing the personal story but obviously I wouldn't advise that haha.
