    Mr. Ferguson is a fine preacher...as Martyn Lloyd-Jones & Albert N.Martin (all 3 so similar in ways) they never waste a word, they make the bible so clear, they never avoid the hard passages either...and we can,we may, hear/see them in 1,000's of sermons right here on RUclips, thebest thing I found on a pc.

      Lloyd-Jones is the best of the bunch yet even he erred in continuationism, common grace and the free offer of the Gospel.

      @@ThomasCranmer1959I'm at the point of not arguing about continuism
      Just make sure everything is edifying and it all lines up with Scripture
      If you're gonna speak tongues it better be translated and it better line up with Scripture
      And prophecy is forthtelling and must always be accurate Deuteronomy 18 standards
      Not all are healed
      At the end of the day, they'll give an account for how they use their gift

      @tomtemple69 All preachers forthtell what the Scriptures say. It's called expository preaching. Predicting the future is not valid today. That's because the Bible has already been confirmed by the apostles and the sign gifts.

      @@ThomasCranmer1959 that works for me too, I'm not gonna condemn someone if they're eager for the manifestation of the gifts, I just tell them it better follow Paul's guidelines
      I lean more cessationist myself but I'd like to be gracious towards the continuist side of the aisle, and I will always call out the nonsense the charismatic movement comes up with that is extrabiblical

      @DebtorToMercyAlone 3 года назад +2

      @@jgeph2.4 - Ordinarily Common grace means that God has a favorable attitude towards all men and offers all saving grace in Christ. So that It is available for everybody head for head and will become effective (particular) if one accepts it…
      It is contradicted by many Scriptures and Biblical doctrines, but that doesn’t bother many of the Neo Reformed, because they reside to paradox as the ‘solution’ … But in stead of ‘making it fit’ they make Scripture divided in itself and attribute double, opposite wills to God...

      @@DebtorToMercyAlone ok thank you yes I agree that’s heretical . I’ve been reading and listening to Meredith Kline who makes a distinction of common grace but it is not a saving grace as in the covenant of grace . It’s merely a benefit the non elect receive in this temporary state as final judgment is delayed as God accomplishes His redemption for all His elect .

      If Eve had not touched the tree she would not have picked the fruit nor would she have eaten the forbidden fruit. Did God really say do not eat from this tree? Antinomianism always questions God's moral law.

  • @cranmer1959
    @cranmer1959 5 лет назад

    Is there an Hegelian dialectical relationship between the moral law and the gospel? OR is the law/gospel distinction part of the Gospel message as an integrated and harmonious system that covers the whole scope of Scripture? Secondly, why does Ferguson think there is an ability to believe the Gospel apart from an effectual call???? Answer? He does not really believe in total inability/total depravity. This is what happens when Calvinism adopts a doctrine of Arminianism called common grace.

    • @neilgrobson58
      @neilgrobson58 4 года назад +2

      absolute nonscence,and misrepresentation.Ferguson would uphold the necessity of the effectual call.But,and here is where we spot the hyper calvinist, Fergusone believes ,as the Marrow men did, in the free offer of the gospel to all,since we do not know who the elect are,and are called to preach the gospel to all without distinction.Common grace has nothing to do with not believeing in the effectual call of only the elect.All are may hear the outward preaching of the gospel, but the Holy Spirit only effectualy calls the elect through it.
