Well I’m glad I stumbled on your video, I was trying to find the repair process and had already decided to buy the cheap part for my cheap truck. I’ll stick with the name brand
@@everydayirace The reason these hoses aren't lasting is the Ethanol in the fuel. Ford in their infinite wisdom has these hoses and the one for my 1998 F150 run horizontal to the ground So the fuel will lay in the hose and eat it out . The the rubber was never meant to be subjected to alcohol. Which eats the rubber. Whether it's Chinese or OEM Ford ask me how I know.
Try a cheap air compressor, too. You'll soon find it leaking after looking for the culprit at every o-ring joint before a dye-test reveals it between the compressor body halves.
Love your content - Thanks for doing a great job sharing! - BTW - no offense meant here=> when recording it would help if you didn't move cam back & forth so quickly - makes my head swim...;) thanks again!
To be completely fair. I get it, spending the big money. But you buy at minimum 4 China ones before you come out saving money, ontop of that. 5 years a piece that’s another 20 years of ownership. I take those things into consideration for honestly a job that doesn’t take all that long to do. Ethanol’s gonna eat the rubber, China or motorcraft.
You have to pull the bed or drop the tank....it takes time, time is that thing that some people don't value until the very end, you can't buy anymore time, but you can make more money.
@@everydayirace oh ok man i would love to see what you did to the bike and what state its in you should join other facebook zx10r groups and post the vids you would get alot of views.
Ford OEM fuel filler neck hoses for a 97 Ford Escort Wagon don't last 2 years each! Have replaced every 2 years since 2013, 6 times in 10 years! This part is made in Mexico.

Cheap one will last 2-3 years, not worth the headaches.

Maybe treat the rubber before you install the hose ?
Hose has to be rated for fuel...that information would be stamped/printed on a hose from a reputable company such as Gates or Spectra.
This is 2024, they sell fake spark plugs, stamping a rubber hose would be child's play.

Do you still have the bike. No more bikw content
I still have the bike, nobody watched my bike content, so I quit making bike content.

I stay away from fb groups, they're all full of "what is the best oil?" questions and nothing much else.
@@everydayirace The zx10r drag bikes is the best but i was just saying to get some views for your content.
Thanks for the advice 👍

It's the alcohol in the fuel eating the rubber.

@@everydayirace still I'm getting rid of bandicam and switching to snagit
I've never heard of either one of them.
You got 5 years? Mine died in one year.
That sucks
You got 5 years for 25 bucks . Doesn’t seem that hard to pull the tank .
I just replaced mine with a cheap Chinese hose 😬
Get ready to do another in 4 years ..
@@everydayirace if you're lucky.
no one likes it when the rubber busts!!!
