You all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
Thank you for this, Evan. I injured myself years ago, following "bro-science" but this video has not only given me the knowledge to perform it safely, but has also gave me the confidence to get back on the horse. Now it's one of my favorite lifts and I have seen tremendous progress. Again, thanks.
I actually have problems with my lower back. It's a curse and a blessing at the same time. I've only been lifting for about a year and a half and avoided Deadlifts for this reason for 6 months or so. But I'm doing them now and it is my favourite lift
Sid Sloth Same here....one I understood the proper format and method it became second nature. I always start out slow and light to be sure everything is in check...then I stack it on!
I don't like to go too light. Again. I'm still a noob to lifting I guess. I I have a heavy deadlift day on Thursday (pull day) and then on the sat which is leg day. I do squats and deadlift. It was originally just squats, but I decided I needed to deadlift more than once week. So I've lowered the intensity for both, and upped the volume (3x8) both at about 50-70% of 1RM, and just concentrate more on form and keeping tight. Still so much more to learn. And my heavy squat day is on Tuesday.
Good shit. A lot of people avoid lifts because they are not comofrtable doing them but iut's always worth doing them even if done with incrediby light weight; over time, the body becomes accustomed to the lift and before you know it, you're using more weight.
another option is to use the trap V bar for DL as it centers the weight beneath you rather than in front of you so less shearing force on lower lumbar. i wouldnt rec it solely but its an option if lower back is problematic
thanks for the vid. just started deadlift. my lower back was hurt like somethin is burnin whenever i deadlift. i hope it not the sight of injury rather than my lower back is weak.
The best ... evan u r the men !!!! They should make mr.o for the most loved by people bodybuilder ... and make u win it every year ... dr.centopani (please make more cooking vedios)
Great information but the camera guy managed to avoid filming the movement properly, instead zooming in far too much, the zoomed crotch shot is not helpful at all.
His explanation is kinda weird. Never heard it be explained that way. But it's correct. And his tip about pushing the floor away is very good. Something which is under-cued
Compression shorts could help, but most likely your arms aren't straight down and make sure you keep them locked, think about flexing your triceps. Depending on arm length that should help. It always comes up right under my balls. Also you might just not be deadlifting very heavy, the heavier you go the more of a weighted stretch it is at the top and it will pull down on your shoulders and won't come up as far
U really don’t need to make any more complicated. It’s as Simple as he’s explained it. Let’s not confuse people with more technical crap it’s the last thing they need.
how is walking out of the rack safer walking back 2-3 steps back with 300lbs in your hands then doing touch and go seem like a easy way not to stay tight and get a good breath to stablize your core
jlalonde1000 these people A don't lift or B they believe all the bullshit they see on RUclips and confuse dl with rack pull and they end up in our gyms taking up space in the power rack and pissing us off. Stop being so full of shit and pretending that you know what your talking about because you fucking don't. Never ever should you start a dl from a racked position. It is called deadlift for 2 obvious and easy reasons:you start from a dead stop and the movement ends at a dead stop. Nowhere you should involve a rack.
thats what i think it takes me at least a 1-2 seconds at the bottom to breath and re brace the i pull the bar hard against my shins the up the weight goes now i have no hair on my leg in a straight line up my legs lol
My grandfather was just listening to the video as I was watching it and at 4:39 you suggest to “use the bar use a quarter!” And he thought you ment literary use a quarter! He blurted out what an a**hole, you’ll never catch me cradling a quarter to do squats in a gym.”
The deadlift involves the same primary muscles than the squat. Nobody would say that the squat is a pulling movement. Why do they say that about deadlift ? And I do not agree about the fact to squeeze the back at the end. I used to do that at the beginning and it's wrong. Doing this hurts me because my shoulders went too far forwards. Squeezing the trapezos at the beginning prevents that. Really good advices anyway. When people will understand that is a legs exercice, it will be better. Just look at the work of the calves on the deadlift ! Just to make you think a little bit.
they call deadlift a Pulling movement because the weight is sitting LOW......and it looks like you're Pulling up, when you straighten your body(which you technically ARE)......squats, the weight is HIGH.....pretty simple concept....shouldn't have to explain that.
Have a little think yourself, Einstien... Squat= Weight loaded on BACK or across anterior/shoulder Chest and starting lift from a Vertical UPRIGHT POSITION. Deadlift= Starting exercise with the weight either on the floor in a BENT position or, at the Hip going into a BENT position, Lowering weight ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR with the weight engaged by the arms and NOT perched vertically on your back. Ya don't think people who don't know any better try to ''PULL'' up with their back, shoulders and arms rather than using their posterior chain during deadlifts?? Just think, period.
this guy is out of this mind if he thinks Im going to walk out of the rack with 3 or 4 plates to start. There are these things called jacks and if you are lucky enough to have access to one then use it other wise be a man and use your hands and put the plates on yourself with the bar on the floor.
Always good to see Dr Centopani.
You all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Omari Johnathan instablaster :)
I'm a simple man...I see Even Centopani- I like
Thank you for this, Evan. I injured myself years ago, following "bro-science" but this video has not only given me the knowledge to perform it safely, but has also gave me the confidence to get back on the horse. Now it's one of my favorite lifts and I have seen tremendous progress. Again, thanks.
Great advice Evan. If the newer guys would only watch this, take it in and listen. Would go so far for them in the long run.
Thanks a lot for the video! It's always good to see Evan. His advices are really useful.
Evan is the best.

Sid Sloth i had that issue too. But now is fixed going to streching and massage .

Evan good advice THANK YOU for not swearing in your video as so many others do!
thanks for the vid. just started deadlift. my lower back was hurt like somethin is burnin whenever i deadlift. i hope it not the sight of injury rather than my lower back is weak.
Excellent Evan!
Thanks for the video! No BS. Just great advice from a pro.
Ive never seen somebody to explain better the dead lift ,god job evan your one of the bests bodybuilders 💪🏼
Great video. I'm curious as to why you prefer to start the DL standing up? I do like this idea though, will try it out.
More Evan please!

Spot on as always
Great information but the camera guy managed to avoid filming the movement properly, instead zooming in far too much, the zoomed crotch shot is not helpful at all.
great video thank you
Missed Evan

the bar is always hitting my balls how to mitigate that?
Francis Atienza Tuck them!
Francis Atienza I feel you on that one, short arm problems for me lol
Francis Atienza wear proper underwear which swimmers wearing

Buy some converse they are perfect for deadlifting and squating
Do they ventiate enough?
Even is the best
Evans a beast
Great advice for a bodybuilder! I’m sure this form is to maximize muscle hypertrophy but it’s probably not the most efficient for lifting huge weight
Love Deadlifts
The big evan.
why is he starting in the rack ????????????????
jlalonde1000 It's safer
how is walking out of the rack safer walking back 2-3 steps back with 300lbs in your hands then doing touch and go seem like a easy way not to stay tight and get a good breath to stablize your core

Because he is a grown man who can do WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS TO DO
thats what i think it takes me at least a 1-2 seconds at the bottom to breath and re brace the i pull the bar hard against my shins the up the weight goes now i have no hair on my leg in a straight line up my legs lol
Perfect Evan ur the best
The shit is simple:look at how Crossfitters do it and do the opposite. Just straighten your back period.
Should you deadlift off the floor or rack and then down to dead lift?
Good!
Crossfitters can learn from this. I see them in my gym dropping the weight instead of lowering it back down to the floor.
Hahahaha...I've kinda noticed this too
Is he cutting?
If you start from the top-down it's a Romanian deadlift. And you don't bounce Romanian deadlifts. Or any deadlifts
Touch and go is great for *back injuries*!
I.m from Brasil!
Never avoid deadlifts nor Squats. If done correctly and safely, they will kick your ass
I want to look like him, and also be able to deadlift 500kg.
He left off the part where he tells you about all the testosterone he injects himself with regularly. :)
My grandfather was just listening to the video as I was watching it and at 4:39 you suggest to “use the bar use a quarter!” And he thought you ment literary use a quarter! He blurted out what an a**hole, you’ll never catch me cradling a quarter to do squats in a gym.”
Those 34 dislikes are vegans.
Gotta love all these 'athletes' sponsored by whey...creatine etc etc.
We'll just not mention steroids.

So the muscles don't count in the balance. Soon a Jefferson squat you also pull because the weight is sitting low.

Aren't deadlifts a somewhat pointless movement for bodybuilding?
Mucka Dellic no way man! Nothing builds a back like deads, rows come close but deads are better in my opinion
Nope. As a bodybuilder, it's one of the most important! It adds complete development to the whole posterior chain!
Thanks so much for the reply Evan! I hope to see you featured more on this channel! I miss your nutrition videos!
Time to get on the deadlift train.
As if he is a good deadlifter
hes great

Chris Goomba just roll the plates onto a 2.5 and it lifts the side up enough to put another plate on lol
