  • I am not a suspension expert.
    I read the I structures and have some mechanical ability. It is not that difficult and really helps the ride.

    Use a socket, long extension and ratchet to adjust the preload on the front forks. Way easier than the crescent wrench, and it's easier to keep track of the turns you are doing. Otherwise, nice video of the process. I've been slowly dialing in my setup too on my 24 900RP

    After riding I’m super interested in where you ended up on your settings. I’m about 250lbs with gear and similar on/off road as you described. I have the exact same bike as you. I ended up at FRONT: 75% preload, 10 clicks and 10 clicks. REAR: 50% preload and 1 full turn. Can you share weight and final settings? Have fun out there!

      I went one turn off full firm for shock preload. Total of six turns so about 17% softer than max firm. On the rear preload I went 10 clicks from softest. These are firmer than recommended but I am aslo about 250 with all gear and luggage. I have not changed it from how I set it up in the video. It is working well. I might increase preload in the rear a little when I go camping and have more gear but for everyday I like this set up.

    Is your tailbag the swmotech cargo bag? Waiting on mine to be delivered. Couldn’t find much info about it working on tiger 900s. Glad to see it fits alright.

      @ryandoellman7012 yes it is. I have had it for almost 8 years so the new one is probably a little different but it is basically the same bag. It fits and works great.

    I wanted 18 clicks rebound and compression for an off road setting on my '24 Tiger 900 Rally Pro as the manual says but the max clicks on the left fork was only 13 and on the right even 26 clicks 😡. I had to go to a suspension specialist to correct the number of the clicks to 21 on both forks which is the right clicks from factory.
    Did you check if you have max 21 clicks on both forks?

      Mine was the same on both sides of the fork.

    In the rear suspension, y check another video that says full turns, not clicks.... because a click its not a full turn, what do you think?

    • @masbaoutdoors5353
      @masbaoutdoors5353  16 дней назад

      @danielpineda3656 a click is not a full turn. I went by clicks but it might be full turn, i interpreted the directions as a click.. The nice part is that it is very easy to adjust so you can try it and change it on the ride
