  • Two years ago I made paid a visit to Charis Bible College lead by Andrew Womack, a prominent Word-Faith preacher. It was quite an interesting and revealing visit.
In this program I will tell you about my visit and what happened when I challenged a prospective student’s theology with the Word of God.

Yes, Justin isn't saying God isn't the healer or that God doesn't heal people. God absolutely heals people, but it is up to Him and Him ONLY who is healed, when, why, etc. It's not God's will for EVERYONE to be healed - if it were, everyone would be healed. And these charlatans are certainly not healing anyone or being used by God to do so either, they're proven liars. But God absolutely can heal people and still does, and always has, but only when it is His will to do so.

I graduated from Charis Bible college in 2017. You spoke to a prospective student when you were there not a graduate. You spoke to a perspective student otherwise known as a visitor instead of an instructor. You were there on false pretenses which is the way Calvinists and cessationists usually handle themselves.
The authors that you mentioned in the bookstore, none of those authors have books in that bookstore. In other words you misled or lied in your video. The bookstore is more of a gift store for visitors but you obviously didn't look closely enough.
Charis is a Bible college not a church. I'm hoping you misspoke and did not intend to mislead the viewers. There are many Bible colleges with larger campuses then Charis. Many of them have great debt. Charis is virtually debt free.
Calvinism is not the gospel. Your unbelief keeps you bound in your wheelchair. Most likely it's the reason why you embrace the doctrine that you embrace.

The word/faith doctrine is inaccurate, otherwise no one who is staunch believer in it would ever die. Traditionally, that has been interpreted to say the thorn was to keep Paul humble. Therefore, God had to be the author of it, because only God would want Paul to be humble. But there is a godly way of being exalted. First Peter 5:6 says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” Those who submit (humble) themselves to God will be exalted by God. Paul was not speaking of exalting himself above measure through pride, but rather, the thorn came from Satan to keep Paul from being exalted by God in the eyes of the people...the thorn is given to prevent Paul from being proud, haughty or conceited on the basis of his vision ...To make it clear You think your better than anyone else ..Just coz God of Heaven Blesses or Gives You A Gift and in your thinking your better than anyone else But your not ..this is what it means

I was healed by Jesus Christ from a lifetime of debilitating anxiety/depression that had to be medicated. No more meds and I am stable and closer to the Lord than ever! Thank you Father! God heals and I will never cease to pray for the sick when the Holy Spirit compels me to. I don't see one Bible verse that forbids us to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing in Jesus name!! I myself have to pray for my own healing from my carnal nature daily. We must remain humble in the sight of the Lord and be ready to receive a healing whenever He so wills it.
The people who I feel bad for are the people who have invisible disabilities, therefore they never receive prayer. People with visible disabilities should feel blessed that so many love them enough to pray for them!

    • @zzevonplant
      @zzevonplant 2 года назад

There is absolutely nothing wrong with praying for the sick, laying hands on the sick in prayers, praying for our own physical, mental, and/or spiritual healing, and so on. There's nothing at all wrong with that. And the Lord ABSOLUTELY DOES still heal people today, and every cessationist believes that. We just don't believe that these word-faith people are running around healing people, they're liars, they're charlatans, THEY cannot heal people at will, none of us can heal people at will, none of us has that power, only the Lord has that power and only uses it when it is his sovereign will to heal the person. That's not what these word-faith people are teaching though. There is a huge difference between, "the Lord CAN heal anyone, and heals whom He wills for His own reasons, and for some, healing is not God's will for them," etc., versus "I, Benny Hinn/Andrew Womack/Kenneth Copeland/whoever can heal whoever I want, whenever, because I wield the Holy Spirit like a magic wand." Those are not the same things at all, it's a crucially important distinction.

Why would people want to fight people who believe God desires to heal and deliver? We all walk our own salvation out with fear and trembling. If you believe God's will is not healing for all then walk that out in your salvation. But dont criticize and attack others who believe that Christ has purchased healing for all. Christ paid a mighty price for healing to be available to the body of Christ. Why fight people along these lines? Hi Mike - tell me why I have had cerebral palsy since birth and why I still have it. I'll be waiting for your response.
I argued with him back and forth for the better part of the day today, rebuking him left and right, in the comment section of Michael Hesiers (youtube channel Bible Nerds) newest video concerning "Can a Christian lose the Holy Spirit?".
He is coming to these channels to try an snare followers into this twisted ridiculous cult he belongs to.
He is the kind of person who screamed "WITCH" and burned other Christians at he stake for not agreeing with his theology for centuries.
Or having something they have no control over in their life like your CP or my spinal damage being indicative of "being of the devil".
He shows loathing and contempt to anyone that doesnt agree with his insane doctrine......which is absolutely not, "loving your enemies and praying for those who persecute you."
There are gullible people in that comment section that see you have not responded and will take that as "him being right."
Teaching we "become perfect" is a doctrine straight from hell.
Noone could do it, thats why Yeshua/Jesus had to descend, to do what none of us ever could.
Its absolutely disgusting that he is teaching that anyone who is not "totally healthy" is of the devil.
So many believe in the 3 Sola's fide/grata/and scriptura, but always seem to forget the 4th, which is TOTA scripture.
Its gross how people will quote scripture that supports their view, but ignore scripture that contradicts their views.
Scripture is not flawed, if someone has a view that seems to coincide with some scriptures, but contradicts others.....its not scripture that has the flaw, its their dogma.
I would have posted this in a more private setting, but I didn't see a discussion area on your homepage and figured a request in your most recent video would be the best chance I had of contact.

Garett, I encourage you to review my brief interaction with Justin below and to also keep an open mind: what if the truth wasn't as cut and dried as either Andrew Wommack or Justin et al would like you to think it is? In what follows, I address Justin's defense, which frankly, isn't much of one: "But moving on, Acts 14:8-10 speaks of Paul healing a cripple in Lystra. The Scripture states; "Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed..." This implies that some do not have faith to be healed. Was Paul putting an unimaginably cruel burden on the man? Likewise, when Jesus went to His hometown, but could do not great miracles there because of their lack of faith in Him, was he burdening them with faith or did He take it as a given that they ought to have had faith? Secondly, your reasoning falls short; does not Scripture also speak of the disciples not being able to heal the boy suffering from seizures? Did Jesus there not put the onus on the disciples (the healers, not the one seeking healing) themselves? "O faithless and perverse generation" and "because of your (the disciples] unbelief" Jesus said to them when they could not heal the boy. Was He putting a cruel burden on them as well? When you reply, please answer these questions. Look, God never promised us this road would be easy, but it is our role as believers to have the integrity to seek God (not in the form of American Christianity) but with purity of practice, prayer and repentance. Until these things truly take place, which they might never be now that the great apostasy is upon us, we should not be disappointed at the lack of more genuine healing around us. Speaking of integrity, this brings me to MacArthur:
No, God did not bless MacArthur, MacArthur blessed himself, thereby breaking God's command. Deut 17:17 states that the Israelites were to appoint a king who was to abide by this rule: "nor shall he greatly multiple silver and gold for himself" If it were to be true of a king, how much more then of a servant! The Lord said Justin, that you cannot serve God and Mammon. What part of that is unclear to you? MacArthur amassed gold and silver for himself, whether it be from book sales or donations matters not, to the tune of $130 mln in assets, $12.8 mln from ministry and donor funds, and he owns not 1, not 2, but 3 luxury homes worth millions. If he were a true disciple, he would have given his money to the needy and the church and lived on a modest amount. Can anyone picture Peter or Paul or James living in 3 luxury homes in Rome? So I will challenge you publicly, are you willing to repent of your coddling of JM and Phil Johnson and call them out for their greed?

Justin, thank you. I have had the same experience over and over. Steven,……..my wife has been “binge” watching your “hit the bar” episodes and they bless her very much. She was raised more in this type of theology. You both are a blessing to me as I have watched you for several years. I was literally kicked out of church….that I was an elder of which was non-denominational …..originally “Community Bible Church”, now Life Church. It had a season of going more biblical while I attended as a younger adult, but had mudded waters with doctrines. They hid it well being many were shallow in knowledge. The youth pastor who became senior pastor attended Rhema which initially didn’t really mean anything to me because that was before my time and I was not even aware of “word of faith” growing up. I grew up more reformed/evangelical free, parents very godly, and faithful students of the Word! (Top of the list of most Godly people I know!). As I continued to elevate sound doctrine over traditions and experiences, I was told by the rest of the elders “we will not talk about doctrine.” The praise report of this is that although I had seen this coming for a few years before it was over, I have had the opportunity to share the Gospel with most in the church and see some have a great hunger and astounding maturity as they truly fear God and love His Word. I realize this is lengthy, but when I saw a comment with both of you on it, I did want to say Hi……and thank you. You are making an important impact for the Kingdom of God!

I use to be critical of Andrew when I saw him in a documentary, but honestly I knew nothing about him. I was just being critical. Then I actually started to listen to his teachings and Bible studies and wow they have been such a blessing. But he’s just a regular person, he’s not God, he’s not a cult, he’s not even a preacher, just a teacher. He’s not my only teacher or greatest teacher, just a teacher. But his teachings have blessed me and encouraged me to get more into the word. 🙏🏼 nobody has perfect theology, but we can learn from each other.

That scripture says it as a messenger of Satan to buffet him. If you look at thorn in the old testement it mentioned a person usually some kind of persecution bc if you look at Paul’s life it wa full of that . Also I learned that where it says exhailted , there is also a godly exaltation. Jesus only did what his father told him to do and he said if you saw him you saw the father . Jesus never put sickness or allow it on anyone to teach them anything . He also said we would do the same works he did bc of the Holy Spirit . Also Paul didn’t get told no , he got told that Gods grace was sufficient for him and made perfect in weakness . When we understand grace more we get revelation of what he was saying . Also we were promised persecution. Gods plan has always been life . In him there is no darkness only light. I have gone back and forth with this and from what I see healing isn’t something he can do it’s part of his nature it’s who he is . When he healed it was out of love and compassion. Also many times people did something out of faith of their hearts . We are collaborating with God and his workmanship. Also look up the word salvation in Greek and do a deep study :) we are in a new covenant and it’s beautiful Jesus died for our sins and salvation in every area . It’s not the will of the father for anyone to perish but sadly they do without knowing him. Also since finding out Gods true nature and how deeply he loves his children I have spoke the word in faith and trust in my God and have seen many healings including my son raised twice in womb and near drowning . My marriage saved , my mother healed , my husband , many fevers gone that could have been bad , my life saved twice and many more . Gods word is power and life. I just wanted to share what I have learned and. Testimony ! Blessings to you.

Personally I would say that Andrew Wommack does have a lots of teaching that His been helpful to me.He has also said some things I dont agree with. You should separate the meat from the bones with any ministry, even this minstry....I would not form a theology on one verse, or my own experience but the full truth of Gods Word.....
Our time would be better spent praying and seeking God's heart..and aligning our will with His.
God is more concerned about lost souls than distractions the enemy sets like this, and politics to name a few.
If we are concerned about our brothers and sisters who attend a Church different then pray that God will allow you to befriend them and love them with the Love of Jesus....He is faithful.
I am 64 years old and have been a Christian 50 of those years. When I was younger I thought that God needed me to defend Him , mostly to people who were calling themselves Christians. I though was doing God's will I really was trying to defend God and His word..Never really worked..eventually God helped me to really see just how big He was and He is Big . He Just wanted me to be a bridge. To let me allow Him to love them to the Truth. I felt His love for them and it changed me forever. God is Love His Love is Holy and unconditional at the same time. I pray everyone would come to know His Love.

That's why it's really important to not use demonic translations of the Bible. What Paul spoke of in Galatians 4:13&14 is the same thing he spoke to Jesus about, which is the persecution he always had to face, which Jesus spoke of in Acts 9..what great things he will suffer for me...Paul was obviously beaten or wounded here, not sick, Christ paid for sickness in full, the fact that you believe God makes people sick or deformed means you don't know God. Not the God Jesus told us to call our Father. Luke 11:2...if you are evil and conceited and you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more God.

That Galations scripture you read must have been out of a new translation. Mine (KJV) doesn't say anything about "bodily illness". Once again man putting Paul on a pedestal when he himself said Appolos, Peter or i. so Paul never looked to be placed way up there. If you go on and read KJV, he says; if it were possible you would have plucked your eyes out. So after Je'sus talked about even looking upon a woman, with lust in your eyes He said "if thy eye offend thee pluck it out." Now here's Paul in a city where woman were worshiped , prostitutes were rampant across the city, i'd have to say Paul like Elisha was a man of like passions. That's why he wrote that. It was his thorn in his flesh. It also would explain away the fact that my God only does things half way, like when he healed Pauls eyes. I don't believe that every man can be healed, however i do believe that when God heals some one they're 100% healed. That's like trying to tell me that i'm justified by my faith in Christ (Gal. 2:16) when the exact translation is His faith. My faith didn't take my Messiah to the cross, His did.

Justin Peters, do you believe that Mark 16: 17-18 is the inspired Word of God? Do these signs follow you? If not, why? Didn't Christ say that these signs WILL FOLLOW those that believe in Him and are baptised in His name? So are you truly born of God? Is your calling to find fault with the brethren in Christ? Do the Scripture admonish by saying, 'Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.'
Why don't you do the work of preaching and teaching God's word instead? You might find grace to pull out some from the fiery furnace, instead of becoming a stumbling block to somebody or derailing somebody from faith. Remember, the just shall live by faith. And it is by faith that one overcomes the world. So don't kick against the goads, you will get hurt. Pray you receive wisdom and grace to walk in truth and holiness.

I'm not sure many people are aware of this, but the first year students in Charis Bible College are expected to commit to reading through the Bible their first year. I have heard it explained that too many graduates of bible colleges, even our seminaries, never even had to read through the Bible at all. Maybe Mike came out of a church pastored by one of those seminarians. Maybe Mr. Peters should be looking to seminaries and pastors, instead of young sheep. I mean, I guess he makes himself a judge, he should be in the ring with people of his weight division, right?
Frankly, I have as much issue with Mr. Peters trying to force an entire theology off of two verses, possibly (in my opinion) taken out of context, than with one person unable to deal with that type of presentation in real time, out of the clear blue. A very poor example to show "just what word-faith people are like."

What a ruse. Justin Peters - you are quite the item. I don't believe in word-faith either but I would not be doing what you are doing, going into someone's else's house(so to say) and make all kinds of accusations. Your interaction with "mike" is wholly unhygienic to say the least. First off, "mike" does not represent Andrew. He is just a visitor there, just like you. You did not know what his background or belief system is, but just assumed he wholeheartedly believed in the prosperity gospel. He was reading 1 kings. You spring him Ex 4:11, Gal 4:13-14. Sorry, but no one buys it, least of all me. Mike was probably wondering what you are saying with those scriptures, and is there any relation with 1 kings. Obviously, there was not. You did not establish the reason for your interaction, neither did you make any attempt to get his viewpoint of where he was coming from, regarding word-faith. Mike not reading the scriptures out loud does not mean he is physically dumb, neither him staring at his bible means he didn't read it. He possibly read it, wondering why a bearded stranger in a scooter on a carpeted floor just randomly accosted me and spoke about 'mute, deaf or blind.' Seriously, he would have wondered if you were smiting him with these. No Justin, clearly you are out of your depth. You seem sincere, but you say it was 'revealing'? Random person in the lobby gave revelation about what?..That you are doing right according to God, springing up on people's private time. I am disappointed that you being far more educated than him - could not say a single encouraging word to the young man, and more so, no good word about another fellow preacher.
You possibly walked away steaming jealous of the campus(Yes I am very familiar with it), you obviously having not a iota of it. You sir, are a sad, sad man. May God catch up to you, when you least expect just like you did "mike" and teach you a lesson you won't forget. But I want to yes, Jesus did pay for our healing - but we’re bot guaranteed it this side of Heaven. God’s church will receive that blessing in full when Christ comes and brings about the new heavens/earth. But our primary concern is our sins against a holy God. We have rebelled against God and are deserving of His just wrath - but God in love has sent His Son to live the perfect life under the Law that we could not live; Jesus died in the cross to satisfy the wrath of God on our behalf to atone for our sins. Your religious, negative, devisive spirit is heartbreaking. You exemplify hypocrisy at its best. What you are doing is wrong and unbiblical. You hand pick verses, even out of context, to make a point you want to make. There are many verses contrary to your point but it is obvious you are not interested in truth. This is nothing short of being a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Regarding "Mike".... do you know anything about him? Could he have been a new Christian, or even saved from a life of drugs or abuse. Who are you to say God did not send Him there to go to school. You, who have apparently studied the Bible and still take it out of context, condemn a young man you know nothing about. Do you feel more spiritual because you found what you think to be fault in this young man. Your messages are repulsive and heartbreaking. May God open your eyes, mind and heart to His love and His truth. I grew up in SB and Bible churches my whole life. When I heard Andrew's teaching in 2019, my life was changed forever. And yes, I went to Charis. I'm not an ignorant, uneducated person and you might paint people. Andrew has such a heart for the Lord. He is genuine, Godly and generous. You deserve to be sued for your slander but that is not Andrew's character. He stays focused in hearing God, not getting derailed by hate speech. So much of what you are saying about Andrew is being misinterpreted just like you are doing with God's word. You are missing the heart and context of both. I am grateful for teaching that taught me the true nature of God and who I am in Christ. I love God now in ways I never thought possible. No, we do not see ourselves as "little gods" as you state in another msg. We understand it is the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. We didn't get a fraction of Holy Spirit, we get all His fullness. It is He who works in and through us, not we ourselves. You seem to come from the religious spirit that has a form of Godliness but lack and deny the power.
I do not consider you a brother in the Lord as you are causing division, spreading false information, passing judgment and valuing your opinion over the word. You are hurting the name of Christ. Only God knows the damage and division you have and will cause. One day, you will give an account of all these videos. May that trouble you at night. I realize you probably think you are justified in such action, but perhaps you need to read the word with you in mind instead of reading it condemn others falsely. Even Saul thought killing Christians was in the name of God. Jesus was merciful to him and he became Paul. May you, as Saul, have a Paul moment. Only God knows what that would require, but I wish it for you.

@@raymatthews4319 bewitched is a sad but good description! Thank God for His grace to build His church in His way and His time!

This is so underhanded, to go into another pastors flock, to try to convert others. You need to go to the scriptures and inquire how the church is to do things decently and in order. Also, to say you hope what you had to say to this man you call Mike, will haunt him…is like pronouncing a curse upon him, along with fear and condemnation…Also, you misrepresented yourself at the bookstore when you deceptively didn’t reveal yourself to the girl at the counter. Half truths are lies…and the word says…Rev. 21:6-8 ”and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Jesus said, “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees” and “first take the log out of your own eye, so that you may see clearly to take the sliver out of your brothers eye”…..”love your neighbor as yourself”…🙏for understanding.

So called 'mike' did not have enough bible study. maybe a young christian. Not so kind to take him as an example.Everybody can be healed. God didn't leave me because of my believe in miracles and healings. HE is blessing me every day and more souls come to Jesus and become diciples and do the same.....FRUITS. Justin Peters is putting a lot of energy in talking bad about other people.
