Wow! So good looking and soooo interesting!! I don’t think I’ve ever had sourdough as a crust. They had a ton of options here! Great find and well done ☺️☺️👍👍👏👏
Now that's a unique but good looking pizza! As y'all know I'm a simple pepperoni pizza guy but the Chesapeake pizza caught my attention and didn't sound bad either! Yes I agree I could make a meal off the Cheese Bread Tracks alone and that red sauce looked good and thick and not watered down like some sauces! Thanks for sharing my friends!
Loved the music in the video, David does a wonderful job of narrating, and it's nice to see the little bed checker back today, and the wife and I hope her school work is going good ! That menu is quite extensive, that cheesey bread had my mouth watering. That pizza looked great and so much cheese, the sourdough crust was different. The devour was pretty cool, liked the train tracks outside. Reminded me of the movie the Blues Brother, where Jake and Ellwood lived right next to the tracks in Chicago. That's for another great video, God Bless 👍🏈🦡
Thank you for all your kind words. It means so much. The location is downtown Richmond and this restaurant is a major part of this area. Not sure if the video really showed just how big this place is. Carly loved the cheese bread! Carly has had a great start to school. She is an FFA.officer this year and is enjoying that. After we ate we went to Spirit Halloween., which Carly enjoyed. David does do a great job with the narrating. Hope you have a great weekend!
That looks like some good pizza. I would have guessed Chicago style pizza. It looks like a good local family pizza parlor place. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Your order looked totally amazing and delicious. I also liked the amount of cheese. It seems that some places skimp on the cheese. The cheese element is a big part of the main event.
This one had me seriously LOL! I was treated here years ago for my birthday by my GF and some of my colleagues. One of my first after becoming a "recycled bachelor". It was such a well-kept secret that I didn't know something was up until I was getting dressed and couldn't find my keys. My lady goes and says, "I'll use my keys and drive since they are my keys." (Yes, I had a "designated driver". I wish more people would do that! That was the first inkling I had that something was up as my birthday was the following day. I knew it was a sacrifice for her as she found my Hummer H3 to be a handful to drive. She had taken my keys as she knew that if I drove, I wouldn't drink at all.) I have to say that this is a great party place! The staff really got into the party spirit! Because this is a family channel, I'll omit the content. However, we were all having a really good time. My "significant other" of the era and I had the Meat Master on the thin crust. Sometimes, a thin crust isn't up to the task of "supporting" the toppings. It was here. I was impressed by the freshness of the toppings. Did you find the Mozzarella particularly robust? I had a feeling that it was from buffalo milk. (Let's just say that asking the origin of the cheese was not among my highest priorities by that point!) One thing missing from your excellent review that I hope you get to try next time around (Which I strongly advocate.) is dessert. The two of us split a Creme Brulee. This was memorable.. As was the whole evening! One suggestion for your opens and closes when the noise level is too high is to turn on the captions. Great review. And, nice to see that quality can stay consistent after almost a decade. TNX for the laughs and God Bless!
John, We didn’t realize you were such a wild man back in the day! lol Enjoyed your story that you shared. No way we had room for dessert but would have loved to try it. Hope you have a restful Labor Day weekend.God Bless!
@@vafunseekers That was for a "milestone" birthday. My 60th. And, let's just say that there are things one can't do as easily at that age as they can at 20. And, I'll leave it at that! (Toby Keith had a good song about such...) One thing perhaps worthy of comment in your review would've been the parking. When we went (Late January. Now you know roughly when my birthday is!), we had to park on-street about two blocks away. Not that much of a problem when it was merely cold. But afterwards, it was colder and pouring rain! What had been a nuisance was now misery. We were soaked to the skin by the time we got to the car! Despite having operated "TI1ON/W4", I was shivering. The best line of the party was when our server took our drink orders. After ordering her "sparkling water with a twist of lemon", the waiter told my GF, :"Madam, I'm going to have to card your father." Her, "He's not my father" was a classic reversal of the usual situation! The resulting laughter was the real beginning of the party. The table next to ours had a bachelorette party. And, of course there were the obvious jokes between the two parties! Six months later, we celebrated another "milestone" birthday. Hers. Just the two of us. We stayed closer to "home", L'Auberge Chez Francois. Which birthday? It was her... 30th! And yes, she got carded! Getting old only means the adventures change. Not the adventure itself! Having a quiet weekend. God Bless!
@@johnpinckney4979 Time does change everything. Parking wasn’t an issue for us but I think you are right that it could be an issue at night when they are booming.
Thank you so much! Miss Toby so much. We have been fans since he first came out in 1993. BTW we are hoping to get to Mama Possums soon. Thanks for watching! 😀
i guess people should know, so im not just painting with broad strokes... what i heard from 3 people who worked there at different times (different decades even) was that the bread was all pre baked days in advance, and it was policy to brush the mold off, and use the moldy crust anyhow... really wouldnt recomend this place... the we sell slices place up the street is pretty good, and picollas at harrison and main has always been very good. i wouldnt eat at bottoms up tho.

It was absolutely delicious! It’s definitely worth a trip back to Richmond for us. 😋
Looks fantastic! I like a thicker crust.
Are you a Chicago Pizza fan? Thanks for watching!
Yes. I love the extra sauce.
Looks great. Will have to try it when we are in the area.
Definitely try it out. Interested in what you think. We think it’s a pretty good pie! 🍕

The Pizza did look 👍 thanks as always 👍
It was delicious! You are welcome! Appreciate you!
Ty for the review. If you come back here please try the thin crust. The pizza you had reminds me of Sicilian style. I’m a Ny style myself.😊
I had the thin crust pizza here years ago., Excellent!
I’m a NY pizza lover too. Will definitely try it next time. Thanks for watching. ❤️🍕
That pizza looked fabulous!! I love a good pizza and I think y’all got a great one! Do believe I’d like a “Richmond pizza”.
It was so tasty! As good as the pizza was the cheese bread was even better. Yummo! 😋
I love their crabmeat pizza !
David probably would enjoy the crabmeat pizza. He is such a seafood and pizza lover. Thanks for watching!

I love your shirt Toby Keith did u see his special on the other day August 28 ?
Yes I did. I thought all the artists did a great jiob! But it made me so sad at the same time. His death really hit me hard.

worst pizza in rva. i've heard horror stories from people who worked in their kitchen.

It’s pretty gross to think that the business would brush mold off and serve the bread to its customers.
Thanks for watching.
