HOI4 terms for EU4 players: Summon the diet = Choose focus tree Seize land = boost party popularity Hire free companies = mass recruit 1 width division Monopoly setting = build factories everywhere Set ideas = choose designer/political advisor
Hoi4 looks really complicated, but most of it feels like a flowchart throughout any way of playing. MP is more complicated though, but basics will see you through any campaign or mod. Build civs, then mils, always have army doctrine researching, build 7-2 infantry/artillery divisions, build 14-4 if you have manpower and equipment to spare. Build medium tanks if you have the industry for it, et cetera. You'll become adept in no time!
Your first building should be a level 10 port in your holdings near Beijing because otherwise, supply flows all the way through Korea and Manchukuo which severely limits your capabilities in China and slows you down. Mainland China doesn't have very good ports or terrain to support lots of divisions, especially 40 widths.
@@emirefebozkurt8324 Extra infastructure building is wasted in return for building valuable civs or mils. The better the port level the higher your supply, so there is no loss in building a level 10 one/.
So are naval ideas actually worth it when playing Japan? Should I build more galleys or heavy ships? Should I take Influence ideas to keep Manchuko loyal?
You kinda forgot about templates.. 40 width horse template + support MP makes you get compliance super fast Also you could add arty to your main divisions + aircraft/navy templates are important
Tbf the main concern of gun and arty deficit because you have too many division early. I just go 1. 24 20 width pure infantry to border shanxi. Its main function is to farm xp 2. 16 40 width infantry-arty to border main china. This is the main dish 3. 10 40 width infantry-arty or marine-arty to wreck havoc in naval invasion of Shanghai. There is no need to border river in Manchuria because if you are not smooth-brain, China cannot go offensive on you Remember the wise man said "this game is all about air war", so I recommend to assign 5 industry to CAS and no to fighter early on because china has no IC to build aircraft And the research of catapult plane is a waste because the main killer of sub isn't navy, but tac bomber or naval bomber I don't want to diss you, I really respect you because you helped me alot in EU4, I just wanna help to more META
I've been playing HOI4 for 2 or 3 years now. I don't get rolled or break my nation but man am I bad. Stalemates on frozen fronts. Having a lot of fun being bad tho
In addition to your airforce preparations you can place you carriers near the chinese coast an put close air support on them to fight in China. They do not get any debuffs because of range, so they are 100% efficient.
hey man, with your tactic of 15 divisions holding the front line, well they didnt hold. Eventually the chinese just broke through and even overun my 40 widths that were retreating. I had no planes or airfields to support either. Also i was never able to land on china like you did. Even when some naval invasions ended up landing, they were met with a death stack of 10 width divisions that didnt allow to progress and that led to me losing some 500k manpower and some of my best divisions...
What you can do: Build land defenses around the northern border so your troops can fend off the Chinese. Wait a little till China concentrates all their force at the border and then do the naval invasions and try to make the beachheads fairly large as long as there is low resistance. With good supply chains and organization as well as artillery, the chinese will slowly cripple under the pressure.
pt2 would be great - Navy is always a pain in the arse to deal with in HOI and I usually just ignore it until like (really) late game (as in like if I play until like 48 or somethn which is rare), build completely maxed out ones whilst I use a navy I stole from one of the Naval powers to do what I need.
You should also set your cruisers and battleships to hold and place them on a tile, that borders a land-tile where fighting is happening. You should do this when naval invading as well, especially then. When you do this, the ships will support your ground troops my naval bombarding the enemy
After watching a few guides on different countries out of curiosity this is the first video that I can respect. Most of RUclipsrs that post Hoi4 don't know shit and just claim knowing it all. Good guide. You know your shit man.
Quick tip rather than splitting up the fleets for training gg just shift click on the training button cuz it will only train the ships up to level three
Also puppets can be useful in hoi but they’re nowhere near as good as in eu4 cuz in you there army is just a nuisance as it is full of rubbish divisions that starve supply and so I would rarely if ever puppet China in single player ofrubbish
Bro this is not bad at all, i recommend you to see taruour (polish guy) he do chalanges and things you many get the idea. Please change the tank divisions. You are very good at navy in hoi4 do those or make a complete video on navy. Anyways i like your eu4 videos a lot.
Hey ludi tried your strategy with the new no step back and bascilly all of the coast of china is super protected it is actually quite hard to attack which was not the case in previous version they have unit on everysingle province even if you do a several front attack. Any advice for the new update? Thanks
i mean make fall back line in manchuko, naval invade in the area you own near Beijing, kill off like 50+ divisions, rush in, done and dusted, within the year.
@@magic5101 i specifically said it was to kill china fast, for example lets say you want to kill japan and china fast, you can accomplish what i said within the year and murica within the second year, so by 38 you have either 2 puppets with ridiculous MP or you have huge land.

Hoi4 content is cool! But could you do some modded content maybe? It could be more unique and fun, and still apply to base hoi and eu4. Anbennar for eu4, and KR/OWB/RT56/TNO for HOI4! Again, it's a lot to ask for, but you could do general tips with those fun mods to spice it up!
I managed to invade china in 1937 with only 8 hours of gametime, And won both the land and sea battle consecutively, The rule is always strike quick before the chinese get to build their armies and navy
I trained the 7th, 9th,4th,5th division at the Spanish war before returning them back to the mainland to take care of China, this move probably benefits me the most rn
How can you set up like 4 naval invasions when I could only do 1? I looked online and someone said that some countries only have a certain amount of invasions they can do at the start of the game so how can you set up 4? Maybe I messed something up but can someone help me.
You can setup unlimited naval invasions. Whats limited is the amount of divisions u can assign to said invasions. U can at start assign max 10 divisions and later after u get the right tech can assign more. Make sure u dont assign 10 divs to 1 invasion cause then obviously u cant do more than 1. Select 1 div per invasion tile when u make them

Really didn't help (Im new) the part about managing the parts that are untrained and trained really made me confused, like how?
Light tank recon companies with LT2 are extremely good against China. Armor bonus on basically all your troops for 3-4 factories.
