Seems like opportunity is there when you have money. I graduated from CS in 2023 and the market is so BAD. I interned at a company with a placement offer but they revoked in very last minute for cutting costs. There are very few job listings where I have to apply alongside experienced folks who were laid off. Now that there’s recession again, i have no idea what to do. There’s nobody earning in my family right now and I have to take care of my sick grandma. What do folks like me do at this point?
That sucks, I'm very sorry to hear that. In 2016 I went from no LinkedIn, to creating a LinkedIn, optimizing it, and having recruiters reaching out in a month. I got a top SEO job not long after. In regards to "having opportunity when you have money" - people will stop organic marketing as well. And that creates opportunity for those who do organic (free/low cost) marketing through the hard times. (So now is a great time to start a social media brand where you post videos daily (see ruclips.net/video/avWYynYI53I/видео.html)) or an SEO brand where you're competing with less active organizations. But at the very least you could optimize your LinkedIn like I did and have recruiters reaching out. Hope this helps.
