Your review is one of the Much Better ones, thank you. A few questions if you might? What is Doogee's record of updates, how many years of support have or do they give? It looks like the Thermal camera is a fusion or mixed with the normal camera to create an interpolated higher actual pixel count than the thermal camera which I believe is around 350 x 250 pixels, other phones before the V20 did this, does that sound about right? Thanks a lot! Someone in a previous video contacted Doogee and they said they'd provide at least 2 years of security updates but I can't say for sure if that's for every product or not. @@AndroidAddicts No, it's a setting that's in the regular screen settings for Android. I would love to get the V20, but only if the colors are correct or can be set to the warmer yellower colors through the "color temperature" slider, if it exists for their version of Android.
Ah I see. Well There's a "Screen Color Mode" which lets you choose "Standard, Vivid or Cool Color". There's also a "Color correction" setting which lets you enable color correction for different Correction modes (Deuteranomoly (Red-green), Protanomaly (Red-green), Tritanomaly (Blue-yellow) or Greyscale. I've just double checked with the samples I took and the outputted files (both photos and videos) are at 1080x1440 resolution but only at 1.6MP. So the number of megapixels are what matter most in this instance...
Don't spend your money on this device, I'll give you the reasons why. 1 the front camera has excessively yellowish tones, the main rear camera even takes good photos, but when we zoom in on the photo the quality is the most horrible it can be, in night mode both the front and main cameras lose a lot of quality and They are very grainy, the device's screen, despite being AMOLED, is exaggeratedly saturated, the Radio application does not work correctly, the only update that Doogee has available, does not even correct any of these problems. I've had the device for 2 months and every day I like it less and feel robbed by the Brand. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND, AS THE DEVICES ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY THE BRAND CHARGES. Here is the advice given.
I wanted to buy one of these but what you said were all in my mind even without using it. Its a truth since i have a never seen any chinese brand phone which does not have any flaws.. always cheap meterials..
Most buyers won't care for most your points, but a) if you want cameras, stick with major brand flagships b) it was a disgrace that they marketed as "30x more thermal pixels than the competition", when Infiray PX1 came out they did not dare be so misleading c) it's stuck to Android 12 in 2024, and that settles it really, don't buy!
@@germank7924 Yes true indeed , at the time when i buy it , i had a lot of hopes for this one , but damned what a mistake i'ved done and Lost a lot of money... My bad, not again, the realy ones that i like it of the brand was the S68 and the first version of the S96. But unfortunaly later with some updates from the brand issues start to set on both phones.
The phone is not as tough as it seems I broke the screen twice already. I'm very disappointed. After changing the screen the screen the phone never functions properly. I am using it with the hairline crack in the middle. Problem with these phones you can't get parts right away and have to wait weeks. I'm almost tempted to buy a mainstream phone because of that problem. I bought a rugged phone thinking it will last but it doesn't. My BlackBerry never broke a screen.
I already have a doogee v10 device, was very happy with it but the one and only thing i had to compromise was the unavailability of OIS/EIS STABILIZATION 😢 i would have given them 10/10 but due to the lack of video stabilization im afraid i will not buy doogee anymore 😢
I've seen the cheaper Chinese phones improve a lot over the years and I believe we'll see more improvements as time goes on (such as OIS). Interestingly I'm starting to see some EIS modes being introduced (such as on the Doogee T30 Pro) so it is coming but we have to be a bit more patient for OIS I think
Great video! Can the phone take a regular RGB photo at the same time it's taking a thermal photo? Flir cameras do this by default, I was wondering if the Doogee V20 Pro could do it too using one of the adjacent lenses to the thermal sensor.
Thanks a lot! I can't see a way of taking both at the same time - only PIP mode which has both in a single image. It is a cool idea though and wonder if the next iteration might have that feature...
It can take 2 photos at the same time, sorta. It actually takes both every time, but I can't separate them yet, I just got the phone. The RGB camera adds shapes and definition missed by the thermal cam. You can blend the mix between the two, and have a choice of the RGB photo used just for the shapes or as a regular pic with thermal added. Best thing is after the photo is taken you can change the mix, colour pallet, temp targets etc. You could screen shot it at that point and have just the RGB, just the thermal or a blend. The viewing app for the thermal pics is more than just a gallery, you have lots of control as if you are taking the picture again. I wish I could substitute the IR night vision camera for the RGB camera.

But it can be charged wirelessly.
Can V20Pro be charged wirelessly too?
Sadly the V20 Pro doesn't have wireless charging
This phone is monster
Agreed!
Hi, it support call recorder?

Honestly the photos don't look that good, out of focus and not very sharp
It could be the operater!
what thermal image real resolution
On the site it says it's 1440 x 1080
@@AndroidAddicts you have reviewed it
can you please tell me
@@AndroidAddicts it can't be
1440 x1080
I've just double checked with the samples I took and the outputted files (both photos and videos) are at 1080x1440 resolution but only at 1.6MP. So the number of megapixels are what matter most in this instance...
I read somewhere it's a tiny1-C sensor and looking at infiray page it says 256x192 resolution
Hi, it support callrecorder?

@@AndroidAddicts around 50 meters is the best for long range
I am willing to sacrifice battery life for pocket weight.
You must try the night 🥱
