The fact that Sony's UI is such a complex mess deserves a down vote. He should start by suggesting that there are simpler cameras to operate.

Michael, I'm a professional speaker and educator and I can say without reservation that you have a gift for teaching. You move quickly through topics, you're exceedingly clear, and you know how to explain things in a way that works for both a beginner and an expert. Bravo. Keep up the good work!

    Dude, you are a prince.
As an adult who finally has the time and money to pursue a lifelong interest in photography, this is exactly the type of video that has value to me. Organized, logical, and also slow and thoughtful for someone who is also learning basic photography principals at the same time as learning a complex piece of kit- basic principals that are often taken for granted in other youtube camera tutorial videos for specific cameras- so this is a real breakthrough video for me. You are a true teacher, thanks man!

This is fantastic!!! I’ve had Nikons for years. I bought an early Sony mirrorless, and got frustrated because it was so hard to figure out, and happily went back to Nikon. Then I went to a full frame Nikon, and it really was a big, heavy camera. Not much fun to carry anywhere, and I found myself using it less and less. I thought I’d just use my cellphone, but it’s not the same as a DSLR camera. The a6400 has now been around for about 5 years, and I just bought one. I love the size and the weight! However, I hardly knew where to start, and I couldn’t find any good directions online until I came across your video. Thank you so much!!!

I went to a camera shop to play with this and see what it is like. The inability to touch the screen and change the settings was driving me crazy. I mean C-R-A-Z-Y! On my old camera I just touch on the screen on whatever I want to change and even drag the sliders left and right. I didn't realize how comfortable that is, before I tried a camera like that one that doesn't have it lol.

The issue with led and fluorescent lights is that they are in actuality continuous light sources, they just flash at a speed too high for our eyes to notice but depending on the shutter capture speed you can capture the harmonic between the light source blink frequency and the shutter capture speed. The fix is to change your shutter speed and compensate with the aperture or iso.
