    Aayla Secura was one of my most favorite Jedi and characters in Star Wars and I was sad that she died in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and I hope that she will be in Star Wars Tales of the Jedi because it would be awesome to see her past and life in the Jedi Order and maybe she had final words on Felucia with Commander Bly before he and the clone troopers killed her.

    admittedly, I only recently started reading star wars books, but that was probably my favorite thus far. Seeing the Inquisitorious, Vader, and Palpatine from an inquisitors point of view was spectacular. I always felt like the tv shows and movies didn't really portray Vader as all that intensely scary, but that book sure did. minor spoiler: I'm gonna type out the paragraph when she meets Vader for the first time. i just think how it is phrased is AMAZING. makes Vader sound so scary. "It was as if the air had been sucked out of the room, a door opening in the vacuum of space and drawing every living thing toward a grand emptiness that promised only death. When Iskat had felt Palpatine in the force, her body had ached to run. but whatever this endless void was, it threatened to drown her, freezing her in place, making her want to grab on to something solid and hold on for dear life."
    Vader is my favorite character and seeing him described in such an ominous way was awesome.

    I've known this for almost a year......suprised no one picked up on it until now......kind of threw me because I always believed Mirialan's were only able to be trained by one another, I reckon she replaced bariss offiee in the mission to Felicia and having felt aayla die across the way, Palps probably contacted her clone commander and gave her the same choice as iskat

    I think Seventh Sister was a good example of what Barriss would have become if she had truly turned to the dark and become an inquisitor, she is Barriss' best qualities reflected in a mirror of evil...even her love of children. Being in prison likely saved Barriss, as she had already lost everything and been thoroughly disillusioned with the Jedi, when Knightfall came the blow was blunted, and she was able to hold on to her inner light even through the darkness of the inquisitor training.

    For me Deliah S. Dawson is one of the reliable Star Wars authors that I know I will enjoy (although I have not read her Galaxy's Edge tie-in novel). It helps she consistently has given interesting backstories to women in the series (...that are usually killed off soon after) and as a part of those stories explored less examined parts of the setting.

    How the young Jedi who survived Order 66 were transformed is a mystery that LucasFilm has not dealt with enough. I think another reason for this is that Disney and mainstream productions keep the violence level low. Darth Vader's interesting and contradictory split self makes him very cruel to the Inquisitors. On the one hand, Vader sees these survivors as defeated Jedi and despises them. On the other hand, Vader hates them because they turned to the dark side in order not to die. When Sidious put Vader in charge of them, this turned into the darkest nightmare for the Inquisitors. The moment Vader felt a similar contradiction to the one he kept hidden and rejected within himself, this meant a terrible end for an Inquisitor. Unfortunately, with Reva Sevander / the Third Sister in the Obiwan Kenobi series, Disney also turned these facts about Vader and the Inquisitors upside down.

  • @geronimogarcia3553
    @geronimogarcia3553 3 дня назад

    Personally, I think the Inquisitor's Lightsabers being mostly uniform was a nod to the Jedi. With few exceptions, even during the clone wars, most Jedi used only a single standard lightsaber. Sure, they customized them to their preferred style and taste, but they were uniform in the basic sense. The Inquisitors were former Jedi, for the most part, so it stands to reason that they would feel more at home with a uniform style, considering the utter lack of individuality among Jedi. And while their blades did have some personal taste variations, they all followed the same double-bladed build. Plus, while Anakin wasn't the most "Uniform" of Jedi, he still used their baseline training model for the Inquisitors, just with a Dark Side slant.

    I loved this episode. I think the explanation is a very cool idea. The one thing that I dont like is when they bring back a decreased character. But telling a backstop of a fallen character, it expands the story. Ido have to say, I was very disappointed when they brought back Darth Maul. I mean he was sliced in half. Plus he fell a long way down, and cut in half. I loved his return, as his character was awesome. But given the way he was killed, I mean maybe his brother could have return his lifeless body. Mother Talzan maybe re animate him, as crazy as he was on his return, but 10 years cut in half living on rats and hate. That part could have, and should have been treated better.

    This is just my opinion regarding the inquisitors lightsabers, I honestly think they were designed and given to the inquisitors as a joke or a way to mock what they had once been. I mean, here you have the inquisitors feared through out the galaxy, a lot of whom were former jedi that said yes to becoming an inquisitor just to save their own skin. They were trained JUST enough in the ways of the dark side to be dangerous and then given these fancy looking red lightsabers. But, even though those who the inquisitors hunted were afraid of them when they saw the spinning lightsabers most of the hunted jedi almost seemed to pause for a bit and would give the inquisitors a look of like "WTF?!" before fighting them.

  • @Vort317545
    @Vort317545 3 дня назад +1

    Honestly, the whole concept of the Inquisitors turned me completely off to continuing a dive into the Star Wars lore as an old-time fan ever since the beginning. Only a fully trained Jedi Knight could take down a fellow knight. And that was Anakin/Darth Vader. The existence of Inquisitors also defeats the purpose of the Sith rule of two, does it not? Of course it does. No Sith Master would tolerate having a dozen sithlings running around. When I, the Inquisitor, was introduced, I simply threw up my hands and said enough. This is becoming ridiculously cartoonish. In my book, only Vader was powerful enough to hunt down and destroy any Jedi that escaped Order 66. And that would further cement him as the ultimate evil.

    • @sparkyzanimations
      @sparkyzanimations 3 дня назад +1

      I think a lot of the surviving Jedi were Padawans saved by their masters sacrifice. And Vader and palpitate couldn’t be bothered to hunt down weak Jedi. Plus most of the inquisitors died hunting the more powerful Jedi. They were expendable and Vader kept them in line. That’s just how I see it 🤷‍♂️

    • @thestanleys3657
      @thestanleys3657 3 дня назад +3

      The inquisitors aren't sith they receive zero sith training they are basically dark jedi /fallen jedi. You'd be more correct if you'd said Maul or Ventress bent/broke the rule of two
      And the inquisitors usually took down jedi survivors in pairs or small groups although most of the survivors of order 66 weren't that powerful or even old enough to reach knighthood

    • @wookietalks385
      @wookietalks385 3 дня назад +2

      Luke wasn't _fully trained._ Darth Plagueis basically tossed the Rule of Two in the garbage. They say Darth Vader losing his limbs made him weaker in the Force. He also still had some light in him, which is why he was redeemed.
      There are too many facets to the story to toss the whole idea aside. It makes the galaxy a larger place and stories like Barriss Offee's gives it more nuance. If you read the comics, Vader loved to torture his subjects and give them non-lethal wounds to make them suffer and bring out their anger, or wish they were dead, so Reva being stabbed _twice_ by him makes perfect sense that she would've lived.
      _But. But. But... Qui Gon died!_ Waaaaahhhh
      _He was too dangerous to be left alive!_

    • @ironinquisitor3656
      @ironinquisitor3656 3 дня назад +4

      The Inquisitors have been a thing in the old EU since the West End Game roleplaying guides in the 80s. It doesn't contradict the Rule of Two because just because I pick up a red lightsaber and use the Dark Side doesn't mean you're a Sith. Sith does not mean "any person who uses the Dark Side" any more than if was some random person who was Force sensitive and found a blue bladed lightsaber on the ground picking up that lightsaber and swinging it around wouldn't automatically be a Jedi. The Sith are a specific order of Dark Siders just like the Jedi are a specific order of Light Siders. The Inquisitors are Dark Jedi or Dark Acolytes, but they aren't Sith Lords.

    Star Wars is a perfect example why you never 'give' anything to the next generation. They don't value it and will never love it as much as you do. You can never learn to value the drive thru unless you first had to go inside and wait in line. Humans cannot value what they never earned and were just handed, which is all of us today. Our ancestors built our countries, died, and sacrificed everything so we can have what we have. And most people turn around and think they are "entitled" to it. They are owe. Disney will never love any of the properties they have bought over the years. All they see it as is a profit. A business move. They don't care about anything or how it came to be. When Lucas signed over the company, that was it. He saw the money first. A smart guy like him could never not think they were going to love and respect what he and all his employees built. Walt Disney would be disgusted by what Disney, his vision, his hard work, has turned into. If I owned a business, I would stop it before I died. I would never leave it to the next generation. People who don't earn or sacrifice for what they have can never learn to value it.
