Tchaikovsky. Waltz of the Flowers. A favorite of classical audiences, and every ballet dancer's worst nightmare. Before high school I had that 66 keys keyboard, too. I was playing "he is a pirate" with one hand and without chords. Then I lived far from family in high school times, in dormitory. Luckily there was an electronic piano in music room. I guess I spend more time in that room than the study hall in dormitory for 4 years. I remember when my dad would take me to a showing of the nutcracker every year around Christmas time. I remember how grand the theater was, the stage was huge and hearing the music and seeing the dancers made me so happy. It was always in the city, I remember walking back to the car in the cold foggy wether some years. I don’t have as good of a relationship with my dad as I did back then but I’ll always hold on to those memories. It was nice, hopefully I can see another showing next year or whenever I can.

When I listen to this, I imagine a nice cafe with people in nice fancy dresses and suits, holding menus with golden accents and cursive writing, matching the theme of the cafe. People are having nice chatters with some laughs and some dancing near the front of the room. There are people watching, sipping cups of tea while the smell of warm vanilla lingers about. This is just what I hear when I listen to the piece 😄

When I listen to this, I imagine a garden with lilies everywhere and a bee dancing among the flowers on her tiptoes to collect nectar to make honey on a peaceful spring day with the fragrance of tulips. Idk how to really explain how I feel it but it's so peaceful
Aww, this song brings me back memories from when I performed the Nutcracker with my old studio, the waltz of the flowers is one of the first dances I learned when I performed the Nutcracker for the first time when I was about 10 or 11 and this just brings me nostalgia.
My heart warms whenever I hear this. I do miss life as a kid. So careless, so free, so fun. Thanks Rousseau, this masterpiece played like how it's supposed to be ;))
so im in ballet (not that anyone asked) and im still learning (im not the best). we did our first dance show last month to this song and it went perfectly, and while we ran into the wings at the end, i broke down because i didnt think i could do it in front of hundreds of people. i have horrible stage fright, but honestly i focused on my grandma and i got through it. nothing went through my mind within that 5 minutes. and it was graceful. and im so proud of myself and my friends for doing that :3
Parts of this piece reminds of when someone is playing a harp. This is wonderfully performed, it captures the beauty of flowers and is overall amazing. But the way you played it was top-notch. Thank you for all the music you post, I love your channel and its so inspiring to me as a beginning pianist.
I would like to know one thing: why would some people dislike videos from such a pianist? Is it the way he plays? The song? Rousseau does not deserve dislikes.
It is Springtime again, The flowers blossom On the branches above, Celebrating new life When the wind blows Some of the flowers fall, Drifting down to the pond, And land softly on the water The flowers gently turn, Carried this way and that By the playful current, Edging toward the rapids Unable to escape, the flowers Ride the rapids, tumbling And turning, rising and falling, Splashed with the spray They slide past the rocks And under the overhanging Branches of the trees Growing along the river's banks Here the water is slower, calmer, They can come together again, River otters and birds watch As they float past them Until a little girl, wading in The shallows, reaches down to Pick up flower after flower, and Carries them back to her mother "Look, Mummy, what I found For you in the river," the girl says, And her mother smiles and says, "Thank you. They're very beautiful." "Don't you want them?" the girl asks, And her mother shakes her head And says, "It's like catching a fish -- It's better if you put them back in. That way they can be seen by Everyone who watches the river, Until eventually the flowers reach The waves of the distant ocean." The little girl puts the flowers back In the river; she waves as she watches Them float out of sight, closes her eyes And wishes them safe journey On their way downstream to the sea
A few days ago, I fell in love with this piece. The sweetest piece I have ever heard. Look, there are some birds flying around in the garden where is full of flowers. I dance the waltz in the center of the garden.
I used to have a doll that goes round and round at a music when switched on. It was really pretty, all clad in white, the music it danced with was the waltz of flower. How I love it! The doll was gifted by my elder sister, who recently is no more among us. I just love his song so much. It reminds me of all the time we spent together playing with the doll.
I had already been playing piano for forever but luckily I’m at the level where I can play pieces like this. So I’m actually happy I found it later in my piano life than sooner

EDIT: MY PARENTS TOLD ME THEY ALREADY HAVE SAVED UP FOR IT AND TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY. AND NO I'M NOT CRYING 😫
give me your contacts from any social media chanel please, maybe i can help you to get a 88 keys digital piano
Now I am playing piano for more than 8 years and I succeed to play chopin op64 no2 for example. I couldnt effort to a private lesson with a teacher but my sister was a lucky one to find a scholarship from a music school. After high school I was very lucky to buy a yamaha clp 320 second hand (with today's currency it was 200 dollar) and I had worked and saved almost all of this money. And this piano was the almost same with the one in high school. (It was clp 330). In these days I generally plays oogway ascends with imagine that astonishing sciene. "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called present" this is a little part of my story. I wish you luck for rest of your story. I believe that there is always a goodnes in hearts of musicians.

@@mustafamert8387 Great story! It feels good knowing you went a long way playing the piano. Keep it up! You know I kind of wish that my family can go to a music store and buy a full-range piano just like that *snaps fingers* . That's why right now I chose to learn pop songs, and wait 'til my parents tell me, "hey, we gonna go buy a full range digital piano now." I hope it's sooner tho but I can still wait. I'd be delighted to. I'm talkative so... pardon for the unnecessary things I've mentioned lol. I wish you good health! May you enjoy the rest of your story. You will be blessed. Ciao
Damn..... I feel bad for just having 5 pianos lying around my house now 😭😭 ..... ( I stopped playing for a tear already after playing for 12 yrs ( since I was 5 )
Beautiful, this is the original composer piano arrangement I presume... Its impossible for me to listen to this piece without What Remains Of Edith Finch popping into my head with that heartbreaking baby/bath scene.
I loved the scene for its music and innocence, but it has such a tragic ending

Hey, Rousseau. I really hope you’re doing alright due to this horrible situation. I would be really glad, almost reassured I dare to say, if you could at least post something saying that you are fine. You can take your time and remember you have a community that awaits and supports you!
Omer Abbara I have no idea, but right now there are many things going around the world. This was the first time that Rousseau went on a large period of time with no uploads without telling us.
I hope nothing happened, I’ve been obsessed with his videos the past few weeks. I just started playing at the start of Covid. Anyways, be safe 👍
I don’t know if it was a troll or not but he said “*And then Rousseau never uploaded a video ever again* 😛” on his discord server. Hope he’s just kidding tho

This is one of my favorite classical music pieces! You played it beautifully! Thank you ☺️
When I listen to this, I imagine a nice cafe with people in nice fancy dresses and suits, holding menus with golden accents and cursive writing, matching the theme of the cafe. People are having nice chatters with some laughs and some dancing near the front of the room. There are people watching, sipping cups of tea while the smell of warm vanilla lingers about. This is just what I hear when I listen to the piece 😄

Aww, this song brings me back memories from when I performed the Nutcracker with my old studio, the waltz of the flowers is one of the first dances I learned when I performed the Nutcracker for the first time when I was about 10 or 11 and this just brings me nostalgia.

so im in ballet (not that anyone asked) and im still learning (im not the best). we did our first dance show last month to this song and it went perfectly, and while we ran into the wings at the end, i broke down because i didnt think i could do it in front of hundreds of people. i have horrible stage fright, but honestly i focused on my grandma and i got through it. nothing went through my mind within that 5 minutes. and it was graceful. and im so proud of myself and my friends for doing that :3

I can just imagine the dewdrop fairy and her flowers gliding gracefully across the stage... Bravo, Rousseau!
Parts of this piece reminds of when someone is playing a harp. This is wonderfully performed, it captures the beauty of flowers and is overall amazing. But the way you played it was top-notch. Thank you for all the music you post, I love your channel and its so inspiring to me as a beginning pianist.

I can imagine a garden full of flowers. And there's Olaf jumping around then sniffing them all.
the delightfully sweet melody at 03:35 my heart gets butterflies after listening to it
I would like to know one thing: why would some people dislike videos from such a pianist? Is it the way he plays? The song? Rousseau does not deserve dislikes.
Some people disliked the video so that other piano videos like this will not be recommended in their feed.

It is Springtime again,
The flowers blossom
On the branches above,
Celebrating new life
When the wind blows
Some of the flowers fall,
Drifting down to the pond,
And land softly on the water
The flowers gently turn,
Carried this way and that
By the playful current,
Edging toward the rapids
Unable to escape, the flowers
Ride the rapids, tumbling
And turning, rising and falling,
Splashed with the spray
They slide past the rocks
And under the overhanging
Branches of the trees
Growing along the river's banks
Here the water is slower, calmer,
They can come together again,
River otters and birds watch
As they float past them
Until a little girl, wading in
The shallows, reaches down to
Pick up flower after flower, and
Carries them back to her mother
"Look, Mummy, what I found
For you in the river," the girl says,
And her mother smiles and says,
"Thank you. They're very beautiful."
"Don't you want them?" the girl asks,
And her mother shakes her head
And says, "It's like catching a fish --
It's better if you put them back in.
That way they can be seen by
Everyone who watches the river,
Until eventually the flowers reach
The waves of the distant ocean."
The little girl puts the flowers back
In the river; she waves as she watches
Them float out of sight, closes her eyes
And wishes them safe journey
On their way downstream to the sea
Wow... Honestly, this is probably the best poem I've ever read.
Yeah that's actually pretty cool
