Premiere: July 8, 2023.
After a brutal surprise attack by the forces of Quincy King Yhwach, the resident Reapers of the Soul Society lick their wounds and mourn their losses. Many of the surviving Soul Reaper captains train to battle without their Bankai, the ultimate technique wielded by the fiercest warriors.
In the previous assault, Ichigo Kurosaki narrowly managed to help fend off Yhwach's fearsome wrath. However, to ultimately defeat his godly adversary and save his allies, Ichigo must now undergo severe training that will push him beyond his physical, emotional, and mental limits.
Though Yhwach already holds the upper hand in this ongoing blood feud, he also successfully recruits Uryuu Ishida, Ichigo's close friend and rival, to be his successor. Yhwach strikes out once again at the weakened Soul Society, intent on finally obliterating his long-standing enemies. As Ichigo struggles to attain new power, the Soul Reaper captains fight for survival and borrowed time.

this case he would have been fine if he didnt go against the one that is essentially one big AOE user. disrupted senses dont really help out against someone that just attacks everywhere around them at once.

In my opinion rukia's bankai was the best so far specially the appearance just need's back-up after she use's it so she doesn't fall apart
Oh, by far. It actually felt like a bleach bankai, not some akward, ugly, haxy overpowered blood war shit. Like, it truly felt like actual bleach. And it was still powerful enough to be relevant, but not in a terribly cheap way. Felt like a real shinigami had returned to whip these fanfiction asses

Shinji plan was so good: make enemy desperate with shikai, forcing them to call for help than go bankai and they kill each other. Sad Kubo is troll and put him against only enemy with 360° spheric AOE.
If Rukia ever learns to use her Bankai without the self-freezing she would be OP ❄️
She would have to develop resistance to absolute zero for that to happen.

So in the epilogue she is described as having mastered her bankai, which implies that the self freeze isn’t a big issue anymore.

She does master it and becomes a captain.
Much like a number of other Bankai, Byakuya's was simple his Shikai on a larger scale. Losing his big super move helped improve his base strength.
Tbf it was actual sharp petals vs optical illusion from micro blades, but they work almost the exact same(aside from hiding the blades in arm for surprise attack)

Renji's true power of he's Zabimaru bankai with Renji's theme song was my favourite moment of this Thousand year blood war when he defeated Super Star and Bambietta Baspertine was really beautiful, it's sad what happened to her. 😢❤

I was always a fan of powers and abilities that affected the senses of people, not powers that mean more power = more destructive capabilities.
Shinji's Bankai is my favorite. I believe that not everything has to be about but around strategy as well.

@@TheSakuraTree He can't act when he releases his bankai. The protective flower his bankai creates shields him from being affected by the poisoned gas that creates the illusions
Such a shame shinji keepts getting shafted by kubo.
His ability can literally isolate people in the war and then take them on or lead people toward each other and then activate bankai to fight each other.
Shinji's main problem is that he gets WAY too overconfident when his ability hits a target. He thinks that there's NOTHING they can do to fight back...except there sometimes is. Shinji's Zanpakuto has some weaknesses:
1) AOE Attacks: As demonstrated, if the opponent has the ability to basically nuke everything around them, it's a hard counter to Shinji's Shikai, and a soft counter to his Bankai (if it's just a 1v1 scenario, the friend/foe swap won't really work, as he needs to have multiple opponents to trigger that against).
2) Abilities that surpass his own: When shown with Aizen, Shinji was already under Kyoka Suigetsu from the start of the fight, so his entire repertoire was rendered useless as he had zero idea he was attacking basically nothing. Aizen has also categorically stated that as long as a person has sufficiently powerful reiatsu, they can nullify the abilities of their opponent's techniques, as he showed with Soi-Fon's Nigeki Kessatsu.
3) He CANNOT stop talking: Yes, when his Shikai is active, it inverts his target's...everything, really, so it makes them incapable of properly understanding what he's talking about...but any allies that may be in the area? He's just given them a detailed breakdown of, and precise understanding of, how his Shikai/Bankai works, its abilities, effects, etc. Which is simply superb for anyone looking to defeat him/counter his abilities. Even if he didn't talk, dude gets WAY too cocky when he thinks he's in the clear. I get wanting to taunt, but do so from a safe distance. His ability is NOT as hax as Aizen's is, not even in the same ballpark, so he can't monologue like this without expecting some sort of possible blowback. A smart person would realize that and immediately capitalize on this massive advantage by severing their opponent's head from their shoulders, then go help the other Shinigami who are DYING in the middle of a WAR, not brag about how Bombietta is going to so, like, totally die, lol.
@sergeantassassin3425 technically aizen can still get caught in shinji's shikai or bankai cuz its an aoe effect. If the real aizen is still around. Which he probably wouldn't but still.

There's a problem. This is a battlefield and people of both sides are here. The shinigamis can end up killing themselves. The Bankai is very dangerous, to the point that it cannot be freely used since it can kill the for and friends as well
In his defense he did try to get Bambietta to call for her friends, had they arrived they probably would have killed each other after activating his bankai

Shinji bankai is for NPC, his shikai is way more usefull for big enemies. He would not be alone against the sternritters, would be a problem for his allies too.
Iirc, if someone has enough reiatsu it wouldn’t have affected them. So while he might’ve been able to affect them before the auschwalen (after all Nimiaya destroyed them all mostly single-handedly with a super sharp zanpakuto), after they got their armor plot power up, they probably would’ve been able to resist it.

It's a bit odd that they never used these before now when they would have been incredibly useful like in the battle against Aizen and the Arrancar.
They didn't have them or in Shinji's case it would have been a detriment since there were fellow soul reapers around in the fake town fight and they would have also flipped who they saw as friend and foe. Also even if it was just shinji in fake town fight against the arrancars, Aizen would have mopped the floor with everyone (maybe except Gin, gin for sure wouldn't have seen aizen or arrancars as enemies under Shinji's bankai and aizen might not have seen him as enemy either) then kick the asses of the woul readers when they showed up after shinji ended his bankai.

Otherwise your just making stuff up that wasn't the case in the story to defend it. Didn't Renji have his ever since the soul society arc as he trained to obtain Bankai back then. Also the reason Shinji didn't use his before now is pretty weak as the locations of allies and local geography of this battle against the Quinces isn't too different from when they were fighting the Arrancar in the fake town so if he could use it now, he should've used it then. The issue isn't whether they could beat Aizen but the fact that they in retrospect held back against him and didn't use their best weapons/capabilities against him and the Arrancar when (according to this latest story arc) they could have done so and should have done so.
@@edwardmillard4398the reason that Shinji didn't use it in FKT arc is that his Bankai might affect his own allies and cause them to fight eachother (Remember Shinji went straight to fighr with Aizen while the other captains are around). As for Renji, he still haven't unlock his true Bankai at that time. So he can only use half of Zabimaru power.

Explaining a zanpakto’s power power makes it stronger and more effective. Urahara explained it to Ichigo while he was training him. We all know it was just a writer’s excuse to explain an ability.

Sajins bankai still sucked. At best, it was faster…but it gained nothing. Id rather we kept sajin instead. It wasn’t worth it. Especially given he didn’t accomplish anything. I know people defend this by saying he had no other plot, but that’s lazy thinking. He had so much plot, and it never got explored.

they can't , because when they became capitains again , yamamoto forced them to never use their mask again
Although if you consider that he just died recently, the new commander could’ve/should’ve lifted that order unless the council prefers no soul society over a few ceros flying around.
@@adimiryane9577 sounds like a bad decision on Yamato's part. I know there was no way he could've predicted they'd face an enemy that could steal their bankai but it's always good to have more than one secret weapon. The boost might've helped Shinji getting blown up and Rose getting a star shaped hole in him. It was just a filler but the soul reapers faced an enemy that did a similar tactic to the point that even Yamato couldn't use his sword but Ichigo being a vizard is ultimately what gave them an edge in battle... like in most of the fillers now that I think of it
