    OK Tyler, Don't let off in a swap. Sounds wrong but I do tend to keep it pinned most of the time, firm believer in "When in doubt, Throttle it out". I can usually catch a swap and stop it but that is a momentum killer, next time I'll pin it. Didn't get the hang of whoops until I learned to keep my body centered over pegs and PIN it!! I ride a YZ125 so maintaining momentum is crucial. Thanks for posting. After I get my new MXF gear I'll work you guys into the budget.

    It would be awesome if you could do a video comparing tall (6ft+) riders to shorter riders. It seems like body position and posture are different for taller riders.... they end up with t-rex arms quite often. Shorter riders seem to have excellent body position naturally.
    Any advice for tall riders?

    How do I keep my back wheel straight

  • @UltraSS-nj8kd
    @UltraSS-nj8kd 5 лет назад +2

    Whoops are the slowest part for me just a slow gaining speed through otherwise it gets rough . I think better bike setup might be my ticket

    Thx I always get fish tailed in the woops

  • @jagertroop
    @jagertroop 5 лет назад

    Good stuff. This is an issue I’ve been trying to deal with with recently. My application is a bit different, being desert racing where our woops are inconsistent in size and spacing. Also, the sections are usually much longer (sometimes a couple hundred yards or longer). I find that the same principles apply. It is hard to keep gaining speed through them, being so long. Hell, I’ll be in 6th gear doing 70mph by the end if I have to keep accelerating.

    • @2wheelsoffroad730
      @2wheelsoffroad730 5 лет назад

      I have that same question too. Some sections of whoops are 2-3 miles where I ride. Can’t really accelerate through because like you said you’d be going stupid fast. I do a lot of heavy handed throttle action and clutch work to keep the front tire skimming the tops or bouncing off them. I don’t have any idea If that’s the best approach though

    Any tips for mid to taller riders? I'm only 6'1 and the seat seams too tall, pegs too high, and the bars too low. (AMATEUR)
    Also a backstory perhaps? How does someone get to that level? Besides obvious talent.
    I thought I was a good racer until I went two wheels. I no longer consider myself average.

    Look down the track don't look at the ground,how are u gonna wave to ur mom if u don't see her standing by the turn because ur looking at the ground,not good for ur balance...especially when ur on a moving dirt bike,I used to flag when I raced and most riders are looking down way to much and I'd almost have to hit them with the yellow flag to get they re attention to warned them too late...I also flagged the pro supercross racers for ten years and that is hard because the guys are not on the ground very often and when they are they are hard on the gas,always look ahead it is the number one rookie mistake don't be a geek...or a whoop,whoops are fun,relax no body panic...

    See the spelling u just made a wrong turn sonny an turn into an rode into the whoops...when u fall to the ground by accident u say whoops....guess why they are on our tracks some track designer thought they be cool to watch folks crash sell more tickets if u turn the corner an rode into the whoops ur done dont look here for sympathy an guidence u could a turn the other way but u headed for the whoops an now its the teachers fault bevause u cant handle the truth...whoops whoops....relax ur lucky u have a modern bike u d really be crying if u didnt
