No bassist in the history of Rock comes close to John in terms of originality of sound and uniqueness of style. He was simply the greatest Rock bass-player of all time.

Hey there!! Alycen Rowse here!! Great episode! Thank you for not calling me things I am not as many others still do!! Just a little bit about Dave CY Langston. He was more than just their roadie. He produced early Who albums and had known John since they were kids. Cy & John stayed as close as brothers til the day he died, as Cy was there. Also, Cy played in his own band for a while. He passed away three years ago. He was loved by many rockers and a legend among them. He is sorely missed. I just like people to know him for all that he was. Thank you again for being cool! Lots of love and light to you!!

He was such an amazing part of
The Who's unique and majestic sound. The horns on Tommy were what drew me in to be a lifelong fan at age 11. He had so many amazing talents as a musician and artist. Thank you for this great documentary about him. 🎸

Every rock bassist is Mc Cartney or Entwhistle in disguise - everything else followed from them. What a deadly competence you highlighted with brilliance in your video here . Quintessence 😉

Following John Entwistle's death in 2002, Pete Townshend said of his former bandmate, 'It wasn't until the day of his funeral that I discovered that he'd spent most of his life as a Freemason.'

I only saw him once and he scared me
Such a frightening presence.extremely loud. Such a sad death in a hotel in New Jersey. Put 125 people out of work. Immediately.

He had a heart problem that ended up taking his life. Autopsy proved he didnt have enough cocaine in his system to be the cause of his death. Yeah he did do some lines but not enough to cause his death. He would have died anyway even if he had not done any.

One doesn't abuse drugs. I used drugs. Pot and LSD. Don't make drugs a part of your life. No one's listening.

His bass lines made the songs. He, Geddy Lee and Geezer Butler are my favorites.
