We have a prg101m grinder pump. For some reason our entire home is ran to this before it goes to the septic tank. It seems like every year we have to have the plumber come out because it stopped pumping. Today they came out. There was a small amount of fabric that prevented it from working. I watch this video and I am amazed that this could be the case. It would just hum and trip the breaker (20A 115 V)

Thats normal for grinder pumps, they can shredd stuff when they are running, but if they shutoff and still have something to chew on they can not start against the resistence and they are blocked. Causing them to hum and trip the breaker.

This does not work! Our grinder pump clogs and shuts down when a paper towel goes in it.
