Yes. But his pump sounds like its being over worked. There are regulators you can get to regulate the pressure so it doesn't put extra force on the pump but that's a bit more complex and costly.
You basically hacked the o2 grow without using electrolysis. Couple of things though. It sounds like your pump is working too hard which will burn it out fast. And, I was thinking if you put the same fibre/foam piece on the end, like air bubblers have, it will cause those little bubbles to pile up and burst which means you'll get more oxygen into the water. Just a guess.

Injecting air into the pump does not risk to damage the pump itself ?
I was wondering the same thing myself. I would think the air bubbles would damage the pump vanes and cause it to fail prematurely.

Mas, coba dites, doang. Berapa kandungan oksigen larut dalam airnya? Bandingkan pompa yang sudah diubah suai ini dengan pompa biasa pakai DO meter.

Bedanya aerator konvensional sama yg model gini dari size gelembungnya. Jadi bukan utama banyak udara di pompa tapi seberapa kecil gelembungnya.
