As someone in Texas with a sister that just dealt with an ectopic pregnancy and had a doctor that delayed treatment to let it miscarry on its own only for her to end up in the ER twice afterwards, finally resulting in surgery to deal with a burst fallopian tube, PLEASE keep talking about this. It boggles the mind that these people want to call this the land of the free when they then exercise their opinions on women to keep them from freely seeking medical aid or even giving them a choice in the matter.

I’m sorry your sister went through that. Situations like that is exactly why I decided not to have a 2nd child. I have a higher risk of miscarriage and my state only recently got rid of the 1800’s abortion ban that was reverted to after roe ended. I don’t want to die because doctors are to afraid to help me because I’m not “close enough” to death. Sure the state I live in currently allows abortion, therefore I’d be ok in the case of a miscarriage, but that’s not a guarantee anymore.

I just had my 2nd six years after the first and I would really love to have more, but atp I won't because of women's Healthcare being last priority, and who knows what the country and economy will look like once Donald and Elon have it. Not Fun Fact: the interpretation of the 14th amendment that was originally used for upholding abortion rights in Roe v Wade is the same used in ruling regarding medical privacy for birth control (Griswold v Connecticut), same sex marriage (Obergefell v Hodges), desegregating schools (Bolling v Sharpe), and laws making private activity between consenting adults illegal (Lawrence v Texas). The Supreme Court overturning of Roe v Wade is about so much more than abortion and shows how little oversight the Supreme Court has been operating under. Most people aren't familiar with what the Supreme Court does because they get maybe a year of US Government taught in high school.
I hate how much I'm using my Philosophy minor in recent times, especially the course that was basically just reading Supreme Court opinions. I TOOK IT FOR FUN. THIS IS NOT FUN.

The problem with the reasoning that the issue was returned to the states is this. This country decided that the freedom and personal liberty of African Americans was not to be left to the states to decide, because this country waa enslaving them, killing them. The federal government amended the constitution and created a federal law outlawing enslavement. If we decided as a country that a black person is no longer 3/5 of a person in some states, but not others, but now saying it’s okay for some women to have more rights than others is astounding. If you can leave it up to the states to take body autonomy away from women, the next thing that falls under the right to privacy is marrying who you want to marry, being in a biracial marriage, and the list goes on. Think about all those protections we ALL enjoy as a right to privacy. You knock down Roe, it’s a slippery slope.

I've only gotten what I know about Jimmy Snow from this channel, but it'd be so funny if this is religious grift of Gabbie was the thing that finally made him call her out.
Also sad thing here is that Gabbie's one of the very small percentage of women in America who'll never have to worry about abortion laws. She's rich, if her state suddenly bans abortion when she requires one she literally has the money to move to a different state. I seriously hate how Gabbie is one of those kinds of rich people that try to act relatable to their (working class) fans and educate them on certain topics, but the way they speak is incredibly out of touch and condescending.

When the mid 1990s rolled around, street crime around the country began to drop significantly. Of course part of it was that the crack epidemic was ebbing, but they also found another interesting reason: because of Roe v. Wade, a bunch of neglected and unwanted and mistreated kids who would've turned into young adults around the early to mid 90s simply were not there.
Older Republicans think that sex (if you're a woman) should be punished, and that by "forcing" them to have a child they'll become respectable parents. For a party that wants to cut all kinds of social funding, I think it's ironic that they want all these unborn children to be born, destined to become dependent on welfare or either being fed and housed by the correctional system.

Truly cannot understand people saying abortion rights should be left to states. Why the fuck should healthcare depend on the state you live in, or where a teenager was born??? Also red states want to make it a felony to cross state lines to get an abortion, Texas was even proposing to charge the person who drove you to the clinic. AND republicans saying well obviously exceptions for rape and incest; certainly the perpetrator of incest would allow the victim to seek care, also society believes women who are victims right, they won’t berate a victim and call them liars bc they don’t have proof or say the evidence they have is fake and they’re lying just to get an abortion. It's not surprising considering how self-centered her perspective has always been, but g-d damn it's depressing. P.S. regarding books that are relevant to the Current Situation, I suggest The Will to Change by Bell Hooks. Literally everyone will benefit from how succinctly Hooks lays out the ways in which misogyny works to the detriment of everyone in society. It's a fairly quick but vitally important read. I think young men especially should read and really spend some time discussing the points it makes, because young men these days are particularly at risk of radicalization, and that book really effectively debunks a lot of the narratives present within the "manosphere".

It's people like her that have elected Trump in, whilst I am not American, I believe that abortion should be a countrywide right and not a decision to be left in the hands of the state. There are multiple reasons as to why someone might choose to have one, and restricting and flat out banning that right is effectively putting lives in danger. Ireland, a country that is made up of Catholic people (well mostly as a majority), legalised abortion, so why isn't the US making it a countrywide right.

I am a white, straight passing female whose partner got snipped, so those things don't affect me personally. (They do however affect any number of my friends and family members. So I still care.)
But as a mother to a medically fragile child with cognitive delays, I am concerned about the ADA and the DOE being dismantled. Those are my immediate concerns for my 3 small daughters. (All under 10.) But you best believe that the concerns for their medical safety never once left my window of concern.

totally. there are so many facets of concern right now, it's almost hard to go in one direction with which one affects us each the most... and beyond even that, which ones affect us all collectively the most. it's such a garbage dump of a time.

@fatsajak The first time he was elected, I was pregnant with my first. We didn't find out the gender. But I cried, terrified I'd have a girl.
3 daughters later, and he's elected again. 2 days later, I had a massive panic attack thinking about what this meant for that same baby I cried for 8 years ago.
All of the ignorance and straw man arguments just to justify a religious comeback, in her video, is disgusting. I can't stand these grifters who find it easier to pretend its about religion, instead of just admitting they were never inclusive in the first place, and don't want/intend to be.

Highly recommend adding “Blueprint for a Revolution” to your reading list if you haven’t read it already! Tons of ideas for non-violent resistance against fascism.

i just find it kind of amusing how Gabbie keeps doing this "filming myself in front of the mirror while supposedly talking to my subscribers". She never looks at the camera in her phone. It's either looking at herself in the mirror or looking at herself on her phone screen. The woman who throws around the term narcissist as an insult constantly. How is that irony not lost on her?

It’s so exhausting to explain to people that even though Trump is pro-abortion (which I’m not sure he even is, he’s always one foot in one foot out) HE IS NOT IN CHARGE OF KEEPING OR BANNING ABORTION. THE SUPREME COURT IS. AND HE CHOOSES THE SUPREME COURT. How is that hard for people to understand? Do they not know the three different branches of government?
