so i have an e36 m3 but im not sure if i have rear drums cause i know there's calipers back there, are the drum brakes only for the parking brake? shit should i cop the lil extended handle anyways?
@@CapreeSan4252 Stock brakes. I tightened it to the point where the rotor wouldn’t spin anymore without the ebrake even being pulled then I loosened it just enough to where the rotor would spin freely while the ebrake isn’t pulled. Does that make sense?
You can put it in gear. If you have a welded diff turning your steering wheel all the way will also hold it. But if you just remove the spring and screw the button back on you can pull the button outward and it’ll stay up still
@@vxruzdanz maybe the line can break but I have yet to see that happen. If anything I think the brake shoes will need replacing before anything. I know hoon garage had this ebrake setup like this too and he used it alot

There’s calipers on all 4 wheels. You have drum brakes as well. It should be the same for m3. You’ll only be able to see it by removing the rotors tho
My car has drums in the rear. Do you think it could work?
Yes, my handbrake is also a drum
Few questions, 1. How much did you tighten the drum brakes?(that part kind of confused me) and 2. What brake setup are you running?

@ONGO_ yeah, I got it. Thanks for the feed back. Keep up the channel, very high quality content.
my boi where did u get the Goiania plates? lol
i havent seen one in 7 years
My uncle owns a dealership there and when I visited last time he hooked me up with some
@@ONGO_ sick
I used to easily u-turn with the handbrake in hondas/toyotas, tried in e36 and e46 and you just barely slow down 😂
Yeah if you don’t tighten them down and warm up the pads they won’t stick at all
Where’s the hand brake from??
Drift HQ SBR handbrake
but how do you keep the car from rolling if ur stock handbrake is like that?
You can put it in gear. If you have a welded diff turning your steering wheel all the way will also hold it. But if you just remove the spring and screw the button back on you can pull the button outward and it’ll stay up still
@@ONGO_ i see, thanks for the tip. Planning on making my own drift car in the coming years so this will definetely be alot of help, cheers
@@vxruzdanz yeah man! keep it simple and get as much seat time as possible!
@@ONGO_ im rewatching and got another question, can I fuck up my handbrake line or whatever if I over use this method?
