Look into the technology we could actually have if the greedy were not just worried about their own family being the richest. If everyone saw it with their own eyes they would believe it. There is far greater technology than they are leaking to us just to keep the rich rich.

The media rallies about how the Chinese car makers have been supported by the government, so their prices are artificially low. But it accounts for at least 26% of the cars price... Of $9,7000. The vast majority of their savings is due to the vertical integration that none of the American auto companies are doing. I’m only 30 years old and I’ve never considered buying a Buick until now. That’s say A LOT about their leadership as well. The key to zero congestion is electrification? Uh....how?
Automakers have been promising zero congestion via self-driving cars for decades, even as far back as the 1950s. Congestion simply cannot be solved without reducing the amount of cars in the first place; it is a problem of geometry, not human error. Similarly with accidents, while they may be able to be reduced significantly if autonomous vehicles become safer than ones driven by people, it will be a lot harder if the infrastructure itself is not changed. Road widths must be narrowed, stroads eliminated, and land-use policy reformed. Even today where the technology exists I am skeptical that people will rely on it 24/7 and I think a lot of people just won't use it. Partially because some of the point of owning a car is being able to drive it yourself. I think in most cases public transportation will fill the role that automakers claim autonomous cars will.

    • @joeperrone6677

Layoffs occur roughly every 6 months and without notice, the bonus structure has been changed so that GM will have to pay out less to employees, forcing employees back into the office for arbitrary reasons even if they were hired in as a remote employee, removing apple car play and android auto so they can charge you a subscription fee to use the same apps, and outsourcing a lot of important work to other countries like India because its cheaper. Upgrade to the 5.3 V8 should be only $3K more with automatic transmission. As for a family hauler, bring back the Impala and stop adding tech that drives the cost up. I am all for driver assist tech like blind spot monitoring, lane keep warnings, and alarms that go off if the driver is motionless and impaired on the high end models. Self driving with the purpose of reliving the driver of the responsibility of operating the vehicle is insane. These large EV SUVs are literally 6000 pound missiles. If a 5 cent capacitor fails somewhere, it can cause a lethal collision despite the assurances they make about failsafe features. Gas or battery - all the large vehicles are ridciulously heavy. I remember following a 4WD full size GM pickup across the scales at a recycling yard. Something like 7500 lbs empty.

Who cares about the weight of their Cadillac Escalade? Y’all will literally say anything to try to fear monger folks out of wanting a Ultium product. It’s truly hilarious 😂

@@anitaru2001 Do you have a point? The Silverado EV is over 230 inches long with a 205 kWh battery pack that’s heavier than a full tank of gasoline, of course these vehicles are heavy *common sense* would tell you a fully electric FULL-SIZE pickup will be a heavy vehicle. You know know of owners who bench press their EVs. 🤡 Why is the weight of a private passenger pickup truck even being brought up? Because you have nothing else to talk about and nothing bad to say about the product.

Reason why they have a young work force of 5 years and less is because they laid off the oldies. Not necessarily cause young wants to work there. More of a cause and effect. But credit to a great spin on narrative. Lol

Stop it Electric motors make the vet better in every way... drive a EVet you will never go back to a slow ... noisy smelly gas vet.. never,... yo you can run an EVet super hard... and never over heat it or burn the valves or pistons... an EVet will go a million miles and still drive like new,

You get it. EV's are simply better in nearly every way. To drive one is to want one. Most of the silly comments must come from folks who've never driven an EV and are operating on ten year old anti-EV misinformation.
