She's Canadian Moroccan - so really she grew up in Canada. I'd highly recommend listening to Tears of Gold (acoustic live) and Fur Elise (acoustic live) as a starting point. She is a PHENOMENAL talent, one of the best of the current generation. "RIP, Love" has a nice Arabic influence if you want some of that flavour.
She took China by storm and this song was one of the reasons. The version in her Singer 2024 performance was stepped up a notch with the flutters in the melismas (microtones?). Her other performances there were also top notch. Others sill give specific songs - they are all good. She sings in English, French and Arabic. And now a bit in Mandarin as well. She writes most of her own songs, but in the Singer 2024 performances, had to do mostly covers until the final performances. Phenomenal song writer and also a multi instrumentalist.
Faouzia is one of the best singers of her generation. Please react to more of her, I recommend Fur Elise live performance, R.I.P Love on The Singer 2024 and Tears of gold (stripped). Enjoy!
I'm so glad you finallyyy reacted to her! She's an amazing Moroccan Canadian singer, and she's SO talented. Her tone, voice control, power, and range are beyond incredible. She's literally one of the best vocalists of our generation. Please do more reactions to her! Most of her original songs are in English (though she has a stunning cover of a popular French song), but what makes her stand out especially internationally is how she beautifully infuses her Moroccan and Arab heritage into her music. It's refreshing and adds a unique flavor to her sound, she also plays the piano, violin, and guitar. You'll see her versatility shine if you're up for reacting to more of her music. :) If you're willing to react to more songs, here are some recommendations for future reactions (all of these are her original songs btw): "Fur Elise (Live Performance)," "Tears of Gold (Stripped)," "RIP Love (From The Singer 2024)," "You Don't Even Know Me (Stripped)," "Exothermic," and "Minefields" with John Legend. She has also done amazing covers on this show called The Singer 2024 (it is a Chinese competition for professional singers and the judges are the audience. She's been placing in the top 3 throughout the whole show, and she won 1st place three times), where she incorporated her own style into them. A few amazing performances are: "Grenade," "Desert Rose" (this one is more recent than the one you reacted to in this video), "Cry Me a River," and "Love on the Brain."
Oh you need to hear her most recent version of this cover which she sang in a chinese show called Singer 2024.. it was simply mesmerising. Although she was born in Morocco, she actually grew up in Canada, so the fact that she still stayed true to her roots is commendable imo. She sings mostly in English but she incorporates a lot of the Arabic singing style in her songs, i recommend RIP Love and Don't Tell Me I'm Pretty as an example
This young woman is a tour de force in her vocal dynamics ! This beautiful rendition of" Desert Rose" live in concert with just the piano. Highlights her wonderful vocal artistry. As you will find out Faouzia is a Moroccan Canadian singer who grew up in Canada. Plays three instruments, speaks three languages and finishing her engineering degree at university and an internationally acclaimed artist. Unfortunately, she's not well known in Canada, which is unbelievable. This girl is absolutely talented. She is one of the great singer songwriters and she writes most of her own music as you will find out on your journey with her. Recently competed in China where she actually blew the audiences away and where the Chinese audiences will give her the global recognition she needs. They absolutely loved her over there and she was there for 2 months in a singing competition in which she competed against some of the greatest Chinese artists ! I want to thank you for finally reacting to this wonderful artist. Her best singing I think are the stripped down versions with her. either playing the piano or just singing with the piano as you can really enjoy her vocal performances. Her videos are absolutely mind-blowing and so fun to watch. She is so much different in the videos and they are absolutely different than the Pop-Tarts of today. Enjoy it my friend. I know you're an Arab at heart and I know you will love this beautiful young woman and please react to more and more of her music because it is so much appreciated by her fans all over the world. Thank you and sending you much love and thanks from Canada 👍🇨🇦❤️
Great reaction! Faouzia is one of my absolute favorite female singers, and I will follow your journey closely and with pleasure 😊 Love from Norway 🇳🇴❤🇳🇴❤🇳🇴❤
Glad to watch you reacting to FAOUZIA's ! The next ones should be like : "Cry me a river", "Ice", "Paparazzi", "I wanna dance with somebody", "Crazy", "R.I.P Love", "Grenade" from the competition "Singer 2024". Plus, other performances in Chinese like : "The devil from heaven" and "Reflection". And others : "Birds of a feather" performed on the show "The Next Singer". Or/and, her originals : "This mountain" (Acoustic), "Bad dreams" (Stripped), "Born without a heart" (Stripped), "How it all works out" (Stripped), "You don't even know me" (Stripped), "Puppet" (Official music video), "Hero" (Orchestral: Official visual), "Fur elise" (Live performance), "Elon" (Stripped: Live In Concert from the Burton Cummings Theatre), "Anybody else", "My Heart's Grave", "The road", "Don't tell me I'm pretty", "I'm blue". Plus, her cover of : "Middle child" (J. Cole), and "Starboy" (The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk). [Note : She's the song-writer of all her originals, including "R.I.P Love" and "Ice" both performed on the competition Singer 2024.]
I think 'Tears of gold' live is a good start to get know her incredible voice. She has a lot of amazing songs. Her voice is out of this world. Oh, and a side note, she and Dimash were on 'The Singer' a few months ago.
Best female singer right now. You’re going to be amazed by the things she can do with her voice. Tears of gold would be a good start, always acoustic versions for her.
I really love Faouzia. I found out about her when I watched the chinese show I am a Singer 2024 , in which Dimash participated as a guest. All of Fauzia's performances on this show were fantastic.
Waiting for ages for you to react to her. I absolutely loved it. I love her and now I do love you because you are My favorite Pool Messi, spontaneous, crazy and extremely funny so a complete package of a reactor. Keep up the great work FYI, her masterpiece if she would have to have only one song would be Tears of Gold stripped version. She primarily sings in English maybe few songs in French and besides desert Rose, I have not heard her sing in Arabic except words here and there and I am a huge huge fan.
I was lucky enough to see her in concert and she sang this song. The microphone and speakers were glitching so she sang without them and the power and quality of her voice was absolutely amazing & mesmerizing.
Thanks! She is Canadian Moroccan. Grew up in Canada. The better version of this is the Live version from The Singer competition in China. ruclips.net/video/-M67Obk8bis/видео.html She is a song writer and plays multiple instruments including piano and violin. I highly recommend Fur Elise Live. It is an original and brilliant ruclips.net/video/2Kw8g6PjnvA/видео.html Also her original Ice which she premiered on The Singer Live. Her live performances are better than recorded I think.
She was born in Morocco, and her family moved to Canada when she was a baby. She grew up in a French-speaking community in an English-speaking province. So, guess what? She spoke Arabic at home, French at school, and English when they went to town. Her parents love her singing, but they made her go to university to learn something that would make a safer career. So, she majored in computer engineering at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Canada. I don't think she finished the degree, however. It seems that success and fame in the music world won out. Thank God!
It reminds me a lot of flamenco vocal styles which is also freestyle-like, you can see the merge these cultures had, faouzia is one of the best singers of her generation! Greetings from Spain.
Fantastic reaction to Faouzia! Welcome to her world!! Enjoy the rabbit hole you are about to go down, it is filled with lots of fantastic surprizes and fun songs she's covered, created and changed. She's recently been on the show Singer 2024 in China, each week coming in the top three and 4th over all at the end. She stayed in China to do a follow-up show called The Next Singer 2024 and this week will be her 4th week on that show. I think she has many facets to her singing style, so don't peg her into just one, she has great ballads where her voice soars, but pop songs where her fun bubbly personality shines as well. She currently has sang in 4 different languages, English, Arabic, French and from being on the show in China she tackled learning a few songs in Mandarin and many Chinese reactors have been extremely impressed with her pronunciation of the words, as they couldn't hear an accent. So, you've got a lot to choose from for your next stop in her catalogue, enjoy!! Oh, and we almost had a collab of her with Dimash on the show as well, but he was paired with one of the other contestants instead. I hope soon they will be able to do something together, their voices would be phenomenal together!
Great reaction! Faouzia is one of the best vocalists of her generation. Would love to see you react to her own music starting by Fur Elise live performance. Enjoy!
She mostly writes and sings her songs in English. But she does infuse some Arabic in there sometimes. Her song Ya Habibi is completely in English, but just the words "Ya Habibi" are used instead of "Oh Baby". And in her song Puppet, she has the Arabic word "Huriyya" in between there. And in her song Don't Tell Me I'm Pretty, she plays the Darbouka (Arabic drums) as part of the instrumentation for the song. But if you're looking for a purely Arabic song, she has done that too. She's released a song called Ken Thhaddek Entouhib which is the Arabic translation of the song I Dare You To Love by Kelly Clarkson. Kelly made an EP containing her song translated into and sung by many international languages by multiple artists. They all sing alongside Kelly in each of the songs, coz she also learns a bit of the lyrics from each language version of her song and sings with them. Faouzia was chosen for the Arabic version of the song. But it's a very North African type of Arabic. You can hear the influences of their unique words in the lyrics, so mainstream Arabs might not really understand all of it, but it's a great song regardless. They go off into some great high notes in there. Worth checking it out, her only Arabic song. Just search "I Dare You - Faouzia"
The version of sting was very popular here in germany, it was one of the favorite songs of my passed mother. I really love her "Fur Elise" too. Would love to see a reaction to that!
I came for your The Warning reactions, and I'm staying long-term for Faouzia. Massive rabbit hole with a lot less recognition than she deserves, even though people are starting to know more about her globally Hopefully her fans will find this and steer you in the right direction because there are years of amazing videos starting from ridiculous talent from her teen years that she posted to Tik Tok She is very proud of her Moroccan heritage, and integrates it into her singing, but also capably attacks many different pop genres with vocal athleticism that I don't think I have ever heard in the sheer breadth of her abilities (Honestly with all respect the rendition you just watched is one of the least impressive of any versions you can pick.)
Good man, please react to any of her original songs, and yes, be proud because she is an exceptional, unique multi-instrumental artist that carries very much the arab culture in her music and interpretation... with a tremendous career ahead.
you should listen to her cover of this song in the chinese show called the singer, so much better trust me BRO + PLEASE MORE OF FAOUZIAAAAAAAAAAA , SHE DESERVES IT
React to desert Rose in the singer competition another best version of this 2024. Also (fur Elise) live version . (Rip love) In the singer's competition (clearly live) you will be more than amazed with what she can do .great reaction arab bro❤
I love many of Faouzia’s Songs. I love her Pop Songs. The melismas are beautiful. I love that she can cover a song by Cheb from Algeria 🇩🇿. I love watching DJ Snakes “Disco Maghreb” where at the beginning it shows the one ☝🏽 place where they produced Algerian Music at Disco Maghreb where it all happened. His song is a Tribute to his Algerian roots and culture on his mother’s side. Thank you for reacting to Faouzia…her Fur Elise is beautiful I listen to it when I start cleaning …which is daily dang it. I’m old and I have several cats so I must clean daily lol 😝. * if you get the opportunity please react to Gabriel Henrique an artist from Brazil and his collaboration with KEVZ from Chile 🇨🇱. This is the first time Gabriel is singing in Spanish and they cover an Adele’s Song “Love in the Dark”. It’s absolutely stunning.
You talked about Algerian culture in her singing which is not, while the middle eastern musical characteristics are there in her fantastic rendition of the song.
😍😍 love her qnd your reaction. Please check out artist called Tamino, live at ab belquic full concert and his last album sahar i have a feeling you may like him, he is erethreal haunting and mesmerising has a great vocal range xx
I really enjoyed your reaction and analysis of this video. I think you will find a great deal that you will enjoy in the Faouzia rabbit hole. Her stripped live recording tend to be better than her more polished music videos (although Minefields with John Legend, Hero and Puppet are exceptions to this).
You never listen to Arab music? I can remember Ofra Haza had huge hit in Europe with the song Im nin Alu. But one song you probably like is her duet with the Sisters of Merci with the song the temple of love. And what about Cheb Khaled had a huge hit with the song (cover) Aicha. Some different kind of music is made by the Egyptian DJ's Vini Vici, their song Great Spirit is a world hit and for a part made by the influence of the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren.
Great to get a critique of this song from an Arab. Cheb Mami starts off singing in Arabic and there is a word he repeats, "غزالتي", three times. I don't read or speak any form of Arabic but when translated this word is purported to mean "gazelle", a type of African antelope, or maybe the translation is wrong. Because of the beauty and grace of this animal is it sometimes used as a term of endearment to describe woman? Also, can you also explain the use of "Maqam, مقامات" in Arabic music? What is it exactly?
1st time hearing her????? god damn how did no one suggested her to you before?? you are in for a journey BTW this is not her best version of it by far, I really hate that you listened to the wrong version 1st, I wish I had recommended this one to you earlier. ruclips.net/video/-M67Obk8bis/видео.html
This was actually one of the most popular requests in reaction channels before she did the singer. It’s not a bad choice. Every time she sang that song it was very popular actually.
looking for the link promised to other singers, and not finding. It's probably my 70 yr old clumsiness in finding things online - could someone tell me how to find the link?
How she is not better known is a travesty. She needs to get a better management team, although that means firing her sister. Her talent is next level and she should be more famous.
Just my opinion, but as you probably be only able to react to some of her stuff, I recommend skipping the Chinese singer covers or her official videos, and instead go for her live stripped(acoustic) performances of her original songs, like Fur Elize, Elon, etc.
EXCUSE ME?? WHAT AN OFFENSE TO FAOUZIA, WHO IS SO PROUD OF HER MOROCCAN ROOTS AND CULTURE, TO SAY THAT THIS IS ALGERIAN KIND OF MUSIC????? AMONG THE CULTURES OF THE ARAB MAGHREB, THE MOROCCAN IS CONSIDERED THE MOST RICH AND ORIGINAL, AND THE ONE THAT INFLUENCED THE MUSICAL TRENDS IN THE ARAB MAGHREB, SINCE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ONE OF THE OLDEST KINGDOMS IN THE WORLD (MORE THAN 13 CENTIRIES IS THE AGE OF THE KINKDOME MOROCCO). EVEN THE RAY MUSIC IT EXISTED IN THE EAST FOR MOROCCO FOR CENTURIES.
What you say is irrelevant since you are talking about your own sense of nation. "Desert Roses" is a song by British singer Sting, who co-wrote it with Algerian singer Cheb Mami. Except for the brief Arabic lyrics at the beginning, the song is primarily a Western pop song with an Arabic flavor. Faouzia originally covered the song for the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation in 2020. She grew up in Canada from age one, and she may not be familiar with the songs trending in Arabic-speaking countries, so she chose an English pop song with an Arabic flavor.
She's not that much of an arab artist - she grew up in Canadian praries. Sting sang this song, if you remember. I loved it at the time - listened over and over again. Loved Faouzia's version too.
@itzel1735 It's never late - look at Beyonce. There're many Canadian artists in Nashville. I wonder how it would click with a certain strata of the audience. I love country music if not for the lyrics (in many cases): too depressing.
She's Canadian Moroccan - so really she grew up in Canada. I'd highly recommend listening to Tears of Gold (acoustic live) and Fur Elise (acoustic live) as a starting point. She is a PHENOMENAL talent, one of the best of the current generation. "RIP, Love" has a nice Arabic influence if you want some of that flavour.
she lived in canada but her home was filled with arabic culture , so she grew up listening to arabic songs that's where she got that influence from .
@@yaackoubdaami2584she’s Moroccan 🔥🔥

Yeeeeeeszzzzzzzzzsss long time waiting your reaction.

2024 version in the Singer it is really good, I love that version
Faouzia and family immigrated to Canada when she was 1 yrs old.

She needs more recognition to be honest 😢😢😢 it’s so sad
😊shukran ya habibi

The whole concert is amazing!
When looking for her videos pick the “stripped” version. Other versions are more contemporary style

Watch Faouzia sing "RIP Love" on The Singer 2024
Rip love
I hope you'll check out Faouzia's recent song "Woman". And the live version of "Fur Elise". Great reaction!
Please react to her "singer 2024" performances and I think her desert rose performance is better on singer 2024 you should check that out too
😍😍 love her qnd your reaction. Please check out artist called Tamino, live at ab belquic full concert and his last album sahar i have a feeling you may like him, he is erethreal haunting and mesmerising has a great vocal range xx
Fouzia is a Moroccan Canadian ..... u know this .... dont say u dont.....
Hello dear please could you react to her new cover birds of a feather - Faouzia in China competition
I really enjoyed your reaction and analysis of this video. I think you will find a great deal that you will enjoy in the Faouzia rabbit hole. Her stripped live recording tend to be better than her more polished music videos (although Minefields with John Legend, Hero and Puppet are exceptions to this).
React to her tears of gold 💫
😍
❤️
awesome video and song and comments...wheres the link to the song? thank you :D
You Should also check out Elyanna she’s an palestinian singer
1st time hearing her????? god damn how did no one suggested her to you before?? you are in for a journey
BTW this is not her best version of it by far, I really hate that you listened to the wrong version 1st, I wish I had recommended this one to you earlier.

to each his own i think this version is much better then the one she did in china.
This was actually one of the most popular requests in reaction channels before she did the singer. It’s not a bad choice. Every time she sang that song it was very popular actually.
Please react to ice by faouzia in the live performance
Arabic has about 12,000,000 words, English 50,000, also Faouzia is a Canadian born in Morocco
looking for the link promised to other singers, and not finding. It's probably my 70 yr old clumsiness in finding things online - could someone tell me how to find the link?
How she is not better known is a travesty. She needs to get a better management team, although that means firing her sister. Her talent is next level and she should be more famous.
Fouzia is moroccon women
Where's the video you said you were going to pin? I was looking for it.
Would some mind writing the Arab artists he mentions? I am always trying to find indie Arabic music without much luck yet. Thank you!
Man lisen this guys Antonio Molina and juanito valderrama enoy
كنت حريص تعرف لأغنية من وين بس ماكنت حريص تعرف المغنية من وين
You need to check her stripped versions !
She’s from Morroco, she’s Amazigh not arab
Just my opinion, but as you probably be only able to react to some of her stuff, I recommend skipping the Chinese singer covers or her official videos, and instead go for her live stripped(acoustic) performances of her original songs, like Fur Elize, Elon, etc.
check and react to her stripped versions and her covers on the singer 2024
She s Not Arab sir she s Berber amazigh
She is not Real !!!!!!!¡!!
She is not Arab
الى كنتي عربوش هي ماشي عربوشية بحالك
Unfortunately, this is autotuned. She does not need autotune.
I love country music if not for the lyrics (in many cases): too depressing.
maybe not an "arab" artist, but definitely a moroccan one.
@@onlybeholder Nah hollywood destroy Canadian musicians and artist...look what happen to Justin....even Beyonce was in Pdiddy party
@@onlybeholder yeh sting learn that style of adlibbing from an Arab singer.
